  1. Shame about the colour scheme.
  2. Are the 235's OK on the 7J x 17 rims though? I think 7.5 is fine but not 7. @Carlston will know the score.
  3. If really in P and not just showing P and the e-brake / parking brake applied it would not move as the front wheels would be locked in PARK by the pawl.
  4. @dieselV6 Is there manufacturers selling a car in 2025 in the UK that suits your requirements? Any there any from the VW Group, a SEAT, VW, Audi, Porsche or Bentley?
  5. @warmrain Thanks. Do not be shy. What size have the dealer fitted and what size are the ones not changed. As it is a spare might be slightly different to both the front and rear. You just reset the TPMS which has no Valve Sensors in the wheel. So do you have a FWD Karoq or one with Part Time all wheel drive. (Haldex)
  6. @warmrain Could you just say what it is that you want to do to your Karoq that many others might not already have done?
  7. Is it the Factories installed Moisture sensor?
  8. I take it that one service showing is an INSPECTION Service. Because a muppet technician left that showing. So it is Oil and Inspection services and at 3 years oil and inspection and extended scope. When on fixed serving. No just INSPECTION SERVICES.
  9. A later car, especially 2024/ 2025 is very much different as they built the cars to meet the new legislation. Even if the UK is no longer in the EU. Some stuff is just as they produced them.
  10. Sorry no idea. Are you asking because of the TPMS. Tyre pressure loss , difference in setting and tyre circumference / total diameter.? You can put different pairs by size on front and back and set the TPMS and not get warnings. Within sensible differences.
  11. PS. Low oil pressure and low oil warnings. Were you running with low oil levels. Are you still running with too low a quantity of oil. Do you check it when cold then at operating temp after the service. ??? Have you ran with too much oil in? Are you checking the oil level?
  12. Very surprising if it never went to high 90,s indicated or even 100+ in hot weather even at 70 mph in the UK. That is perfectly normal. As to 80 mph and above then perfectly ok. Other than you are exceeding the speed limit not how the oil is designed to behave. What matters is how soon the oil which is a coolant gets the cars coolant back down to an indicated 92-94 degrees when you slow down.
  13. The speed alert how ever you can turn off or reduce the sound because still not required as law in the UK other than in Northern Ireland. I had a courtesy car Electric Mini last week and there are 20 mph roads and the car going Ooo Ooo Ooo. Finding how to switch off was not worth it. But any longer with the car I would have had to because coasting or or not on full regeneration it did 21 miles down the high street.
  14. A 1.4 tsi or TFSI PHEV has a 6 speed wet DQ400 e DSG. and needs the DSG serviced every 40,000 miles. Maybe even 38,000 being an Audi. Different from a DQ200. Ps it can be changed to fixed servicing. But as it is, is it showing first at 9,400 miles 12 months. Or is it at 24 months, 18,000-20,000? At the PDI sometime changed from variable without asking or permission given. But before getting the car is when to say what you want.
  15. Is the A3 a 1.5 TSI with a S-tronic 7 speed twin dry clutch the same as the DQ200 on the Karoq?
  16. Guest_ replied to a post in a topic in Škoda Kamiq
Has anyone with Lane Keep assist crashed or collided with anything yet with it giving a warning tug or twitch? @Paws4Thot have you been driving any of the more recent built cars and had any issues with Lane Keep Assist or noticed that because of it making you aware that you wander about in your lane?
  17. For making up a Rainbow bingo card game BMWs and Audi have the rare colours out there and many greens purples yellows and bright colours and MG,s and Renault or Audi have the Orange metallic or solid. Also many shades of blue.
  18. We can count on the chargers that will be getting used for the ECO Rally are in full working order. At that time anyway.
  19. I was passed a huge parking area with some very bright coloured cars and then realised it was new BYD,s and not just the small ones. Not able to stop. Looking forward to going back that way and stopping to get a closer look see at them. PS. European and Asian / far eastern car manufacturers have their factories in Europe, some in Hungary which is energy rich became Russia allows them to get the electricity and gas. No sanctions happening over that. Even VW group takes advantage of that special relationship that the EU likes to ignore.
  20. The real p|th take us the Hire Car delivery drivers are tag teaming two of the chargers. They take one car off and wait in it til another of their drivers arrived and put that car in. While their company takes advantage private or business drivers are heading off to BP or now more commonly the Arnold Clark chargers. I did tell one driver about the chargers around the back that I now use.
  21. Edinburgh Airport. Park and Ride. 7 X 50 kW chargers. 4 out of service and 3 working. Same old same old. Thank goodness I am in a diesel and waiting about not going through the carry on with cards not starting the 3 that are powered up and people needing to phone to get started. Then hitting the emergency stop to stop charging.
  22. Warning. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/513601-warning-bosch-oil-filter-for-1.2-tsi-ea111-cbzacbzb
  23. On the 1.4 TSI Twincharges to check the Oil cold and the Oil & operating temp you could do the getting oil hot thing. Or do a simple test. Cold dip. Get in car or just reach in. Turn on the ignition, fire engine and run about a few seconds. turn off, dip it. You got the same reading. The Filters were different on the Twinchargers from the Black ones, that then changed to the Silver. People messed up the readings. Also the 3.6 litres was never enough oil. 3.9 / 4.0 litres was nd is the correct quantity. & 1.3 litres low, the Low Oil pressure might show before the Low Oil Warning. It is not rocket science, just checking the oil. But then if you trust it was right at the service that can bite you in the bum. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/306306-word-of-warning-dipping-vrs-oil-level But these might use oil, and worse still start off with not enough oil, and if not checked before warnings you were 1/3rd low. Page 2. 25th November 2016 & we are doing Jabazuma oil checks. Start the cold engine and stop it again. Oil up in the top. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/417842-mow-much-oil-is-half-up-the-dip-stick/page/2 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/417842-how-much-oil-is-half-the-dip-stick
  24. The Tyre thread that keeps on giving. What is available now in your country in the size & is the price good for All Season tyres pre the busy buying / fitting time for people getting ready for winter? Are there tyres they are clearing because the New Generation / Evolution of tyres will be arriving?
  25. It is as simple as that. See where the oil is cold in the sump. Pre engine fired up. All drained down. That level in a 1.2 TSI might well be higher up the dipstick that after 10 miles of driving, oil up to 90*oC or so, stopped a few minutes. (A few is a few, 4 or 5.) Oil Filter up top of engine. Different filters 2010-2011, 2011 on. Different Oil Capacity as well. As long as enough in, and as long as not overfilled.
