  1. @J.R. In Winter Tyres you are setting a Max Speed Limit Warning that you want, + or - MPH or KMPH. You have the other Speed Warning that you can set as well. In some countries you need that or the sticker for you or other drivers showing the Winter Tyre Max Limit.
  2. This was in July 2022 & the threads / post were in the General Automotive Chat section & elsewhere. http://insideevs.com/news/600575/volkswagen-group-fired-diess-because-software-unit-fiasco http://theregister.com/2022/07/26/from_beetles_to_bugs_vw http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/500169-skoda-ceo-thomas-schafer-is-off-to-pastures-new-within-the-vw-group-the-boss
  3. No not @ 40,000 miles. Do the 20,000 & 40,000 with filter or more sensibly @ 20,000 miles on older cars, so 2nd Generation Haldex. Then Skoda was doing @ 4 years / 40,000 miles still on newer generation Haldex when VW were at 30,000 miles, then 30,000 or 3 years. Skoda took a year or more before they got up to date, and still til this time will change oil and not do a clean out or filter.
  4. @RockedITWelcome to the forum. The Service Record is what most people want, so what does it shows as having been done & to schedule / recommendations / guidelines.. Full Service History, Oil Services, Brake Fluid, Pollen & Air Filters, VAQ diff etc?
  5. Some say they can not, and some VW Dealers say they will not service a Skoda. A Dundee one did with me. I asked are you part of a cartel & do you want to tell that to the press and media. As it is your car is out of Warranty, get what you want done. If it needs spark plugs then get them changed. Look at the pollen filter, then change it. Same with the Air Filter. If your brakes need serviced, brake fluid changed then get it done. The Service History of the past counts for little. The Citigo needs not much doing.
  6. Yes it is a DQ200 DSG and there is no servicing regime, oil changes for these. A 1.5 TSI ACT, FWD and no more than 192 PS, (150ps in a Skoda) and no more then 250 Nm. It is not sealed for life because both oils can be changed in the box and in the MCU. But there is no need to change them.
  7. Welcome to the forum. There are forum sponsors in the Insurance section. Is it the same story with the different comparison sites, double the premium for your car at the new postcode? Is it really that dodgy an area?
  8. If you reset it yourself then most likely on Fixed Service regimes then. Hopefully at the right level now then the light will not come on. No harm in having the oil in the top cross hatch area & not above when the oil is hot.
  9. You are looking at the Filter info for what you showed with the Code on the Box. So all well there. ? So was it 2.8 litres you put in from a Oil drain and Oil filter replacement? **YOUR ENGINE SINCE NOT THE 44kW 1.2 DOES GET CHECKED AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMP, NOT AS SKODA SAY 'WARM', AS VW SAY. 'HOT' or NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE.** The Yellow Low Oil warning has nothing to do with the Oil Services interval / regime or state of the Oil. ............... Different subjuct though, Is the service indicator reset and do you have it on fixed or variable, 9,400 miles / 372 days. or 24 months>
  10. @Suhail Maybe start by saying what engine your Octavia has so that we know what DSG you have. Is it a 1.6 TDI or a 1.2, 1.4 or a 1.8 TSI Petrol with a DQ200 DSG. Or a 2.0 TDI or TSI with a DQ250 DSG? ? What is wrong with DSG or the MCU?
  11. @geochrGood you use the new seal. Are you certain the old one is not still fitted? & Aha, there is your first possible issue. Assuming the correct filter came from Dingbro. Put up the code on it, someone will know the correct filter. That is why i get mine at D&A Motor Factors.
  12. @Carlstonso now you have the PQ24 & PQ25 Platform Scores on the doors, what 17" wheel width were they using 2010-2014? What wheels did the Skoda Rapid get in the were 17" tyres?
  13. What was the Oil level before you changed it, was it in Area A of the Dipstick when at operating temperature? How much oil did you drain and how much have you filled it with. Is the level in the Area A when at operating temperature so above 80*oC when parked on the flat and stopped for a few minutes? EDIT. Sorry, my bad. Your engines oil capacity is not much if 2.8 Litres, and gets checked cold. Not at Operating Temperature. Is it 5w 30 FS III oil you used, so VW504 00 ? ? Are you sure the correct filter is used and the old seals removed? If you get a Low Oil Yellow can light, or message and open the bonnet it stays off for about 60 miles even if you never topped up the oil.
  14. Audi A1 185 ps Euro 5 from 2010 used 215/40 R 17 as the sister cars with the same engines / gearboxes did, VW Polo GTI & Seat Ibiza Cupra. The Fabia vRS twincharger got 205/40 R 17s'. There were even A1's on 225/35 R 18. Then Mk3 Fabia got 215/40 R 17 tyres as one of the choices. An A1 kerb weight is a different weight from a Kamiq. Audi 1,090 to 1,165 kg. Kamiq 1,229 to 1,302 kg.
  15. So EU so French. They abide by the law while burning livestock on roads and in all circumstances. There are type approved tyres / wheels etc. But no type approval that requires the Tyre sizes and pressures on a chart on the tyre flap. So tyre fitters and testers and examiners need another way of checking the Approved tyre / wheels for the particular vehicle. In the UK luckily you can declare modifications and this is really necessary because Emergency Vehicles, Mountain Rescue, 4x4 recovery etc are often not running factory size tyres / wheels or as Type Approved on any Certificate of Conformity. Even Skoda Yeti used by the Coast Guard, Mine Rescue etc. http://skoda.co.uk/owners/vehicle-import-export http://eurococ.eu/en/certificate-of-conformity-skoda
  16. @lol-lol I thought i best go check them out again. The model i could get for 'Much cheapness' is not the one i tried sitting in. It is a corker of an offer. Sitting at the rear. Gold trim. Not to my taste. *Or pop out handles.* Anyway just to tight a fit. The seat does not go low enough or far enough back and the pedals are no use for me driving with my left foot. I far preferred the Zoe and the only problem is no seat height adjustment and again i would need adapted pedals which i never have done as i like a car to just fit. Waiting list not long on these, but it is much more on Capture PHEV's. They have no heated seats or steering wheel.
  17. @SkodaTish the point was kind of for anyone that might be considering a Enayq leased from Motability or interested in the Motability Scheme cars having read @Warkman's post. They are quite expensive to lease even when saving on buying liquid fuel. PS I went to check out again a Megane EV as a very good price with Motability for a 60 kWh battery. As i thought when i drove one before, sadly far too cramped for me driving compared to an Enyaq.
  18. @lol-lolMotability have added the e-Tech Mégane EV60 to their list. It is the lowest advance payment EV with a bigger battery at £1,295. Then there is a £750 contribution for anyone ordering one when there current car is going back. Tempting but there were too many things I did not like and I would need to put on All Weather tyres and wind deflectors so I will be giving this a miss. The low advance must mean Renault are doing a great deal for Motability Finance or they recon the residues will be good in 3 years.
  19. £3,999-£5,299 advance payment for an Enyaq from Motability this quarter then at least £12,000 over the next 3 years lease is quite a lot and yes you save on fuel if you have home charging and cheap tariff. But £16,000 over 3 year near £14.60 a day to have that EV sitting at your house. (That is the insurance, VED & servicing covered.) A Renault Megane e-Tech EV60 160kW Iconic 60kWh Optimum Charge 5 door is £1,295 Advance Payment & a 'Techno' is £2,495. A Skoda Karoq Auto Starts @ 1,795 Advance Payment. A Skoda Kodiaq Auto @2,995 Advance payment. A Seat Ateca Auto starts @ £1,249 Advance Payment. A VW Taigo auto £799 A VW T-Cross auto £1,099 A VW T-Roc auto £1,649 A VW Tiguan £1,699 PS Many with cars already from Motability and ordering a new one will get a £750 contribution which can be paid direct to the Dealership towards the Advance Payment.
  20. @Mike_Enyaq80Welcome. This is a Briskoda member with yet another excellent video, posted 5 months ago.
  21. With Arnold Clark Trustpilot reviews get their attention will seniors attention. Social Media / Forums etc can draw their attention. But for now just use your consumer rights. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/507133-cazoo-bother
  22. It may be similar because these cars do not have Autohold you have to manually switch the e-brake on when stopping at lights, junctions etc. Auto release. If stopping there is a P button. And if you stop you can select P or Switch off and it goes to P automatically. and engaged the e-brake if you open the drivers door. These light up with the Keyless entry and sometimes look like they are illuminated and sometimes not if you approach the locked car without having a key with you. Charging fine now. Somehow the charger I was at at the hospital is a CPS next to NHS only but even when I had CPS start it remotely I got no charging from it. Never found out the issue there. Loads of NHS e-208 and Corsa,s and others use them. Just called and extended the lease on this for 2 years flexible but I can order a new car from the 10th May or anytime up to 10th August 2025. Or hand back 10th August this year.
  23. Happy as Larry. Actually pleased to get the car back. Valeted. It was Park lock finger acctuator replaced. Also drop links replaced. Car drives great. There are a few changes on the information and car settings I need to check. It is on a 7kW public charger now but not showing a charging speed in the car but it is on the phone. I will see when I get back and start a charge again. Drive great and finally no knocking. Tighter steering in Sport. For now I will extend the warranty until maybe something I fancy becomes available. If there are any problems it will go back in August. Mot will be done in June or July when Motability ask it to be done.
