Skoda Kodiak slurping noise from exhaust pipe
Welcome. A mod can move the thread. Looks like plenty condensation coming out, but maybe plenty H20 pooling in the silencer. (Is it cold down in London??) It could be mistaken for running on hydrogen and the only emissions being water. But looking at the tail pipe maybe it runs pretty rich. Best see a mechanic or if needs must a technician / fitter at a dealership. I would avoid the later.

Man-Made Climate Change: The Need for Immediate Action
A wells a well a river is a river, if you fall in you'll make it bigger. From my childhood. Rivers are pretty low but the Pumped Hydro will used likely tonight. The Electricity providers all get a wee shoty. The Nuclear in Scotland that can power 3/4 of all homes in Scotland might even be going across the channel if it is not going to just England just now.

Man-Made Climate Change: The Need for Immediate Action
When we are talking about the energy / electricity in the UK on the day, week or when ever it is worth IMO looking at by region. It is a location location location thing. Scorchio today where i am and just a light breeze. The turbines i passed at several wind farm sites were all turning this morning. http://electricityproduction.uk/in/scotland Under 6 million of a population. http://electricityproduction.uk/in/london Over 8 million of a population.

Man-Made Climate Change: The Need for Immediate Action
@EnterName I am not even bi-curious about you. But since you seem to put everyone into some pigeon hole or another and like calling people what ever i just wondered what you are, or think you are. Your posts are mostly to wind up i think, but are you extreme right or just extremely non tollerant? PS. Sorry as i just scanned the first reply to me. I do not read much of the nonsense you post which i see you think is picking peoples posts to bits.

New Renault 5 EV
I was on my way to Aberdeen to roadtest an Alpine A290. When I was in a Renault 5 I was not wearing my leg and had got to it driving a BMW. So I stopped to try and 5EV on the way up the road and after getting straight out of the MINI. Glad I did as with the standard pedals I can not drive using my left foot. The seating is just too high, upright and hard. Door entrance dead tight.

Gearbox in emergency mode
I knew where it was for your first dark quote, i was asking when really i should have just said. That was not a thread about DQ381,s. As to about your servicing. You could have linked the thread very easily. I went to it looked at it an waited, you obliged. Please do not try being snide because really it is not important. Just help members and do not try being the one that says all is well, because all is well for maybe the majority the big percentage. Those getting a lemon and a couple of grand bill are the ones needing assustance.

Petrol Engine Particulate Filter
People had the light come on during the Covid years on pretty new cars. Cold starts and short journeys. Or they just had odd behaviours, the high idle annoyed many. From 2018 to now is about right to find out if GPF,s will have issues. We will find out what many dealers say replacements will cost. People are in different countries and weathers and using E5 or maybe E10, maybe 95 or 97 or 99 ron. Some countries are maybe 98 ron Super unleaded E5. It will be become more apparent as time goes on if GPF,s are to become another expense people really could do without getting the Light off, or the GPF replaced. PS. @Suomen_Skoda I had to look at your profile to see based in Finland. Do you run E5 95 Ron petrol and is your Winter Grade different from the Winter Grade in the UK Oct/Nov to March?

Man-Made Climate Change: The Need for Immediate Action
@EnterName Perfect. But it is you or others deciding what you think people are. We have no idea what or who you are. You seem very occupied on issues of colour or immigrants. What are you? What are your leanings?

Gearbox in emergency mode
@EnterName I would be very interested if you find where i said ' can not remember saying something'. If i did it was really 'I did not say something' I would not remember something that actually i never said. The reason being i have a photographic memory and can also remember everything i ever write or post, or read. I know where and when i posted stuff. I do not like where someone quotes or takes a piece of something said at one time and it it not in context. PS As far as the DQ381, 'We are not all doomed'. But people maybe want to just be aware of the Schedules for servicing and how some with a DQ381 with no issues are having issues when serviced. Or just be aware of when there were fundamental design, manufacturing or material / hardware or software issues. Keep a valid warranty maybe if you can. Fantastic thanks. I know what you posted, but for the sake of others and not needing to search your posts to find out about your servicing and cost i asked on here again. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/482244-dq381-service-intervals TPS can maybe not always be trusted, you might want to phone a friend.

Gearbox in emergency mode
They could put a 80,000 mile Warranty on them. (7 year standard unlimited km warranties in Australia now, which is lovely.) They are maybe having less failures from ones built from 2021. Who knows, the VW Group should. Sad for those with cars out of the 3 Year Manufacturers warranty, or that and an extended to 5 years with a before 2020 / 21 DQ381 DSG. There are those that have had repairs done under warranty in the past year, meaning those cars were not 2017-2019 models. As to the Servicing and not getting the filter changed at the first service be it done early or at 80,000 miles, you make your choices and pay your money. Or the Service Centre takes the money and says a filter change was not required maybe. @EnterName How much was the service on the DQ381 and was the filter changed? I see you used a quote from 2019. WAS THAT A POST TO SOMEONE ASKING ABOUT A DQ250? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/469823-dsg-oil-change-missed-at-40k-should-i-wk-away *You are a cheeky monkey IMO @EnterName That was then and this is now as you said just today. *There was a Global Recall on DQ200,s in 2012 which excluded Europe, and in 2014 in Europe a Service campaign started, then another recall in Australia and Service Campaign in 2017. & TPI,s and software and hard ware updates. So there was a reason for the reputation the DQ200 DSG. and why in some world regions a 10 year warranty / 100,000 miles was given, and in New Zealand new MCU,s were fitted in 2012.*

Man-Made Climate Change: The Need for Immediate Action
Left & Right, who is it that decides what to call others leanings, are they to the Right or Left? New Labour or the Keir Starmer Champagne Socialist take every freebie available and from what ever donors and not LEFT WING are they any more than the Tories that take every freebie available from what ever donors might be RIGHT WING, as might the CENTRE / Fence sitter Liberal Democrats or Reform UK takers. As to the Greens, well they are who knows what. Memories# Short term. Recent if anyone looks back less than a decade and bothers to open their eyes or mind. (Long term memories can be selective by Location location location and what you believed or believe.) Mining went open cast and stopped really because Coal Fired Power stations closed. Many wanted the Cumbrian Mine for Coking Coal. No idea what political party they support, but they were wanting jobs in the area.

Man-Made Climate Change: The Need for Immediate Action
@EnterName What do some or many people want in the UK, is it to open up coal mines, fracking in England, getting the oil & gas / coal gas out of the ground in England. Town Gas & Natural Gas. Scrap LEZ,s & allow vehicles with any emission levels into town / city centres without restrictions or penalties. Is it for there to be no restrictions on commercial / industrial or residential emissions. Get the coal fired power stations back up and running? Getting the National Grid fit for purpose and the Pylons up for the transmission of the available electricity to England from the RoUK will be a good start. Obviously spoiling views in England is a step too far for many.

Bought approved used car require advice on issues
Just a small point. Even when there is a Full Service History or Full Main Dealer Service History that does not mean a History of Servicing to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Guidelines, Schedule or Specifications. Showing Oil Change Service Oil & Filter Inspection Service, Extended Scope etc is just that. Items such as Pollen / Air / Fuel Filter, AC Service, Brake Fluid Change, VAQ Diff, DSG, Haldex Service Body Inspections, etc etc are Service Items and should show if done or not with a FSH or FMDSH. Gearbox in emergency mode
Failures are very much happening on cars newer than those built 5 or 6 years ago. Just look at those being posted about on Briskoda Forum and other forums. Nearly new vehicles with a DQ381. Well below having done 80,000 miles or even 40,000 miles.

Car Park Fires, Transporters / Ships, any fires, any EV,s involved or not thread, were they the cause just there and so made fighting the fire harder.
The Manufacturers of the G-Wiz should stop manufacturing them immediately. Or 13 years ago. Keep the man in Australia happy. Well angry... CONVERSION TO LITHIUM.pdf

the truth about electric cars
Long story short. They have to pay charging costs like a Private Owner with no home charging might. But, they are not just counting in the Tariff for public charging, they are including the Land and the Charger. Rented /leased or owned. ............... If i want Milk i go buy milk at a shop / dairy / supermarket. I do not own a cow or land to keep a cow on or milking machines or even a pail. Same if i own or lease a EV and do not have home charging, i do not buy a charger & charging bay. ................ The 20-80% charging guff yet again. AC charging, fill your boots if you want, lease / fleet car or even your own if you want, get the electric in when cheap / cheaper. Car Clubs not running like Fleet or Commercial Drivers. Benefit in Kind. 20% claim back on VAT for some. Work Place charging. Salary Sacrifice. They are Car Club Running Costs, & there are University, Council Car Clubs etc. Their own grounds / parking, renewable energy maybe, wind, solar, battery storage. They are Running EV,s. Drip feeding the 20-80% and people sook it in!
