  1. mine is certainly slower to start than my old MK4 Golf GT TDI. I always make sure the glowplug light is out too
  2. Same here - I jumped out of my 2018 VRS into my wife's 2003 MK4 GT TDI Golf the other day and was very surprised.
  3. I always found that my 2x10" vented box sounded better with the subs facing away from the driver, so it's worth experimenting if possible.
  4. I deep cleaned my plastic covers and used a sealant on them so I'm hoping they keep their colour
  5. yes, there should be plastic caps and yes you can paint the "hubs" (I'm assuming you mean the part of the brake disc that is visible through the wheel where the wheel attaches?)
  6. I think they are all like that - mine's always been pathetic.
  7. Labocosmetica energo is great around badges, as the dirt is usually scale from dried water
  8. Yeah, I think my other car (MK4 Golf) is the only one in the country without rusty front wings!
  9. Also look out for "surface rust" on major chassis components. Mine is 4 years old but the underneath looks more like 15!
  10. that's definitely been lowered
  11. Car - 2018 VRS Diesel 4x4 Auto Hi All Not had this issue before and can't find another post, so hopefully this isn't a duplicate.... Opened the car as normal, myself and passenger got in, started car, pulled away and within 5 seconds the alarm was going off. Turned engine off, alarm stopped. Re-started car and everything was OK. Touch wood, all OK since, but I'd like to know what caused it. Thanks
  12. I suspect the screen has been replaced as the clips are never the same afterwards
  13. Bugs and Tar should be treated differently. Most bug products I have used are OK. For tar, you need "tardis" by Autosmart (which can be tricky to get hold of, or https://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/products/carpro-trix-iron-and-tar-remover to do iron and tar in one hit
  14. I managed to turn the volume down on mine (via the steering wheel control), when she was speaking. Not heard from her since. There's a volume setting for announcements too - under settings when Nav is selected on the head unit.
  15. No Luck with the dealer either - they can only sell the whole set of rubber mats.
  16. TPS only sell all 4 = £54.17 plus vat. Garland Skoda Aldershot = "that's not a complete part number" wasn't a good start to the conversation, but they are coming back to me with a price and availability....
  17. I'm trying to find out if you can buy individual one's from TPS - hold the line please....
  18. Unfortunately it does look like a, bad, repair
