  1. I still have not picked up the car and its not about Add Blue as such bit is there some form of gauge on the dash to show the level ? or does it just tell you when to top up ? Thanks in advance

  3. ok thanks, on my Leon I move the gear leaver to the left to get it into Manual so I will try it when I get the car

Silly question, but I am picking up a Octavia VRS 4x4 and it has the paddles on the steering wheel, but cannot see how to get it into Manuel mode, on the gear leaver (if you can call it a leaver) it has "P" "N" and "R" and the park is above the leaver but cannot see a way to get into Manual ? Thanks

  6. Hi, cannot help with the cause but a fix for the MOT is get a blue 12 volt warning lamp and connect to the main beam light so when the High beam is on the warning light comes on so sorts the MOT problem

  9. Hi It will work in the car it came out of, as the code is kept in the car, but to fit it in yours you will need to obtain one from the dealers
  10. Hi The one on the left is a antenna Connector the type that goes into a phone, so assume the black one is poss the power connector for the same. Is there a separate antenna on the roof (or may be part of the radio antenna) The other thought is could be for a sat nav system

  14. Other than it won't start, what symptoms: totally flat battery turns over but wont catch turns over slowly lights on dash come on but ?
  15. every time they MOT them they are put on a beam tester
  16. I have fitted HID's to three cars, all with standard reflector fittings and had no problems with either beam pattern or MOT's in fact one car was done in 2004 and passes every year

  18. No they are not designed for halogen bulbs as you call them,they are a high intensity discharge lamp, they work a lot better than halogen lamps they are legal and cannot see why thy are unsafe. I have fitted the kits to numerous vehicles and never had a problem, the first kit fitted was over ten years ago and the lamps are still ok
  19. why change the whole fitting when the lamp will do the job at a fraction of the price
  20. Sorry not sure your comment ! The price I quoted is for HID kit for the lamps for a Fabia,(admitting not the whole headlight fitting, but the OP said after market
  21. I don't know where you are getting that price from, last time I looked (about a week ago) they were about £39 for the kit (admitting not fitted) But its only a 1hr of a job
  22. if battery measures 15 volts and 17 when running the Alternator is at fault, should only 14,2 maximum
