  1. ^^^ Great efficiency @lol-lol I have just done 50 miles of short trips of under 2 miles with AC on and heating turned up and windows a little down to try and keep interior dry. MINI was charged to 100% when zeroed on Sunday morning and now at 63% and showing 48 miles range. OK while getting 50 miles @ 21 pence a kWh and being warm, so lets say 12 kWh to recharge so £2.52, and if i was using the Council Rapid chargers @ 41 pence a kWh that would be £4.92.
  2. Was it HAWCO Inverness?
  3. OK. I only know of them as have a Tiptronic automatic at that age, and they had no oil change interval showing for many years until at around 80,000 miles plus people asked about changing the oil.
  4. A 2.0 TSI or TDI will not come with a 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG with no Servicing / Oil Changes, so if a 7 Speed Wet Clutch DSG & it is a DQ381 the Oil changes (& filter even though VW say no filter) is at 80,000 miles. But anyone might not want to leave it till that many miles.
  5. Simply @kodiaqsportlineYou word things your way and i will post my way. If anyone is looking at a TSI with a cambelt first registered before June 2018 and the Cam Belt was not replaced by July 2023 then it was not being Serviced / Maintained to the Recommendations, Guidelines or Spec that Skoda / VW UK showed as required. But then there were plenty Approved Used Skoda with FMDSH that might have a Full Service History but showing what was not done as much as what was maybe. PS Any old bucket of crap used car / Ex Demonstrator, / Taxi / Car lent out during Covid can be refurbished to be an immaculate showroom condition car. A lovely new interior if it was maybe flood damaged. As for a new set of Discs and Pads fitted and refurbished wheels, that is not expensive, dead cheap actually and any Kerb Side Auto,s can Joey a car up that way. Shine the tyres, Man / Woman in a van Detailing or blow in some paint work that comes off if power washed.
  6. The thing was up till 2011 there were still cars coming with a Oil Change Service Code for 1 year / 12 months. (The CITIGO always has been.) So the first service / Oil Change was at 1 year. They called it Minor, the 2nd a Major. On Variable the first Oil Change Service could be at 2 years, 18,000-20,000 miles and it got called a Major, but nothing major about it, it was the Same a 1 year Service but with a Pollen Filter. The Skoda Offer, Fixed Price Servicing Minor / Interim & Major was cars 3-10 years old. The MAJOR service as Dealerships called the First Service should never have been the same price as a MAJOR Service @ 4 years. The 2nd Service a car might get. But then UK cars get a 3 year Warranty and a MOT at 3 years. EU ones maybe a 2 year warranty. People were ripped off if they ever paid a Major Service price on a 2 year old car at a Skoda UK main dealer. They thrive on confusion of Customers on what is a Basic Oil Service and a look see and report, and the Diagnostics, and the maybe roadtest, and the report. The Health Check, Brake Inspection, and supposedly wheels removed. The very expensive Free Wash, maybe a vacuum, which takes longer than the service. The wash if there is one should be before the Body Inspection. The one often not done as not on the Work Sheet.
  7. They were not standard or an option for his car were they. The colour used on the R5 Tribute though.
  8. Welcome. Sorry no idea, but for others to maybe help, is it a 1.6 Petrol with a Tiptronic gearbox? What is the issue with it and did it ever get a ATF change?
  9. Global sales were poor no matter how it was spun and at about 850,000 when there had to be promotions to get more bought and numbers about how many delivered, but Skoda / VW were first registering them to sell as 'Used'. They did reach producing over 1 Million. There were those that bought more than one and enthusiasts, motoring journalist enthusiasts who true to form do not use their own money and buy one. There were countries where they were more popular and could have kept on being built and sold. Maybe Russia. Then maybe the Chinese versions could have been offered in other world regions. People should look after them, renovate rough ones like Land Rover Defenders are being upgraded these days and the demand and value might be there in a decade or 3. http://goodcarbadcar.net/skoda-yeti-sales-figure
  10. Maybe the latest Pothole claim thread on here. Loads more over the years. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/512714-pothole-damage-claim-compensation
  11. Take Care with Cetane Boosters / Improvers. 'Just say no!'.
  12. Or is it just the colour for these black wheels?
  13. Can the Body Shop / Paint Supplier not 'Scan' / Check the paint colour and match / mix it. I do not recognise the Code 8CS. Is that what is on the back side of the wheel beside the Spec of the wheel? @CarlstonCan maybe help you with info. Is this what you are wanting, The Skoda Green , R5 Fabia rally car colour? There are members that had Fabia Mk2,s painted or Powder Coded in this colour.
  14. The Cornering Fog Lights were / are Sh!te. Cornering Headlights a different thing if one or other FOG light is not used. The Most ridiculous thing i first spotted and then read about was in the Yeti Section. Activating the Front Fog Lights to Automatically come on as you selected reverse. Then it caught on, And cornering Front Fogs as you reverse. Total Plonkers pull up roadside and reverse into a drive putting Front Fogs on regardless of who is coming towards them. If the Needed Front Fogs on to reverse they obviously could press the button and turn on the Front Fogs. Turn on the rear as well if extra lighting is needed.
  15. Were any of those a TSI? The plugs can be good for 60,000 plus years, but sadly there are 1.2 TSI,s that they are not good for 4 years, same with 1.0 TSi,s. I am just surprised there was no Engine Light / Exhaust Emissions, or EPC or even both, but those were maybe not far away. ? Were you shown the spark plugs that were removed? ? Did you not consider looking at the spark plugs when doing look arounds and when might they have been getting changed since the car is 7 years old and only done 20,000 miles? Maybe at this upcoming service.
  16. I am just mentioning your spark plugs because you did, and good they were free. Personally i think while the cover was off, the ignition coils were removed, the plugs changed and everything was put back there was a breather pipe re-attached that had become detached. But i only say that, because i do not believe the spark plugs were the issue. But they were overdue replacing,
  17. Until July 2023 the Cam Belt / Tensioner recommendation from VW Group / Skoda in Dust Free UK was different from other Dust Free countries and 5 years / 50,000 miles. That is not as it is now.
  18. That just shows then why many are not keen on low mileage cars. If the Plugs were overdue replacement that is why it is at 4 years / 40,000 miles. What was called a 2nd Major Service but really a first Major because at 2 years old that is not and was not a MAJOR Service. Now Air Filters at 6 years. They should be inspected at every service. IMO. The old days, 2019 and earlier.
  19. Good that it did not cost you for the spark plugs, ? How many miles has your car done? Had the Spark plugs been replaces as per Guidelines / Recommendation / Schedule in 2021 / 40,000 miles?
  20. It will / must include VAT. ? How much is the On-Line Booking prices you see. Ask the Service Desk so that you know. An Oil & Inspection Service does not include parts other than the Oil & Filter / sump plug. Neither does the Extended Scope part. Maybe the top up fluids, if they were actually doing topping up.... Not the Pollen Filter, or an Air Filter, Or Spark Plugs or a Diesel Filter. Neither is a Brake Fluid Change included. Is the Haldex Service at the main dealers being done correctly, remove / clean pump / screen.???? Example prices in bottom chart maybe out of date for 20024.
  21. What is 'Petrol flat' is it a typo? Is this about a 2.0 TSI.
  22. People were being just as conned up to 2020 when the Service Regime changed in 2020 & Skoda moved stuff. The Fixed Price Minor / Interim & Major Servicing had customer think a fixed price had stuff done. @ the First Major Service you were paying a price that would include Spark Plugs, or Diesel Filter. & Air Filter yet toy never got those changed at 2 years only at the SECOND Major Service. 4 years / 40,000 miles. You might of got the Pollen Filter at the 1st and 2nd major service. The Technician / Fitter decided. Now you pay. The one year the £99 oil service was offered was good, that was an Interim OIl Change and a free Brake and Safety check should have been done then. The Body Inspection @ Major Services was & is for the Corrosion & Paint Warranty and is shown, but often not done, not logged, Skoda knows it should be done and who never did it when they say, 'No record of a body inspection', There are no T&C,s about Annual, Bi-Annual or Periodic Body Inspections for the warranty anyway. Back in the Service Books up to 2011 or so the Body Inspection Page was after the SERVICE check page.
  23. Some people need special lighting and stuff others as long as they seen on the dark side of the moon while others get about fine without Special Needs Lighting. If they think back their mother maybe warned them what would happen to their eyesight.
  24. Everyone that lives and drives where that pothole would need to be reporting it and other potholes and then the Local Authority would need to have their Department or contractor doing the inspections and maybe arrangements to take action. I see no Marking of the area awaiting repair. There is the other surface repairs or work from what was done & it is on the edge of it. Adverse / Winter weather and you get potholes, especially in lovely scenic areas, country roads, touristy places. Awkward positions where road works cause complaints. @JmageeHave you gone on the Pothole websites and seen if others have bee reporting that pot hole. Have you reported it by now of flagged it on the Pothole websites?
  25. They do trial this sh!t. Plymouth & Dundee and Dundee has Frosts, Ice and even rain sometimes. They never all came up the Tay on a paddle board.
