  1. EV sales are up. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/oct/04/carmakers-ramp-up-pressure-on-chancellor-for-ev-sales-subsidies#:~:text=The British industry sold 56%2C300,during the month were electric.
  2. Please don't lower my expectations any further 😭
  3. Under two weeks now until I find out what Sixt thinks is similar to a Peugeot 308. Suggestions welcome.
  4. Nice Scala. How's it handle standard?
  5. If you find something from an EU seller I'm happy to have it sent to me and I can forward it on when I'm in the UK in mid October to *ahem* a nod's as good as a 😉
  6. Can't believe what he drives from this as the opening line is a lie... https://www.expressvehiclecontracts.co.uk/blog/elon-musk-is-the-brains-behind-tesla…-but-what-vehicles-are-in-his-garage- Tesla was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning in 2003.
  7. That wasn't made clear in your previous post. It would have been better to have quoted what was in the YT vid as it comes across as being your words.
  8. If your Yeti has Maxidot then the display can show oil temperature which may give you an indication. Given your knowledge I'm sure you could also jerry rig a coolant temperature gauge somehow.
  9. Climate change is real. The jury might still be out on the causes but it's 100% happening.
  10. Actual image of me looking back at them
  11. They do now. I've shots somewhere of Elmo's Starlinks interfering with my pics. A growing problem with astrophotography is satellites photo bombing shots where the shutter is open for so long to capture deep space stuff This is a screenshot of what can be achieved with the lens I have. It's a labourious process that involves many hours of open shutter and processing. I have a long way to go.
  12. I only got into DSLR stuff last year with a bargain Canon 250D. That led me into astrophotography so I bought the Samyang F2 135mm as it was highly recommended. And then the Skywatcher auto tracking mount. And the dew heater, and the power units and the mini PC and..... Rabbit hole I know it might not look much but this is my current setup sans mini PC and PSU
  13. Holy **** that's not a cheap lens!
  14. I'll check ours when it's back tomorrow. It passed its TüV but had to wait for a part. I pressed her on it and I think I narrowed 'fronts suspension axel thingy' to wishbone or 'Radaufhängung'. Anyway it was very clean inside when it left and she says it's the best car she's ever owned. Even better than any Gold she ever owned. To be honest I'm looking forward to getting it back as well as I agree with her. It's a fantastic SE Plus spec that was never sold in the UK.
  15. Same on my 1.9TDi Fabia. You'd think they could have used something more resistant to heat.
  16. Great shots, Mick
  17. James May drives the Cybertruck.
  18. That's the one. Thanks @Kenny R 👍
  19. Don't. You want a softer yellower light in fog and snow. White LED light will just reflect back making driving in for snow much worse.
  20. Is it not a generic VW group cup shaped ashtray that goes in a cup holder?
  21. Just expressing an opinion, George. Cheap Chinese steel made by Chinese human drones who aren't all that well paid, cheap plastics and varying quality elctrics and electronic components. Not to mention the miles travelled to get to Europe etc. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft and others really should have got ahead of the curve a while back IMO
  22. I eeven made room for that other shelf set that's in one of the pics. Just need to get to the DIY place for a few more Euro boxes for more organisation.
  23. China will be more than happy to supply dodgy RHD BEV's to the UK for much cheapness I imagine.
  24. Just spent a few hours on mine as it was a bit of a mess despite me knowing (mostly) where everything was (approximately roughly honest!) This was after clearing some junk out already. Getting there. Just about done! Note to self; NO MORE BIT SETS!
