  1. So tell us what age. 2010-2012 or 2012 on. CAVE or CTHE. What did the plugs at came out look like, was one fouled or the tip burnt?
  2. Paying double the price for spark plugs than was necessary was not smart. What were they, and at what gap are they. Or throwing parts at it.
  3. Does that engine have a cam belt? Someone here will know. Some money to spend if the advisories @ the MOT are getting addressed and not already done.
  4. Winter certainly does have a habit of being after the Festive season in the south and having an affect on all those un-ploughed and untreated roads that Asda, Tesco, Sainsburry, Morrison's home delivery vans are out on.
  5. @Sheepdog Have a look in BRISKODA for sales adverts for a spare. Often someone selling or trading in a car will keep their good spare and put in whatever they have, or a dealer will, or a Skoda Dealership will sell a spare not that well suited to the vehicle. The Spare was a little under the size of the 4 tyres / wheel. Did you sit them side by side to see how much smaller? As an Emergency Spare tyre to get you to a place of safety or repair / replace the 'Officers' would really not bother as you kept your speed down. A matching alloy is good, but if the tyre is not matching, tread, new not used and the pressure when you take it out is higher for storage then you still need to slow down with it on. Just so no accidents and police / insurance involvement. ? Did you use these, and did you not try one in the boot / spare tyre well? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/498116-winter-tyres-1956515
  6. Public charging does really need to be 'tap and pay' and at chargers that have good 'mobile / sim' communication, and in areas with good mobile phone reception 24/7 and some call handlers able to communicate with chargers and start them. That is UK wide, even in rural areas. Especially in rural areas, http://news.sky.com/story/three-out-of-four-electric-vehicle-owners-unhappy-with-uks-public-charging-system-12703655 http://www.zap-map.com/drivers-rate-electric-vehicle-charging-networks-uk ZapMap need to up their game. Too often it takes weeks for them to correct errors on their site when notified. Location, chargers, pricing. months even.
  7. @TheWanderer Do you think the delivery of your car will happen before winter 2022/23 has come and gone?
  8. @kodiaqsportlinereally your experiences of the dealers you frequent are neither here or there as they appear to always be spot on and as quoted or advertised and you are a true committed customer and fan boy who is at the service desk and the waiting area seeing so many transactions between service staff and customers. You have posted of various dealership experiences around Scotland and that is nice to know how well you get on. The 100% commitment can still be shown to the Dealership network when the car is serviced to the Recommendations , guidelines or even schedule which would be at 3 years , 30,000 miles possibly. An additional / interim service / oil change with the correct fluids / parts at a VAT registered establishment is not an issue. The Haldex Service is due @ 3 years / 30,000 miles to have the car serviced to the manufacturers recommendations. Gestures is just a piece of nonsense that the Dealership come away with. The gestures used to be generous or appear so when actually valid Warranty Claims. Owners accepting 60% contribution and such nonsense as has been happening with Corrosion Warranty claims. The reason that me and others have suggested over the years to pay something towards 'Warranty Work' when possible or them giving an offer of maybe 80% for the job that 'the price of is overinflated' compared to what a Warranty company wold be paying is you are not just covered to the end of the Manufacturers Warranty. You get 2 years Parts & Labour cover.
  9. Is this for Guildford and area? is it 19's you have now so maybe going to 18's with All Season tyres for as bad as it gets in your area, or are you crossing the Channel and maybe needing 'Winter tyres'?
  10. @Carlston will not reveal what he drives or on which tyres / sizes even though i am truly interested and nosy. Bi-curious.
  11. @delicolor That has been there for quite a while and each time the car was fueled or washed. What age is this car and was that not there at the last service so not remarked on at that service when the Body Inspection was done while in the 3 years manufacturers warranty. Not that the warranty does require Annual or Bi-annual or even periodic inspections even though Skoda UK might say they do. But then the Skoda Main Dealer Servicing says that Body Inspections are part of a service. http://theguardian.com/money/2022/jul/13/why-didnt-skoda-make-its-fabia-warranty-terms-clear
  12. Exactly, Ibiza Cupra 1.4 TSI was launched 2009 & the Polo GTI 1.4 TSI 2010 with 215/40 R 17 Tyres and the Fabia Mk2 vRS in 2010 with 205/40 R17's They stayed in production to 2014. They sold them as Winter wheel / tyre sets with winter tyres fitted, as well as spares.
  13. Could they have been the Optional Spare for 1.4 Twinchargers 2009-2014 rom VW, SEAT & Audi that came on 215/40 R 17 tyres and without a spare as standard? With the Polo GTI there was a Battery Cover to buy and a spare wheel.
  14. @Carlston Possible is good enough. Actually is even better. They were on cars and in boots regardless of all the scores on the doors & any 'official information on your databases'.. If you were to visit a Skoda Dealership pre 2015 you might have seem them sitting inside the door on offer as a set. That is in Scotland anyway.
  15. @Carlstonthanks for that. I must be having a false memory of them being in there pre Mk3 Fabia then. Still fits, and they were selling them as Spare Wheels for Fabia Mk2 2008-2014. but that must have been after 2014 then. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/428592-tyre-size-mark-2
  16. @Carlston Keep up at the back. I never said it was. I posted about what fitted, not the cars wheel / tyre sizes. It is an OEM sized 'Spare Wheel' that came with Fabia Mk2 cars. That or a 195/55 R 15. Clue. The 185/60 R 15 spare sitting in the spare tyre well of a Mk2 vRS which comes as standard with 205/40 R 17 tyres.
  17. If your Karoq has a DQ381 DSG then yes 80,000 miles. So if that suits you. My post does not say stick to 40,000 miles if you have a DQ381. Just that there are DSG that do not need doing at 40,000 miles, or ones that do not need doing. There was never a 4 year service Schedule. only by miles.
  18. @adj209 Why not just buy a used EV? Nippy enough, cheap for London, you will have loads of chargers about. An hour of charging could take you 150 - 200 miles or getting around. Maybe no electricity though in a year or 3, but then there would be no petrol either. A KIa / Hyundai, a MG or even a boring Stellantis / PSA EV.
  19. Welcome. Since they are at their oldest 7 years since Euro 6 cars then who knows after 8 years. **2015/16 Euro 6 Emission cars.** If you are still getting allowed to run 2018 cars in 2037 you should be fine. 5,000 miles a year. An oil and filter change every year, or 2 years, or 3 years or even 4 if you want. Gear box in manual then never, if a DSG then every 8 years. Pollen filter will depend on pollution or runs through fields of straw. VAQ ever 3 years. You decide what you want or who you want doing it.
  20. The OEM Spare wheels for a Mk2 Fabia fit in the spare tyre well. 185/60 R 15 or 195/55 R 15. A 17" Gigaro with a 205/40 R 17 or even a 215/40 R 17 fits in.
  21. @SanqharRegardless of what you thought it did not only apply to manuals. Luckily your car was not affected then or required any software updates or was part of the Recall. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505561-if-not-touranzas-then-what/page/2 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/506516-karoq-kangerooing
  22. So i will be £4 in Credit on Monday and Eon Next will not be taking my £50 DD & crediting £16 to my Dual Fuel Account. If i was to change the amount of my DD it would to £91.34 which is the minimum they say is required by my current usage. They also say my Tariff requires me to get a Smart Meter fitted. The benefits etc etc. No benefit to me, i know how to save energy. Just do not use much that i pay for.
  23. If they could make it more confusing they would find it hard. http://moneysavingexpert.com/news/2022/08/how-energy-suppliers-will-pay-the-p400-cost-of-living-support-pa Odd that with the various suppliers the Account is not just credited with the £66 then the £67. Then if people are in Credit in April 2023 they get a 'refund'. It is like the £150 Council Tax 'Help with cost of living where in England people got £150 and not just their CT account credited with this. Some had to apply and have not done.
  24. Welcome. I flagged so a Mod can move to the Mk2 section and hopefully someone can help.
  25. I had them on my Corsa. Still to touch up the damage when i took them off. What a total PITA and much as they will be for you and the Fabia. There is very much a front and rear bracket. But you need to find if you are correct when tension is on the bars. I had a peg front and rear. If not pegs on all four i would say the peg goes to the front. The bars never did seem to sit right until really really screwed down with the Socket Spanned to the point i thought the threads would strip. All the best, they are not worth the hassle.
