  1. In year 4 and 5 what are you having to pay for that is not included in the All in plan? Will you have the brake fluid changed at 3 years? Then to pay for at 5 years. Is the Pollen filter included @ 4 years? Are they even going to look at the air filter or change it in year 3, 4 or 5? I assume the AC is not being checked or serviced. Is your DSG going to be due a service by year 5 and are you just paying for that? Is it a TSI & getting Spark Plugs changed or a TDI and having the fuel filter replaced?
  2. Welcome. How did the shocker get battered? Was there a kerbing / pothole incident? Why did you not pay to have both shocks replaced? If you have un-matching tyres on the same axle then some noise might be expected. 4 wheel alignment done by a competent person might be a good idea. & things in pairs that match. ? What is the Rocker cover about.
  3. Show them @ the Service desk your letter from Skoda UK or CZ or was that a dealership as you said in another thread about Cambelts. Go to an Automatic Gearbox Specialist if you are not going to trust the Main Dealers who tell you one thing. They do change the Oil in DSG,s if people are prepared to pay, well unless they have already messed up doing a simple job. Maybe the policy has changed. But you were told it was recommended.
  4. @Bouicca21 If you are in the UK then there is no 98 octane petrol sold. It is E5 97 or 99 ron minimum. 95 ron in the UK is E10. When were the spark plugs last changed, any history, any time in the last 40,000 miles / 4 years as per the Schedule , guidelines, recommendation, advice?

  6. If you really want it changed go to an Automatic Gearbox Specialist. There are 2 oils. In the MCU an in the box. There is no Service Schedule, recommendations, guidelines or advice from VW Group / Skoda to service the DQ200 DSG. In Sport the DSG should be holding to a higher RPM before changing up, the whole point of S. ? How many miles has the car done? EDIT. Why are those that gave advice or information to have the DQ200 DSG serviced not prepared to do it?
  7. ^^^ Knowing the profile is fine, but what is the width that the profile is 45% of? Or the width of those with 40 profile, so the sidewall is 40% of the tyres width. Both being 19" wheels / tyres.
  8. On my MINI Electric i have Maxxis AP3 Premitra. Excellent All-Seasons, wet, dry / hot and Snow / Cold. They come in 215/55 R 17 98 W. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/382657-maxxis-ap2-all-season-tyres-update-2024-maxxis-ap3
  9. It is a great story often repeated and now likes fact and Skoda sticking up 'V',s (Churchill Like) to Ford and the Rally Sport. Porsche obviously never needed to fight Ford or say on your bike we are here with RS. & Chevrolet had RS badged cars in the 1960,s.
  10. No @Graham Butcher Not if the same class or style as some Old Classics and some Limos, or like the Gangster Funeral in Glasgow a couple of days ago Silver Mercs and Blacked out window SUV,s. But then not everyone is flash with a Registry Office wedding. Or a simple funeral when all they want is a Taxi / Large Family car for an hour or 3. Point being, it happens. You rich Southerners are there showing your money, looking at buying MPV,s with a high seat and roof. 'Just get a TESLA', For Weddings & Funerals as well. Quiet and no fumes. Maybe not get a Cremation though. Defeats the Carbon Neutral.
  11. @Graham Butcher We have all the flash stuff about up here, but maybe it takes Celts to know the price of stuff and the value of them.
  12. There is a very good reason the Wedding / Funeral / Airport Transport / Taxi drivers use Skoda Superbs, as did the Scottish First Minister. I came up behind and passed the 'New' Santa Fa yesterday. What a brick of a vehicle. I thought it was a Kia EV9 when a bit away from it. Not so tall. There used to be lots about as taxi,s in Scotland.
  13. You ask the question in a search engine, car for tall drivers or tall people. In there among the several lists is a Superb / Superb Estate and the Kodiaq, and all the big looking cars you might imagine. @Graham Butcher actually just because a car looks small does not mean there is not plenty room for a tall or large driver and passenger. Eg Toyota IQ. So as I know from usually having big cars and small ones. Get out there and get in and out them. Car Supermarkets. Do not judge a book by it's cover. And if you see a Toyota iQ for sale, maybe try getting in just to see if I am talking nonsense. Maybe try getting in or out of a MINI Countryman or a SEAT Alhambra. ............... Somebody tall could sit behind a tall passenger because no dash / glove compartment at passenger side and the seat slides forward. Or just 2 people and luggage was plenty space / room. Wide car, long doors, so parking spaces an issue for opening the doors. Disabled or Child parking handiest.
  14. It is possible to start a DQ 200 DSG in P or N. But only in N if the ambient temperature is no lower than minus 8 degrees celcius. (Foot on Brake pedal. Or hand. Or hand control for brakes if disabled maybe. ). PS. The way to find out if you can stop and switch off and leave in N ,use the parking brake. Then restart in N is just try it. It is what you might do while serving a car..
  15. 5 ft 7 or even 5ft 9" Average man and 5ft 3" women. (162.4 cm) Lots shorter, lots taller. The car manufacturers and importers will be listening to you surely. They will act accordingly. An average person is just them, all on their Jack Jones. Like many a rep in a big car or a commercial driver or driving a company car.. There is loads of choices, just get what suits. If Big or Tall get the right motor car. Be it families or just drivers, they are buying or leasing what they are wanting. There are ones that are in the top 10 that can be had as ICE or BEV and just BEV. Not big cars, city / medium sized.
  16. Mentioning you are in Australia is good just for the nosy like me. Then saying what it is, i checked so a vRS Wagon, is that a TSI rather than a TDI?
  17. Welcome. Have you listened along with the passengers with the windows open? Have you checked or adjusted the tyre pressures?. (& reset the TPMS) So what engine and gearbox has your car? What age and miles has it done? EDIT. i see a 2016, but had to look at the profile. Have you checked where the Pollen Filter is, then looked to see there is one, and it is clean? ? Are there flaps at the rear of the boot that allow pressure to release when the doors are closed? Maybe sealed up by someone because they had water in the boot.
  18. As warm as parts of the UK are now it is nothing like it is in Slovenia or Croatia. All Seasons might well feel a bit less stable when the roads and tyres at at pretty high temps. Location location location can make a difference, and if you make an allowance for what the car is wearing. It also makes a difference to the cost of tyres in the EU or non EU.
  19. Tesla have not done ones yet that are not looking like a Tesla. It is the likes of the BYD, Xpeng, Omoda /Jaecoo, Skywell, Seres and others that need the badge read in many cases. PS There are families that are loan parents, or young families as in the children are young. Family cars for hard working families with the need for just small cars. Cheaper and not something the weight of an elephant. Little people do exist. Diddy men and Diddy women with Diddy children. .
  20. Just get a Spare Steel with a 195/55 R 16 tyre then since you have that on the car and that fits in the spare tyre well. Or get an allow with that tyre. Even buy a tyre that matches those on the car. Run at the same pressure, but remember if brand new / green to run it in a bit, it still has release agent on it maybe. Or buy a used one. As long as tyre is OK. 185/60 R 15 was the size of spare from Skoda in Mk2 Fabia. You could get a 205/40 R 17 in or a 215/ 40 R 17.
  21. @Graham Butcher What are you talking about, there are no wall mounted chargers on motorways or roads as cars are driving about? If in a car park/ charging hub it is easier to spot what a car is by the badges. Many with a Cherished / Personal plate do not have a Green Flash on their plate though.
  22. @Edinburgh Park, near South Gyle. 2 Airborne Place. 70 pence a kWh. 7 / 11 AC. 4-5 Lochside way. 7 kW 50 pence. South Gyle Broadway. evyve 184 kW, 77 pence. EH12 8NF, Charge Place Scotland. 7 kW. Free. Many more chargers around and about now. MGF etc.
  23. If it was not for Green Flash registration plated there are so many cars I would have no idea were BEV,s. BMW,s but BYD,s now and SUV,s in Black the I still can not see which manufacturer they are from.
