Sportline Front Shockers
@YorkieDave Your Haldex is due a Service @ 3 years / 30,000 miles or even sooner. Best be sure that is is not just done as an oil change and no clean out done. The Skoda Fixed Price Servicing and Maintenance price might just just be an Oil change and to have it done as you would want and should be might cost more. 40,000 mile DSG Services apply to those needing that schedule, not those on 80,000 miles or no servicing and the 4 years is not the schedule and never has been.

Sportline Front Shockers
The car is 2.5 years old. It only needs a service at 24 months / 20,000 miles, or if on fixed at 12 months / 9,600 miles & the next could be at 36,000 months so the car has been serviced at a Skoda Main Dealers. It was done @ 15,000 miles. So that is Serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Guidelines and even Schedule. Additional inspections or maintenance or oil changes does not mean any loss of 'Main Dealer Servicing' record. PS. Plenty Skoda Dealerships in the UK do not charge to Skoda Fixed Price And Maintenance dealers for cars from 3-10 years old. They have to be a Participating Dealer. This is not a 3-10 year old car and the price charged for Servicing can be anything in different parts of the UK and where the customer is told there is special oil and this has increased in price. That is as recently has been the case. Just a one off with @phh683& the £229.00. Or maybe not as they will have customers in 5 days a week. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/506780-mk4-diesel-vrs-first-service/

Kamiq Service Intervals
@TomWest Your Local is having a laugh. So an Oil & Inspection Service and a £35 pollen filter. Change the £15 filter yourself. It is not a Major Service. It is an Oil & Inspection Service, @ 2 years / 20,000 miles. (The car was on Variable servicing unless you asked for fixed or it got put on fixed so did not need an oil change until 24 months / 20,000 miles, last years was just an Oil change really.) This year or next, No plugs, air filter or anything much than a look see and report. Next year the Extended Scope @ maybe an extra £60 & Brake Fluid Change if you want it & £60 maybe. So that will @ 3 years be an Oil & Inspection Service, Extended Scope & Brake Fluid. Money for old rope for them.

Delivery times
Welcome. Just nosy but, ? Who is the Dealer it is ordered at or who is the deal done with? The Dealer you ordered with or that are supplying it are the ones that really really do know better than anyone else who got there car or told a story. Skoda Salespeople really can talk to those that know, meet the delivery drivers, sit in on their sales meetings get the updates etc. It is just that sometimes if no good news they do not want to tell you, or even then if good news they can not be bothered.

Tyre bead sealer
Over the years i have cleaned & refinished plenty of beads, then used sealer to stop loss of air. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Quite reliable with someones dodgy alloys for me has been to let out the air, put half a can of Cheap Tyre Weld Copy as sold at Discount Home Stores in and inflate and then get more air in and up to a high pressure and spin them well. Actually on a private bit of land. Pressures set and job done and usually successful. Gubbed alloy rims holding air.

UK Public Charger Network & price increases as they are announced. Please post here as you become aware of any changes in the costs.
I boast i have done 35,000 miles with under £150 paid for electric including £40 for 2 CPS cards. I might manage to stay under £150 to the end of this year. Once Stirling & Ayrshire North & South start charging to charge i will be paying for electric to drive an EV. South Ayrshire has been talking about it for over a year and people at Stirling Park & Ride tell me it will end soon. Good. and the sooner there are 100 kW chargers available the better. Commercial or Council provided and tax payer subsidised with fees paid and proper maintenance & reliability. CPS cards and apps are often not reliable and tapping a Debit or Credit card at a CPS charger can be simple, and then you pay right there and then and do not wait weeks for the CPS Account and payment.

Grooves on Slotted rotors are being grinded away
A picture of them when new and how the slots were machined would be marvellous. Were the grooves of even depths the full length of them or deeper at one end? Saying who these discs are maybe by or sold by would be super-duper. How long and how many miles /km has been done using them would be interesting. IMO. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/455363-aftermarket-brake-pads-or-brake-set

Sportline Front Shockers
Simply, are they leaking, were they poorly manufactured. If you think so have an Approved VW group repairer inspect them. Make a warranty claim or not, do not wait till the car has been on the road 35 months. A tech might support the claim or might not. Dampers do fail. Some are replaced under warranty. Misting is common. Wipe / clean them and see if leaking or they get misted.

Grooves on Slotted rotors are being grinded away
They were more Stylee than actual performance discs anyway. Not really cooling the discs just a reduced braking surface. But good to see they have done the job and are not a corroded mess that OEM ones can be.

https://www.transport.gov.scot/news/a-new-vision-for-electric-vehicle-charging-infrastructure-in-scotland They need to stop rejecting planning for solar farms and battery storage in Perthshire, Angus and other council areas. There are plenty not happy paying 23 pence a kWh in Angus since November 2022, so charge free at Tesco or in Perth & Kinross. Like i do. *Now with Home Tariffs being higher than the Public chargers then less are unhappy, but still like Free or Much Cheapness.* £48 Million plus to CPS / SWARCO /e-Volt, BP & others, installers, planners, and Councillor visits, also for chargers that are not for public use but Home Carers, NHS, Police etc and to Councils budgets in 11 years is for a reason as Scotland actually tries to get to lower emissions and pollution like in the most polluted streets in Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Edinburgh & Glasgow. But then they are actually at Bus Stations and Bus stop areas as in Perth. They as in the Councils & local authorities got sh!t loads of EU Grants etc. and various other millions thrown their way. Some like P&K Council still have not spent it like with Broxden Park & Rides extension. Dundee City Council has 2 sets of tariffs. Dundee City Residents who might or might not pay Council Tax and non Dundee City Residents.

? Was it the Service desk person or the Service Manager that told you and said the warranty would not cover them, or the Master Tech and had they checked them. Did anyone speak with the Warranty Manager for that branch or area and involve the master tech in that discussion? Actually leaking is an issue. But then if leaking they can say not faulty and just how you use the 4x4 SUV. Not a manufacturing fault. Best have a Mechanic have a look at the dampers for you and comment. If just misting then that can carry on for years and not be an issue or a MOT fail.

http://dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/electric-vehicle-owners-soon-pay-27835670 Perth & Kinross Council will be starting to charge to use Public Chargers provided by them from the 1st January 2023. It is a sensible time limit that will apply.

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
http://dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/electric-vehicle-owners-soon-pay-27835670 Charging for free will end at Perth & Kinross Council provided chargers on the 1st January 2023. (Charging in @ Angus Council chargers is still at 23 pence a kWh and without time limit but this may well be changing.)

Grooves on Slotted rotors are being grinded away
The lowest point is not being worn away, it is the braking surface that is getting thinner. Same as if they were on a lathe and being skimmed. Pads wearing, discs wearing. They are consumables.

Bilstein B4 or Racingline Performance Dampers?

DGS 7 speed auto box.
@Blackbeltuk You know what engine you have. There was only DQ200 7 speed DSG's in 2011. Wet Clutch were 6 speed. You have the letter for Registered Keepers of cars with DQ200 DSG's. *34F7 was carried out in July 2014*. I assume the car is Front Wheel Drive and with no more than 150 ps (Fabia vRS were 180ps) and not over 250 Nm. So a 1.4 or 1.8 TSI or a 1.6 TDI. No 2.0 TSI or TDI's got a DQ200. PS. Checked your Reg No. So a 1.8TSI in Black. 160ps ??? My bad. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions

Want a Citigo GO
The Engine was to be going in the rear. VW had to work with what they had or bought in and even buying part if Suzuki for a while to get to know what Suzuki & Fiat / Mitsubishi & even Yamaha was working on never got them the engines they had not put work into. As for Auto boxes, or Automated Manuals VW managed to fit the worst about in the UP!MiiCitigo. Suzuki got out on the eve of the crap hitting the fan for VW Group over Defeat Devices. Coincidence. I think not. http://bbc.co.uk/news/business-34275917 http://bbc.co.uk/news/business-15867168 Likely with financial help from Toyota who had or used far better small auto's or even CVT's than VW bothered buying in.

So check if a sticker in the boot / spare tyre well with '34F7'. If so the oil was changed.- DGS 7 speed auto box.
No. Not if a 2010 7 speed. That will be a DQ200 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG. So no oil changes. BUT. No way is it sealed for life, because a world wide recall was started in 2012 excluding Europe. We got a Service Campaign '34F7' started in Match 2014. That was the Synthetic Oil changed for mineral & a software update. That means any Skoda Dealership staff or an Independent that knows their arse from elbow knows they are not sealed for life. (nothing is really) Some do change the Oil. 2 Oils, in the MCU and in the Box, but no need to do that.- Skoda superb 3 estate rear glass that's not tinted
Welcome. That would be from a Car Breakers / Salvage or a Windscreen / Glass fitter / supplier. ? Do you want to know which model you need to be getting the glass for which does not have Sunset / tinted glass?- Decent Parts catalogue
@CrucianIt has been a while since someone posted on here about misfires or EPC or emission lights on after spark plugs have been changed. It is like some handless souls pick a pipe and pipe to puncture or not reconnect.- vRS Fabia mk2
@murcGuru You will see the picture on here with the update. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/472431-fabia-vrs-mk2-cave-issues-and-tsbs- Octavia mk3 booked in for repair under warranty
It was up to about 2012 that the Cattle Grid rattle was common with Fabia Mk2 vRS. Dealership staff said they all did that, us with ones that did not felt cheated. Why could we not all have the fault. Since then not common on new DQ200's. Heat shields are though. Broken bracket on the downpipe with Twinchargers was common as well. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/239506-dsg-rattle http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/451988-tiny-rattle-noise-from-passenger-side-front http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/218246-vrs-dsg-rattle- Hybrid versus petrol and diesel: a comparison of real-life fuel consumption
Frack the crap out of the ground where parts of the UK need more energy than it produces now and needs to import and have that expense spread all around the UK. That will be in England. Not that it is destined for peoples homes in the UK, but it might be for refining petrolchemicals and road fuels. @snealyou probably are if you are a customer, employee or shareholder with TESCO PLC or VW Group or even an UK tax payer. You pay for the UK missing emissions targets as well, and for the capping of energy prices. Those in the North of the UK are paying for the years of cheap energy for all of the UK from Nuclear which needs billions spent to clean it up. Now there is about 3 times more energy than Scotland requires being produced with only one Nuclear power station and 1 gas powered and lots of renewables and sadly not enough storage or offpeak use so it is on the Global Market and tariffs & standing charges are as high or higher than anyplace in the UK even with an Energy Cap. Not free Rapid charging, subsidised though as pretty cheap per kWh still public chargers. - DGS 7 speed auto box.
