  1. I can't be sure but I think the furring is caused by a reaction between the alloy wheels and the steel hub and the wheel bolts. I forgot to add that I believe it's the same reaction that causes alloys to stick firmly to the hubs hence why @Warrior193 and myself use a smear of copper grease. I never bother with it when I put my winter steelies on.
  2. Give your head a wobble 🤦
  3. How long do you think those tanks will keep a farm working? In the outback you say? So plenty of sunlight or wind available in Australia
  4. How do petrol stations operate without electricity or refineries etc etc
  5. My 2014 Rapid has never had an engine cover AFAIK.

I think the battery in question is the large 400v + lithium ion battery for the motor rather than a small 12v battery?
  7. Well that's clearly not right. I'm out of ideas but maybe someone else will have another idead. Maybe it needs a factory reset but I wouldn't do that until exploring other avenues first.
  8. OK that message says 'Your chosen languge is loading' so you might need to give it a while to load up.
  9. Should just be a deep socket I think. 8, 10, or 12mm usually depending on vehicl. You might need a knuckle/ UJ on the ratchet and some WD-40 left for a bit to sink in.
  10. Can you get into settings (Einstellungen) and then language (Sprache) and then select Englisch?
  11. Morning, Mike. Welcome
  12. Hi, Carlo. To advertise on Briskoda you'll need Freedom Lite at a minimum. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/subscriptions/
  13. If you're at the scrapyard wou'll have a decent choice - Mk 1 Octavia, Mk 4 Golf's and early Audi A 3 mirrors all fit.
  14. I saw this on SM and I have to ask if anyone knows if this is true? Seems just daft to me 🤷
  15. Do Telsa know what size the load bed is or am I missing something? https://www.tesla.com/en_gb/cybertruck
  16. TL;DR EV's LESS likely to catch fire than ICE vehicles https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/nov/20/do-electric-cars-pose-a-greater-fire-risk-than-petrol-or-diesel-vehicles?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other&fbclid=IwAR0I0zEJXXnghZQ_mHYhvK1m4PsMttiMDnFLrC9HTcN_QOgqwhna2xt2QJ0

Gary missed the i out. Try this 👍 https://www.satnavishop.co.uk/
  18. I saw BG EVs even before 2018, George. Maybe BG have more reason to Greenwash their appearance than BT/ Openreach 🤷
  19. Channel 4 News is on All4. Quite the revelation I thought.
  20. Yes quite often or hardly ever depending on what they do. That looks like an installer's van so should be going to the exchange quite often depending on their job list for the day. Putting tones on lines for fault checking, connecting jumper wires etc etc. I don't recall Openreach having any EVs when I left in 2018 and I worked out of a big yard with maybe 80 or 90 vehicles at the time. Been to dozens of exchanges and I never saw an EV charging point.
  21. All Openreach workers are issued with a company phone and are only allowed to install apps that have been cleared by BT security. Whether BT have allowed that app I don't know but that wouldn't stop him/ her installing it on their own phone if they're aware of it.
  22. I've only just seen this thanks to George replying today but, I have seen cases (albeit on Twitter) of EV drivers having their cars clamped by the DVLA for not completing the necessary paperwork.
  23. Can you old ducks stop winding each other up and having ****ing contests over who's got more HNDs etc please. Nobody really gives a toss who had to get old buses or whatever going back in the day. Ta.
