  1. I seriously am thinking that i will get a Dacia Spring on lease as a daily / local driving (Home charging) & buy a camper / day van for longer journeys / trips. A V6 maybe. Such as..
  2. If generally the Micra ranged from £12,995 then how much was the cheapest ones if the AVERAGE is just below that and the moat expensive ones more than double that? Was it £12,000?? There must have been lots of very very very low priced ones being sold, and very very few of the expensive ones.
  3. So you are in the EU. How would someone know unless you tell them.
  4. Depreciation is terrible, if someone went in with £30,000 a bought and owned the car. Some will have, and might then want to sell after 3 years of maybe very cheap charging. Loads of money lost. Not if they keep 6 years or more and have cheap charging and servicing. But, it was a Lease car. Did a job, rental paid on it, tax saved if a business user. If i Bought an Electric MINI at £35,500 & now find 18 months later i could by the same for £15,000 or less that is lots of depreciation. But Motability bought it, and never paid anything like £35,500, more like £25,000. I am paying over 3 years £11,000 for driving it. plus buying electric. Maybe at 3 years old the supplying dealer or some other will buy it for £10,000 & advertise at £12,500. Or that was how it was but maybe not as things are now. I hope in 22 months to get the one i have for £11,000, or one to the same spec, fully loaded. To get a Petrol Cooper S 3 years old i will have to pay maybe £12,000 on a car that was £26,000 new.
  5. There are not 2 services. The 'Inspection' is a red herring. A false item. It could have showed as Oil Filter @ 1 year and Oil & Inspection Service at 2nd year. Fixed Servicing regime. But someone never set the service indicator properly. Variable / Flexible or as was Major Service as in first service at 2 years / 18,000-20,000 miles should be the Oil & filter and reset of the stuff. The DQ400-e DSG Service is due at 40,000 miles.
  6. @defsix Is that because you are in the same country as where you sent it? Someone in the UK would be sending to another country.
  7. I received the Health Check report and faults to Approve payment of, which are free as under warranty. The TPMS warning light as stored faults we knew about. No sensors in my wheels. But if they were going to be put in so not a MOT Failure by them. £1,348.03. (Original wheels with sensons will be back on for the MOT.) Fault stored defrost flap motor. Requires investigation. Result. Defrost flap desired position failed. Internal stiff / blockage. Requires new heating and air conditioning unit, air con gas, 2 flapsand associated gasket and bolts etc, £2,040 Drivers side was rubbish demisting right from i got the car, i just assumed it was crap and engineered to suit left hand drive cars. So must be faulty right from the factory. No wonder that it is known as a common fault on line / on forums.
  8. This type of cordless rechargeable inflator is very handy to have in a car or camping gear. It holds a charge for a long time or charged from a usb quick enough.
  9. 'Luckily it's on lease, so it will go back'. As it always has been from the day it was ordered and specced up and a load of money put up front. Yet the song and dance continues. Get shot of it, if it was not such a good little earner.
  10. My car booked on for 2 days next week. An issue showing up with the heater supposedly.. no mention of battery and any recall actions on that.. so I will believe what I am told. Do I want an Aceman or Countryman courtesy car? No I do not. Horrible uncomfy things..
  11. KFC and McDonald's do keep theit nearby litter collected. But this is a council parking hub at council buildings and near by. Ladies and gents that are Friends of the Loch tidy up, hang bird feeders etc. Maybe if they did not the Council might actually have to put someone on the job. Oddly the various departments employees with EV,s charge there but are selectively Tommy. Deaf dumb and blind. Like they were in the Scottish Government over charging hubs. Toilets etc.
  12. @lol-lol I have this MINI Cooper E for the day while my one gets brake pads at 18 months / 20,000 miles. Not from use but lack of use. Happy with this one rather than a SE or even a JCW electric or petrol. Far nicer back road nippy car.
  13. @Graham Butcher actually not ok and you can sit watching while charging and birds will pull stuff out. The bins are often set on fire as well so replaced often with just another single one. I have asked why not a lidded bin, cleansing managers reply is people do not use those. Well this one gets rammed full, overflows during a weekend and rubbish and scraps all around. And rats. Which is why the dog likes being here to check them out as well as chasing birds. Vorsprung Durch Technik, not with this council. Others can do it better. PS. As at fast food places there can be bins that you throw stuff towards the big opening and birds can not get in. Like a big trumbone / euphonium opening. With large capacity . Much cheapness. We have 3 Wheely bins per house. Public places a Wheely bin or 3 padlocked to a post. Square hole cut in lid. Like at some lay-bys.
  14. What a monster of a car and in Satin black. The m135 x-drive in satin grey i would have shiny black spoiler and all. Gloss black less like a Batmobile.
  15. Public EV charging hub and car park and near KFC, and McD. Issue is arses at the council and the wrong bins. Ones birds can just pull stuff out of. Crap mobile reception area as well. Not good with EV charging.
  16. Standard / Factory / OEM Fabia Mk2 vRS Front discs and rears were not good if taking to the track. Would overheat and disable the XDS. But then standard or remapped on the road and driving quicker did not necessary mean that you had to use your brakes lots on 60 mph NSL roads. Or that the brakes were inadequate to proceed quickly and safely 'officer'. (Spirited driving and not always on the brakes.) ..................... SEAT Ibiza Cupra 2013 when they got the CTHE Engine had a Front Brake upgrade option. The Fabia, Polo & A1 Twinchargers never got this.

Welcome. Those a rather different vehicles you are thinking on getting. Will it be a petrol or a diesel or are you up for just whatever?
  18. Nosy but, who supplied & handed over the car or did the PDI on it.? Yes get both at the same time. At the Oil & Inspection service. Someone made the mistake at the PDI or last service not to have them set to be at the same time. There is no just an 'Inspection'. There are Oil & Inspection services. ? Should the 1.5TSI PHEV not be only on 'Fixed OIl Service Regimes' as the 1.4 TSI PHEV,s were. 9,400 miles / 372 days. ? Yours must be on Variable / Flexible. 18,000 - 20,000 24 months.. The reason for Fixed Oil and filter changes was that maybe the engine was not fired up much if doing lots of running on charges. You mileage and engine used is probably high enough, or VW Group / Skoda have changed the Schedules. I bet the Dealership that handed over the car have no price for just an 'Inspection'. Make sure they do a Body condition inspection at the Service. Skoda / VW are the ones that say if ever a Corrosion Warranty claim that no record of being done. Not that the T&C,s says that they should be. But their bumf says included.
  19. 'Dash warning' came up. That can be Yellow oil can light or Red oil can light (Symbol) or actual words on the screen. Low oil warning check, or Low oil pressure. Vehicle / age, dependent.
  20. @ApertureS not far away. Hope all is well.
  21. Global parts from VW group so it might be interesting how many others have had failures. I had to look to see you are showing Israel as a location. Maybe weather, ambient temperatures can be relevant. But then plenty hot locations around the world including South East UK just now.
  22. Skoda only started using the 0w 20 FS IV before the WLTP Certification so i knew the 67 plate would not be using that, and it is not to back dated. Then not all TDI,s after the WLTP came in are using VW 508 00 / 509 00, Some are still old spec and Dealers and Owners might be using 0w 30 FS III. That under bonnet sticker with VW 508 00 showing will be on a TSI i guess, not a TDI, that is VW 509 00.
  23. Any Brand to the correct spec. So no matter if Castrol, Quantum, Mobile, Tesco. Asda or Comma, Shell. etc etc. VW 504 00 / 507 00. (the 507 00 bit because a TDI) 5W 30 FS III (That is long life oil no matter if Fixed or Variable Servicing.) You could use 0w 30 FS III but best just stick with the same as is likely left in now. ****Not VW 508 00 / 509 00, 0w 20 FS IV for your engine.**** Once enough oil in when done cold, you want to check at Normal operating temperature. Not just after ticking over for 5 minutes. Once up to an indicated 90*oC or so.
  24. Not likely to be a location thing. Who did the warranty work, HAWCO? What is the technician saying, they work on them at least 5 days a week.
  25. Welcome. The issues requiring a Service Campaign were on DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG 2013-2015, before this Mk3 Models. (Not started to 2017 as a service campaign.) The car you are looking at has been on the road for 10 years since those and doing low annual mileage. So if it drives fine then good. Is there a good Service History, annual Oil & Filter changes (Engine), brake fluid changed a couple of times, spark plugs changed? There is no issues that i see with the MOT,s. No idea of the price, but car looks pretty good. So tyres, wipers, brake discs, windcreen, do they look good, not needing replaced.
