  1. Don't tell me tell the OP
  2. Hi Alan, That does not make sense, how did you discover it was plated zero for towing, where did you get that info?
  3. the numbers showed in D on my 2019 7 speed Leon
  4. Ok thanks for the replies, I have just traded in a Leon and that showed the gear number in all modes
  5. If I am in "D" (drive) or "E" (eco) I don't get any numbers showing (ie 1-7 gear) but if I am in "S" Sports mode I get 1-7. Should I not get the gear numbers in D and E ?
  6. Are I see I thought all the newer ones had a USB"C" in the housing but if not you will have fine the fuse position for the Accessory position. To do this get a multi meter and find a position that goes live with Ign on and goes off when you turn the key off (but don't forget that there is a delay when you switch off) I would use a one of the piggy back connectors so it can be fused, but there will be a two position fuse (one will be live all the time and one with the IGN) Don't use the permanently live position PS I just remembered Don't just wire the feed from the fuse directly into the dashcam the voltage out will be 12 and the camera uses 5 volts
  7. You don't need to wire to a fuse, just use a USB "C" and plug into the rearview mirror housing
  8. I think you will find that the ones that are plugged into a Cig lighters have a voltage dropper in the plug, so 12 volts in and 5 out, but the camera's are only 5 volts
  9. But you did not say if you had checked the engine oil ! I would also say I don't think it is the diff but what I suspect its a bit of engine oil that has dripped down either the block or from the filter and not wiped up. You say the AA man said you could drive it so not lost the sump plug ( I assume he checked it for tightness) So I think the garage is just guilty of not tightening the bolts for the tray
  10. I would not say that 11.95 is a goosed battery, as a lot of charging systems now have variable charging, that means if the battery needs charging it will, one thing I have noticed batteries now seem to be at a lower voltage than they used to be. But as surryJohn says there could be a drain on the battery, but one thing you have not said is how many miles a day do you drive, and have you replaced the battery at any time ?
  11. There is a trip meter, its just in a slightly different place (although it was in the Mk3 as well) Just look at the spec's for the "since filled up" and the trip is there
  12. The reason I was asking was the dealer said he would top up the Ad blue and I just wanted to see if it was full (and not taking his word for it)
  13. I have had a look on the online manual but does not show any thing about the Ad Blue quantity
  14. I still have not picked up the car and its not about Add Blue as such bit is there some form of gauge on the dash to show the level ? or does it just tell you when to top up ? Thanks in advance
  15. Yes I knew the Skoda one does not move L/R but I was just saying what the Leon did
  16. ok thanks, on my Leon I move the gear leaver to the left to get it into Manual so I will try it when I get the car
  17. Silly question, but I am picking up a Octavia VRS 4x4 and it has the paddles on the steering wheel, but cannot see how to get it into Manuel mode, on the gear leaver (if you can call it a leaver) it has "P" "N" and "R" and the park is above the leaver but cannot see a way to get into Manual ? Thanks
  18. Not the cheapest you can buy a 20 Lt drum for £24.99
  19. Hi, cannot help with the cause but a fix for the MOT is get a blue 12 volt warning lamp and connect to the main beam light so when the High beam is on the warning light comes on so sorts the MOT problem
  20. Yes its all the same
