Reliability of the 1.2 12v engine.
When was the car / engine built. Was it before the revised timing chain tensioner was introduced, late 2011? What was done at serviced matters. That can be just oil and filter changes. So has it had spark plugs changed a couple of times or recently? What power output of 1.2tsi. why would a seller say the engine does not sound healthy? Unless a very honest seller.

Vision 7S
A concept of a 7 seat EV so many might have to sign up as Skoda / VW are not going to launch any new models of Euro 7 ICE vehicles are they between 2023 and 2030 are they.

Anything of that sort.

Hard brake pedal with the engine off
@akon Are you in the UK? I like others in the UK in winter might not apply the handbrake or e-brake when there is freezing weather, not because we do not trust it to hold the car, but because the pads can freeze to the discs or drums. Hot brakes applied and cooling is when they release and cars run away as is denied by VW Group. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions Plenty threads over the years on winter parking.

Hard brake pedal with the engine off
There must be a reason the e-brake / parking brake is not working. Are you getting the red sign on the dash, and a red light at the switch? Something wrong if the Dealership Fitter or Technician is not finding a fault. ? Have you been in the car with them to show them? PS I do not drive manuals with e-Brakes only DSG's but someone with them or that drives them will be along.

Hard brake pedal with the engine off
@akonWelcome. Are you parking and applying the Parking Brake /e-Brake and keeping on until time for it to release. @KenONeill What Transmission lock do you get on Manual Gearbox Skoda's? They are not a Hand Brake if they are an e-Brake, more of a finger brake with the Parking Brakes. The e-Brake is not 'Autohold; or Hill Hold Assist, the e-Brake like a Hand Brake works on rear brakes.

Tyre pressure sticker missing
So a 1.5 TSI / DSG. Best not guess what someone sets your pressures at and then take loved and cherished ones out in your car. Check tyre pressures. Now that you will know what they should be at.

Tyre pressure sticker missing
Important is, when was the TPMS last set. By whom. ?? How long ago even. ... So when the tyres are at the set pressure you want, set the TPMS then occasionally when checking the tyre pressures or adjusting them to suit use you reset the TPMS.

Delivery times?
Only time will tell if the Czech factories and industries can keep getting special treatment in the way of energy and the Energy minister kicking up a stink with the rest of the EU backfires. Just how many cars the VW group can get built and delivered within Europe this coming winter will be anyone's guess and out of the control of the VW group.

Don't overlook the usual stuff
A shake and vac and a clean and disinfect around the filter area is often all that is needed. If the filter is dry. I get annoyed where a filter is just replaced and no cleaning carried out where it is so the stour is just as it was.

Engine overheating warning
UK Max speed limit towing on Motorways & Dual Carriageways is just 60 mph and not that much strain on anything towing an appropriate weight even with temps in the 20's. The 50 mph speed limits can be a PITA. I have never ever used any type of cruise control when towing and never will.

Engine overheating warning
Is the car 5 years old. There might be need for a water pump replacement. With the DSG it might be the coolant regulator / secondary thermostat.. ps totally different subject. Has up the DSG had an oil change at 40,000 miles,?

Tyre Wear - Karoq Sportline 1.5 tsi 2020
Lots of us might call new tyres Green. Fresh. They need run in and the newness off them. Like new cars brakes, engines, gearboxes, suspension. Those demonstrators getting 3,000 miles in 3 months on them to be sold as Ex management cars and fleet cars and lease cars might be driven hard from day one. Some might not suffer and some do. I believe in running in new tyres for a few hundred miles, as I do running in brake pads and discs.

Oil recommendations???
Yes pure coincidence and a turbo at least 5 years old. Or buying the wrong spec maybe by not reading the label.
-
Oil recommendations???
@MicMac a vRS diesel 2010 I read in the op. What was your personal experience with Asda branded oil. ? Which oil producer do you think they get it from? Some dodgy place producing for a multinational retailer. Maybe COMMA. That was ok. Now articles say that since the Issa brothers bought Asda the Asda engine oil is produced by CASTROL. Maybe worth avoiding then!

Oil recommendations???
Yes. No need to pay that much though. Often Super Markets are using it to beat other super markets in a Price Match.

Superb auto estate 4x4 air bag spring assisters.
Lots of thing that are 'Simply Clever' never happen, but they have Ice Scrappers in the Fuel Filler Flap that can freeze closed, but nice fillers for the windscreen wash.
-
Superb auto estate 4x4 air bag spring assisters.
@Carlston Thanks. So we do not know if they will often fit stiffer springs if the car has a factory fitted towbar. We are assuming they might, or may do, or have done, but no idea if they do this often.

Reliability of the 1.2 12v engine.
2012 there was a change of Chain Tensioner with 1.2 TSI from that that were having issues before then. Those from late 2011 early 2012 on can be requiring changing again when people are reporting noisy ones as some people are. When you go to 2015 & Euro 6 ones in mk3 Fabias and they have a cambelt.
-
Oil recommendations???
You want the correct spec, so that is VW 504 00 / 507 00. The TDI needs VW 507 00 for fixed or variable service intervals. (Euro 5 Emissions & Euro 6 until VW changed their recommendation in 2018 for WLTP certification. You do not need or want VW508 00 / 509 00 0w 20 FS IV) So that will be 5w 30 FS III. Who makes it, has the name on the label, ie, Castrol, Shell, Mobile, Asda, Tesco, Comma etc does not really matter.
