Preconditioning Battery
? What is the point of pre-heating the battery using the energy in the battery, is it going to increase range? Vehicles that can pre-heating the battery taking power from the mains is rather good for assisting the range.

Hiya and Towing advice
@Swirly182 As well as a 245 ps do you have a DSG that just keeps rolling along not really needing to use even half the available power or torque?

Looking for colour match to touch up Mk2 VRS alloys
I do not think there is a paint code with the size in the lettering on the back of the rim but maybe check. The best or cheapest place might be the Local Motor Factor that mixes paint or Ebay, or Greyish Black Nail Varnish from a Bargain Shop until you get paint. Someone might be along that has bought some recently. There were slight differences in Black Gigaros since 2010 on OEM and ones that came as replacements under warranty, or later cars. I think the last touch up i used was Volvo Graphite Metallic. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/275633-black-gigaro-wheel-paint

Injector failure, egr failure 1.6 tdi greenline yeti 60k
@brummie10 No special Additives for any extra paid in Regular Diesel from the major brands over that the supermarkets / multi nationals are buying in. Premium Diesel might well have but then no higher cetane. More than half the diesel cars in the UK will have their tanks filled at supermarket diesel pumps. VW Group say not to use Fuel Additives. VW Group sells Fuel Additives for Petrol & Diesels.

60 MPH speed limit towing a caravan on a motorway. Once off the slip road just pick a lane to the left hand side.

Can I change from 18" wheels to 16" wheels?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are even £35,000 VW EV's running Steel Wheels with wheel covers.

It is good when tyres are explained and for regions and it is not just assumed newest is best for any persons use, region, vehicle, seasons and temperatures. This was out in 2020.

Fuel gauge slow to move from full
There is the tank and the tank capacity, then there is fuel up the tube, then there can be fuel up the tube till you see it, so brimmed. The fuel in the tank is what can be measured, more up the tube can not, or when brimmed.

Looks good. Someones idea of a ride being much harder might be actually a little harder, or not harder actually. Some people want the sporty look, want the handling to go with the look. if they want a car that looks like the most basic ones from a Health Board or Meter Reading Fleet with Steel Wheels and bulging tyres to be able to touch park kerbs then that is an easy look to go with.

Delivery times?
Well maybe you could expect delays if they are not building as many for the Skoda's as well as the VW's, SEATs ands Audi's if Audis are still using them. I thought DQ200's were going to be discontinued other than with the Mild Hybrids, but then there is nothing else to use so the new Fabia Mk4 1.5 TSI is not a mild hybrid. The DQ200-e's might get priority because VW Group needs to meet low Average Emissions in the EU and in the UK so need the electrified cars, but then they need batteries, and that is an issue.
-
Delivery times?
Not with DQ200's, no 2.0 TSI or TDI use them. They will be DQ381's quite likely. Wet Clutch. Kodiaq 1.5 TSI's are DQ381's.

If you are going to be driving the A93 or the Glenshee & Deeside area this weekend be aware this will not be a great time for it. Unless you want to see the cycle race. Saturday is the Braemar Gathering. Sunday will have road closures are various times and places. 'Tour of Britain Cycle Race Finish Day 1 at Glenshee Ski Centre'. http://braemarscotland.co.uk/events/tour-of-britain-cycle-race-finish-day-1-at-glenshee-ski-centre http://tourofbritain.co.uk/stages/stage-one

the truth about electric cars
Yesterday a driver came off a charger and let me on. He had to wait for near an hour before he got a charge because the driver before him wanted the Tesla to 99.999% of a charge. I know who that was and they have a home charger but like to take a 15 mile drive to get some shopping and a walk about and a free charge.

the truth about electric cars
Rant. Common thing, a single Rapid / 50 kW charger and a vehicle now parked over an hour and not charging and the plug head is locked in. Not that i could get plugged in anyway because of position of my charge port. There are Parking Wardens that were ticketing cars in the bays even when tickets for the car park were suspended during covid and the charger cut out on you. This is not a free charger, it is 23 pence a kWh. Not seen any cars ticket yet, but i see this car in the bay not charging regularly.

Terraclean 2017 1.6 diesel
If you love your car get a proper diagnosis of any fault codes and issues. Then swerve the Terraclean. Service and maintain the car and if there are DPF or EGR issues have them dealt with. IMO.

Delivery times?
@MaximusMeridiusDQ200,s in FWD cars with no more than 150 ps 250 Nm. But they build more than 2,500 a day at full tilt and for the VW Group vehicles across the models. ? Are there 1.6 TDI,s anymore?

At what tread depth do you change tyres?
Michelin own ATS Euromaster and BlackCircles. Nice when they have Michelin's cheaper than others and available. Not always the case though.

1.2 TSI running rough after cambelt change
Welcome. Just incase anyone is reading on a phone and can not see, your car is not a 1.2 TSI but a 1.0 TSI. so a 3 cylinder and a 2017.

Reliability of the 1.2 12v engine.
The Haldex Oil was not changed because you car is FWD and has no Haldex System. Since the car was getting Variable Oil & Filter Services that means it should have been getting Long Life Oil so VW504 00 / VW 507 00. That is 5w 30 FS III. If you are doing an Oil change now you could go on a Fixed Oil & Filter regime and use VW502 00 which is 5w 40 FS. ............. Sorry. The Edit & picture about the battery ended up in your thread instead of one i was posting in the Fabia Mk3 Section. ................ Your engines oil capacity is 3.9 litres. There is also a different oil filter fitted to your engine than the earlier ones.

Best check your car battery now - (why?)
@Gerrycan My battery was in a 2.0 TDI DSG and not as cheap as they get away with in Mk3 Fabias. It worked as it should with stop / start reliably functioning when it should function. No cold weather start issues or anything else like leaving the car sitting a week or 3 in the UK summer or winter and a dead battery. No idea if the All New Mk4 Fabia are fitted with any better / more suitable batteries than mk3 got. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/490474-new-battery-on-mk3-and-voltage http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/430656-fabia-mk-3-stopstart http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/465217-battery-type-and-problem http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/479452-swapping-battery http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/488590-battery-replacement

Reliability of the 1.2 12v engine.
Page 1 the 180,000 km car was built 20/5/2012 according to a reply to me. So it was getting oil & filter changes to a Variable / Flexible regime rather than Fixed Servicing.

If your suspension bottoms ....
Welcome. Not an uncommon issue. There are even Transit Block found as much as after 3 years even though cars have Main Dealer Servicing. Recently cars posted about on here that have suffered damage because they were left on. Have you informed the Supplying Dealers Dealer Principal? Training needed there, that is of the supervisors as well as the junior / workshop staff. PS Was your tyres set at a safe pressure and not left as they had been for transportation and being strapped down?
