  2. The engine cover Recall was not for your engine. The PHEV is like others when the DVLA Recall letter goes to Registered Keepers in that can get overlooked and not actioned. At least you car was in at a Main Dealers and any Recalls or Recalls actions should be identified. That VIN Checker has been hopeless over the years in that actual 'Safety Critical Recalls' sometimes do not come up.
  3. A Main Dealer that does Fixed Price Servicing & Maintenance prices might be £215 or now £220 to service a 6 or 7 speed wet clutch DSG. If it is a 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG so a DQ200 it does not need Service / Oil Changes, but some have it done and Dealerships might charge anything. @t13nyr If you have bought a Skoda Approved Used car or a Skoda Warranty for your car it is not valid if the car is used as a Taxi / Private Hire vehicle. Maybe an Independent garage familiar with DSG's would be better for having servicing done on your car, unless the Main Dealerships are cheaper which they actually can be.
  4. It is worth buying one. But then people have been doing that and the issue is getting one. If you were wise enough to buy one or more when they were quite a bit cheaper you could be making money selling them.
  5. @Robster59 Was your car part of the Safety Recall and has that been done? http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions
  6. @murcGuru Regarding the engine oil and keeping to Spec. Your 2010 1.4 TSI 136 kW engine / car in 2010 quite likely has not a Flexible / Variable Service regime code as that was only from 2011 for many of the Mk2 vRS. So the Oil for Fixed Servicing was and is VW502 00 which is 5w 40 FS. Best used with the vRS's and has saved many an engine that can use VW504 00 / 507 Long Life engine for Fixed or Variable servicing. If you are using Super Unleaded and the additives / detergents that come with that you can well do without more detergents in the long life oil. 5w40 FS to VW502 00 will do the engine good and do it no harm. The Castrol Crap that VW Group recommended certainly has for over 20% of CAVE engines, as did the OE plugs they fitted until 2012, and the software and oil spray jets. If you have a good running 12 year old car then stick with the Spec, and stick with the Oil for Fixed Service Regimes. IMO. & 3.9 / 4.0 litres oil is more like the right quantity not 3.6 litres as VW Group had it.
  7. Motability that is the biggest group buyer in the UK are able to offer Skodas at lower advance price for Medium Size Car automatics. Fabia, Kamiq & Scala. There are a few others from Seat, Toyota & Hyundai. As long as they are able to get these 1.0 lire engine cars delivered then that bumps up their first registrations. The manufacturers need to get these first registered as they struggle to have the Average C02 emissions in 2022. Skoda problem is they have no got enough models that are mild hybrids.
  8. @Danoid Speedos 'over reading' is what they do from the factory. a little more circumference / total diameter has the speedo more accurate usually. Under reading speedo's are the problem.
  9. I am sitting in my Corsa now charging after 1 1/2 hours driving. 3 hours more to do using electricity I have not paid for. Seat fully down and back and heating on and steering wheel heat on. I see all I need to. I would be happy in a Fabia if getting 65 mpg as I can in a 130 ps auto Corsa driving at the same speeds. Skoda will eventually get a Fabia sized EV. If they had even bothered just doing the mk4 as a mild hybrid estate that would have been simply clever.
  10. EDIT. Sorry i was thinking you had different tyre sizes front to rear. Even with the same size it is too late for changing fronts to rears / rears to front. Warning might well not sound when tyres all drop some PSI so no difference detected really unless one is showing enough difference when set. Hence you check regularly and not wait for warnings unless with a car with a system that shows individual tyres pressures and even heat. I have no idea of the pressures for your tyres on rear or front. The cars with staggered tyres are going to be expensive to keep in tyres for many people. (Different widths front and rear.) Do not over inflate if you are not using a car fully loaded, over inflation of stopping tyre wear. Terrible for traction / grip for adverse weather conditions. ECO tyre pressures might help range, but safety is more important IMO. This ID4 is on staggered tyres. I have seen Enyaq 80's on the 21" rims.
  11. ? Are you resetting the TPMS now when the pressures are checked and any adjustments made? The Tyres were set at the Factory. That was set for storage and then transportation. So over inflated for strapping to transporters and there were transport blocks fitted. At the PDI is when the Dealership or Distribution Centre tech / fitter is supposed to reset them and set the TPMS. & do the other checks, remove transport blocks etc. You should never trust someone you do not know to set your tyre pressures without checking. They are not a friend or family member and could not really care in many cases about your safety, and have no idea how or where you drive.
  12. They do. it was 8 years ago that they became the DVSA.
  13. There is no VOSA now, they are DVSA. Do not leave car faults on new cars until a car is going in for a service. The Warranty has Exclusions & 6 months / 6,500 miles on some things. But if you leave things un-reported then Staff at Dealerships say, 'we have never seen or heard of that' while other say ' they all do that', and some say'. Skoda / VW are dealing with that and will resolve it.
  14. @3034vrs Tell us more about there Mk3 then that needs the light. When built, what spec? If they are pricey for a used one on Ebay then that is the going asking price, no point anyone selling theirs cheap is there to someone they do not know. There is a wanted section in the classifieds.

The post here by @WRKDK00might interest some. Rear Tyres. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/506460-tyre-wear
  16. @WRKDK00 Welcome to the forum. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/507419-tyre-wear ? Did you read this one? Or is it you? The pictures are useful. http://enyaqforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1211 **Skoda Dealers do need to discus with Skoda UK & CZ the Tyres so that Bridgestone can be part of a discussion. Then the expected tyre life will be known at Dealerships, maybe a TPI issued then no excuse for 'Never seen that before' or 'they all wear like that', or wasting time and money on alignment checks any more than normally should be done.** Salespeople, Service Desk staff and managers and Fitters, Techs & Master Techs can get genned up on EV tyres and possible wear as Skoda are going all electric eventually and they need to know these things, selling and maintaining cars is the business they are in after all. ? What size wheels and tyres are on the rear of your Enyaq 80 & what pressure are you running them at, and is the car loaded or unloaded with the tyres at that pressure? Did you set the tyre pressures when you got the car then reset the TPMS? They are 'Self Sealing' if the tyre gets a puncture / pierced, so what did the tyre fitter find that had punctured the tyre, or did they think it leaked at the bead? They need to repair a puncture if they can see what was in the tyre, if it is now out like a small tack then the black thick substance did its job. ....................... Looking forward to reading the reply you get from Skoda UK customer services.
  17. @GilbertS Was that someone in a VW Dealership you spoke to as in a Salesperson or actually a Technician or someone at VW UK Customer Services? It is Skoda / VW UK's Customer Services that you want to give you answers in writing once they have actually talked to a Technical Person.
  18. It is the cheapest one even if not that cheap but needs compared to a Fabia 1.0 TSI with the a 5 speed manual or even a MPI & not a 95 or 110 ps TSI. A Corsa 100ps 6 speed manual has the best consumption supposedly, but are pretty expensive.
  19. @MATT1 What was the price quoted for the Cam Belt change and what reason did they give for not honouring that price?
  20. Welcome. How new is the battery if you can not remember? It can not be that new. I hope someone can help. Sorry but i have no idea, other than you should not need to be touching the accelerator to have your diesel engine fire up.
  21. @GerrycanDid you find out what power of engine, 75 ps or 100 Turbo? (I guess not a 130ps) 75ps is a 5 speed manual. 100 ps 6 speed. Automatics are 8 speed.
  22. Winter & ECO maybe not, but Winter & Sport, as many now want for EV's Speed Rating & Load rating and still be good if you want to be getting about in not wintry weather in winter.
  23. @harry_stormerWelcome. Can we assume you have recently got the car and this is who it is, and not that you had the car and it worked and now it has stopped working?
