  1. I had a similar issue today - "intermitant" setting was going absolutely crazy with only a very small amount of drizzle. "On" setting seemed to be more like intermittant. And "max" was slower than everything else! Does anyone know what's going on??
  2. possibly weeping shock absorber - mine looked OK until I realised the spring cup was full of gunk from where it had been leaking.
  3. Had the wheel off over the weekend to check everything over. All looks OK and only slight damage to bumper and wheel arch liner. BUT, the engine undertray is missing 2 bolts thanks to a Main Dealer Service, which I'm less than impressed with!
  4. I'd throw a "Glaze" into the mix and put SRP in that section
  5. Hi All Mrs Nogrille has unfortunately caught the front drivers side corner of the bumper on a high kerb and got a LOAD of warnings come up - including tyre pressure, esc, etc, but she didn't hit the wheel. Are there a bunch of sensors behind the bumper that might be damaged? She's only scrapped some paint off the bottom of the bumper and dis-lodged the arch lining slightly, so doesn't look too bad. I've not driven it yet so not sure if the warnings are still there. Thanks
  6. I've been thinking about this since I first read the post
  7. I bought a relatively expensive "carbon effect" one from a well known retailer, and the quality isn't great. I'd get it PPF'd if it was me.
  8. Did you find anyone? I miss Bannings! They were great.
  9. Holy thread revival! Mine was squeeking the other day, then stopped. Was your replaced under warranty? Thanks
  10. Hi All I was turning the car around the other day and reversed up a slight incline into someone's driveway - not steep and not fast. Suddenly there was a crunch, but it wasn't the front bumper scraping on the road, the car jolted to a stop and there was an error on the dash which I didn't manage to fully read - something about manoeuvre brake? Put the car back in drive and off I went just fine. It's a DSG / 4x4 if that helps. Any ideas? Thanks
  11. it will probably just be surface rust. the black "painted" parts are not painted very well, at all
  12. All black "painted" suspension parts on mine are looking older than the rest of the car already!
  13. Hi All A friend has a dash light on because the side airbag sensor (600909606) is faulty, and apparently no longer available from Skoda. Also, Golf parts are the same but the software if different.... Has anyone come across this? And replaced the part? If so, how? Thanks
  14. Mine definately regens more when it hasn't got VPower in it
  15. Morning All Had weird issue this morning when starting the car - 2018 VRS Diesel DSG 4x4 Car struggled to start on first key turn, but did start. Then as soon as I put the car in Drive and tried to pull away, it stalled. Tried again and had the same issue, but with "start car manually" message. I'm assuming this is a low battery issue? Thanks
  16. any chance you can upload this image again as it's no longer working? Or point me in the right direction?
  17. Correct. And the two other straps on the left of the pic are for a warning triangle
  18. To say I'm obsessed is an understatement
  19. I use https://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/collections/interior-products/products/detail-factory-black-ultra-soft-detailing-brush-set to dust down first the nooks and cranny's, then a wipe down with a dedicated interior only microfibre and some suitably diluted APC.
  20. I wouldn't bother with the Turtle Wax stuff - if it does do anything (like hide swirls) then the detailer will just have to work harder to remove it and get back to bare paint to start the correction.
  21. I think it might be time to name and shame the VAG "specialist"
  22. yeah definitely take it up a level. The paint should not be peeling off, unless someone's already re-painted them, badly
