  1. Thanks Andrew. Unfortunately the PD170 link appears to be broken...
  2. Not been on the forum for a while. What's the 'Skoda Gasket' cure for stuttering all about?
  3. In the space behind the front bumper I believe. My sensor came off its mounting and worked its way under the engine on the undertray. Lovely and warm, it ensured the tempreature indication was tropical, even in mid-winter!
  4. Sounds to me like you need full four-wheel tracking, camber etc set-up done. Your car should be rock solid on the M/way.
  5. In future an unmarked vRS in your rear view mirror will be no more... http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/News/Search-Results/Industry-News/Choice-of-UK-police-cars-massively-slimmed-down/
  6. I wonderd when someone was going to suggest improved dampers! KONI FSDs do a similar job (a bit cheaper than Bilstiens)
  7. What about leather Recaros from a Golf V R32?
  8. Yeah give it some beans! http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
  9. I will ask them, but it's not a matter of hard or soft, but whether it fits! The void in the OEM bush is quite different in the TDI...
  10. Regrettably not one of these designs fits the vRS TDI, only the petrol models...
  11. Add KONI FSDs for the perfect ride/handling compromise.
  12. Not mine...but a misplaced badge like that usually indincates a front end smash and a body shop that stuck the replacement badge in the wrong place. Buyer beware! Cheers Dave.
  13. Sorry another nooby question: is the TFSI the engine in the Golf GTI MK6? And if so, does this mean the Octy RS has the old engine with cam belt rather than chain?
  14. Are you sure your FSDs are performing as they should? Several on here have had the fronts fail (including me). I understand KONI have done a re-design/cure. At least two members have reported the replacements are better than the original set. Easy to find out - do a 'bounce test' at the front of the car. Open the bonnet and push down hard on the slam panel. The car should dip, but instantly stabilise. If your FSDs are shot, the car will continue to bounce.
  15. I see that KONI now list FSD dampers suitable for the Scout. They will massively improve ride quality while also enhancing your handling.
  16. Have you tried it? Mine 'packed up' the other day for no reason. Once car was switched off and left for a couple of hours , CC was up and runnning again next time I switched on, and has been OK ever siince.
  17. As I recall they don't fit. I looked into this a while back and the length was wrong and the 'shark fin' that kicks up just ahead of the rear wheel arch was too wide.
  18. Provided the car has not been built (of course) then the dealer can fax (yes I did say fax) a change of spec to the factory. I did it and I know it works.
  19. I've successfully used Chips Away several times, though not in your area.
  20. Similar experience (though not as bad) happened to me, thanks to a tyre fitting bay (though they completely denied it of course). Ended up an insurance job, so cost me just the £100 excess. Has to be pulled out, filled, sprayed with the anti-chip coating then painted.
  21. Don't know if this helps... http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/99789-pics-of-my-motor-white-vrs/page__hl__rsbspt
