  1. ^^^ Only with the 1.4 or 1.5 TSI ACT petrols, not a 2.0 TSI. Those with the same might know if the 2.0 TDI is actually in 'Coasting' when ECO shows. Drive disengaged.
  2. I can give an idea what Skoda used to do or say they did, and what things are now. ? What engine is it. Oil & Filter changes every year. 9,400 miles. Air Filter, Pollen Filter when needed, Brake Fluid changed maybe every 2 years. Check, inspect, when ever, do what you think needs doing. This Green Chart is approx. More recent terms for services.
  3. If VW could actually get built and sold what they keep spinning stories about then they might get on better with meeting the reduced emissions. As it is VW gets what VW wants when it comes to the EU. If you can not meet new legislation requirements it can be put back.
  4. Must have been a hit on something unless there was something loose from the factory. Or the tyre fitter jacked the car up using the wrong place is a possibility.
  5. @J.R. you do if you read the title of the thread. '1.4TDI' made it a diesel.
  6. Are the Wheels and Tyres that were fitted the same size, width / offset etc as the OEM. Or narrower tyres with more sidewall and smaller rims? I take it set at the correct pressures as well.
  7. Do you know anything about the DPF, regens etc. Has the ash / soot level been checked? ? What repair did the injectors require? Did you suspect the car had been mis-fueled at some time? How many miles has it done and have you had it from new, or for how long? ? Are you putting in some additive or injection cleaner?
  8. @Nimby Very much Engine and DSG dependent and also the different years of production for even ones with the same engines and DSG,s.
  9. @Scotjimland That is no Replacement Schedule then. Loose words from them, 'Service'. Somehow these muppets think Oil changes are Servicing. Not just Oil & Filter Services. Inspections of belts is all about Servicing & Maintenance and schedules. They like money for old rope. Too damn lazy to even open an Air Filter box some places if not 6 years old, 60,000 miles. This chart is Fixed Servicing and even when first published was not accurate or covering all vehicles, or stuff like DSG,s. 0, 40,000 or 80,000 miles schedules. Cam Belts were only the advice / guidelines for the UK. etc.
  10. Was it not centred from New? It should have been reported then and corrected by them. There was no need to pay because you had a warranty and the car was not correct. As it is if you left it until the car was due a service they managed to get away with taking the pith.
  11. @Scotjimland So no Service Interval. But they have Guidelines, Recommendations, suggestions if not a spec or schedule. Those involve 'Inspections' , well sometimes they do when they bother to talk to those that know. ie. Not others in the Customer Services that just repeat stuff.
  12. @RobL50 When your car is fully charged and showing 29 miles range can you actually go 29 miles just in EV mode? @santr The 1.4 TSI PHEV engine oil changes are Fixed Regime, so yearly / Under 16,000 km. The DSG Servicing is every 64,000 km.
  13. ? What engine does your car have, a 1.5 TSI ACT or something else?
  14. Welcome to the forum. Had the car been one that was part of the Recall for Lack of Torque so given the Software Update previously.? ? Had the car / engine had the Cam Belt replaced before you got it? Maybe not required, but if done easily messed up. ? Is it a 1.5 TSI ACT, and is it a DSG rather than a manual? If a DSG what gear was it in when the Dyno runs were being done? ??? What was the car running & what is it running now remapped. Unleaded 95 ron, or Super Unleaded 97,98,99, 100 or 100+?
  15. They have not come under any attack that we are aware of so that were successful. Maybe a matter of time until there are Cyber Attacks by terrorists that have no interest in the money just the collapse of the economy in the UK. The UK is a bit of a war monger and poodle of the USA and very vulnerable to breaks in supplies of anything including communications. No point attacking the sewage system as that can be messed up simply by the operators...
  16. Highland Council Chargers. 45 Mins max on Rapids, 70 pence a kWh then £1 a minute. Over 60 minutes and then a £30 penalty.
  17. Perthshire is Big Tree Country. No not all 50 Mins max charging time. Some are 60 or 70 Minutes on Rapids. Some still no time limit but maybe that will be almost over with from April. I have 2 cards now & 2 accounts & am locked out of both. Cards work but it is a regular hassle that when signing in the Email Address and Password come up as not matching and getting then reset a passing back and fore with a Cut and Paste that does not work. Now i use the card and then just look at how much they are going to Debit when the time comes. I can not check the invoice. PITA.
  18. I am amazed that Oil / Fuel pipelines to refineries and from refineries have not been attacked in the UK in any major way that we have been made aware of. I see the GPS on an aircraft that Grant Shapps MP was on was disabled for a while. If it he was affected by that as in the plane / pilot was left thinking which way do i go then Grant will know what guff GPS or Sat Nav can be like. Maybe in his own plane or his TESLA he has never been lost, well other than when filling out Tax Forms and thinking where his plane is registered and maintained.
  19. Part of the M25 this weekend as well no matter what you drive. Maybe chaos for some EV drivers for charging.. I will lose no sleep over it, just as i do not over the USA and EV charging.. What bothers me is Climate Change and why because Scotland has 1/3rd of the UK land mass is Scotland paying more to get to Net Zero and for measures to reduce pollution. (Not really, i pay very very little in tax to the treasury.) I am just going on about it like all those Pre Petrol / Diesel members with too much time. http://bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj7vz8vjgrno That is while the Westminster Government seems to not really give a damn about reducing pollution and try making out it is others than the Conservatives & Unionists with a war on motorists. High time there was a war on motorists who think 'I am alright Jack with what ever i drive, but not because i am poor, but because i have loads of money and fuel consumption, congestion charges, parking charges make no difference to me'.
  20. If the DSG is a DQ200 which it is with a 1.5 TSI ACT then there is no servicing at 40,000 or 80,000 miles as the chart posted shows. That is if FWD, 250 Nm or less. 180 ps or less. The car in question is 150 ps.
  21. Manned / Womanned filling stations are fantastic, like manned / wommanded railway stations and ticket offices. Times move on. 24 hour no staffed Fuel pumps are nice as well. .......... There are many many issues with EV / Electrified vehicles and charging in the UK. Luckily there are Smart People identifying these and in cases addressing them. The Mobile Phone network in the UK and very much in Scotland is an issue with EV chargers and communications. Even getting reception to call Charge Place Scotland to try to get in touch and get them to start a charger. Even if you can they say 'old charger and they can not start remotely'. They often say that. PS Power cuts, card reader cuts at Filling stations is a right hassle. They happen, as they do in shops, or today in McDonalds. Just wait until a cyber attack takes down systems, including the National Grid. People will get on their bike, scooter, horse / pony. elephant or maybe ass. Or walk.
  22. EV charging @ Falkirk Football Stadium / Helix park, where the Kelpies are if wanting to go to Edinburgh via there.
  23. The United States of America is a big place. There will be differences in the various states, area, regions. Just as in areas of the UK, or in Europe. As to New York. Plenty videos on charging there. Some with totally different outcomes, opinions.
