Lane assist is dangerous
The Mk8 Golf i have been driving is great. I have not checked what level the LKA is set at but no pulling just a little nudge to let you know. It turns off in 20, 30 or 40 mph speed limits automatically.

Winter wheels
@SkOmk4 If putting on good winters in the UK that is the ones to maybe go with. But for many All Seasons will be just fine. Considering how little snow or even cold roads they will be encountering. Lots of nice weather in much of England between November and April. I have just left the Michelin Alpin 6 on for 30,000 miles and they are still at over 6 mm tread depth. They are 8mm when new.

UK Public Charger Network & price increases as they are announced. Please post here as you become aware of any changes in the costs.
Some hybrids are being extended to 2035; They will not be kiddy on ones with little range running on electric. http://confused.com/car-insurance/guides/new-petrol-and-diesel-car-ban The manufacturers need to try harder, maybe forget performance of the speed and concentrate on efficiency, range.

As long as they can get Company / Business users and Public Services drivers in first and then those vehicles on the used market things will be going well. The issue is not the shortage of people that will go EV's it is the shortage of product. Now there is under 8 years now to buy new ICE vehicles in the UK that are not electrified in some way. http://carmagazine.co.uk/electric/ev-sales-figures-uk

Reset DSG ‘learning’
@simonharper Did you use S at any point? Perfect for use on hill roads with different engines big or small and DSG's Wet Clutch or DSG. Holding a gear to a higher RPM, and good for decelerating without braking when off the accelerator.

All Season Tyres....
Supposedly the best all seasons on snow is the thing with Michelin Cross Climate 2. Are they or are they not? If they were proven so then it would be simple. just fit them, but that is not how things work. First you need to get then on UK snow. Find the snow. Did he not know that when there is snow that Scottish Ski Resorts get roads ploughed to get people up, or if not the snow gates get closed. We do need to know how they are on fresh snow though and on ploughed, hard packed snow roads as you get in the Scottish Hill Routes. No black top. Lockdown & Covid closed the Ski Centres when there was snow to anyone other than very local. Yoiu can check the roads in real time with the Road Side & Ski Centre Webcams. It is known as using your common sense.

How about these tyres for snow performance?
Please explain sooner rather than later. ? Are you going to post a video or an expert using these tyres, or pictures? They will be terrible in snow as far as braking and traction, grip, in fresh, packed, ploughed and gritted roads, slush, thawing roads. Basically cold / wet roads. But many will have them on cars. Maybe parked up and abandoned. We all have different opinions. Or experiences. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/459700-avon-wv7-snow http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/461444-short-winter-tyre-complaint-thread

The Citigo Picture Thread.
When you turn on just the Side / Position lights, front and rear the DRL's should not remain bright. Just on dim because they are Side / Position Lights. As they should be dim when one front and one rear as Parking Lights. DRL, Daytime Running Lights, or actually Day Light Running lights. The UK Highway code said Sidelights could be used in 30 mph lit streets. No idea if the new highway code has changed that stupidity. EDIT. It appears not.

Anything to look out for? And should 3rd and 4th be notchy?
Sorry, i was just hoping your post would be seen by more with the same cars. I do not drive manuals. Maybe some servicing and maintenance is all that is needed. Grown ups with knowledge will be along hopefully.

Welcome to the forum. I will flag your post and a Mod might move it to the Octavia section. The gearbox should not be notchy in any gear or between them.

Steering Wheel Heating - Switch on at start of journey
@timster The OP has not got a iV though. A WLTP Certificated (RDE2) car for the UK.

MK3 choice
There is no Water Pump replacing Schedule or Guidelines. The car can be set on Fixed or Variable Servicing. 24 months / 18,000 -20,000 miles. I would have it on fixed, so 9,400 / 12 month Oil & Filter Services and other stuff. I would even use 5w 40 FS oil, VW 502 00, rather than Long Life 5w 30 FS FS III , VW504 00 / 507 00. The DSG has no servicing requirement. The example below is old prices and when there was Minor & Major Servicing time about, or Major & Major. In Blue the new Recommendations, Guidelines or even Schedule as Skoda UK have it. Last years prices.

Steering Wheel Heating - Switch on at start of journey
I thought you were posting about not being able to pre set for both to come on. I certainly hope when you get in the car and select the heated steering wheel that comes on, even if it maybe decides to disable it's self like mine does occasionally. (not on an Octavia.)

Odd noise
@ktm690rr What tyres are these? & had they ever been on the front and moved to the rear? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/506196-tyre-damage http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505352-deteriorating-front-tyres

Steering Wheel Heating - Switch on at start of journey
I see it as, if it is settable and then just has to switch it's self off it might as well not be settable. But that is maybe just too 'Simple' like me and totally wrong.

Odd noise
Remember, reset TPMS, with spare and then with again with tyres back to usual.

Fabia rear seat drop
Eventually someone actually with a Mk3 might comment. The issue with Mk2 Fabia where you pulled the seat base forward and folded it was that it worked OK when the seat was not fully back, then you dropped the rear forward. But with the drivers seat which i had as low as possible and as far back as i could on the runners, the seat base had not enough room. so i only dropped the rear seat back flat at the passenger side.
