  1. I see they are now the official Skoda repairers. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505997-skoda-retailer-inverness
  2. Get it from them. Does the print out not show everything from the system? Are you still using a main dealer to service your car? Get them to print out what they do for the records. Is this the Mk2 vRS? What has been done like the spark plugs being changed, did your car ever get '34H5' done to the DQ200 DSG or was it one that did not need it.? There should be a sticker in the spare tyre well if done.
  3. @Davidr1986 ? When did you last check the oil and did you check it after the last oil service was done? Is that at the top of the hatchings once you have the oil up to operating temp then parked for a few minutes? That should be fine then. 1 litres is not always enough by the time a low oil warning shows as they can be as much as 1.3 litres low. All engine dependent though. What oil did you get, VW508 00 / 509 00 so 0w 20 FS IV or VW 504 00 /507 00? 0w 30 FS III or 5w 30 FS III
  4. You can if there is a record of servicing within the dealership network or someplace that added it online. Someone will be able to tell you how. Easy enough though to ask at a Skoda Main Dealers or Skoda Customer services to give you the record of Servicing, Service Campaign work or warranty work.
  5. Have you actually looked closely to see what is what? ? What wiring are you feeding through?
  6. How much oil did you add? Is it topped up to Area A of the cross hatch when the engine is at operating temperature. When you opened the bonnet even if you had not topped up the Warning Light / Message would normally go out for 60 miles / 100 km. Maybe no longer the case with an IV.
  7. What happens is that in Germany they strongly advise that winter tyres have a minimum 4 mm depth and since they must legally be fitted you really want to be following the advise just incase you are in an accident and the winter tyre tread is less than the 4mm. I have Michelin Alpin 6 on with 25,000 miles covered and no wear, but if they were down to 3 mm by winter they would be replaced as summer tyres they might be OK to 2 mm.
  8. Welcome to the forum.
  9. Welcome. Hopefully someone will be along that has looked at their car. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/458808-firewall-passage
  10. Go online to a seller of paint, or the main dealers. You know your cars reg number and the VIN. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/452774-steel-grey-meteor-grey http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/480122-paint-code-for-meteor-grey
  11. Good. I hope that is Balfield Road and not to the total incompetents down at Dock St. All the best with it,
  12. Is there no Build Sticker in the Spare Tyre Well and no Sticker in the cover of the Owners Manual? If your car is Meteor Grey you will see loads of threads on here about the Paint Code and even recent ones where people had the correct code yet got the paint and it did not match for touching up.
  13. Daughter car & her parents car and just part of a fleet. When money is not an issue you can have whatever you fancy and especially if they are no cost motoring if they sell for more than they cost you when you get yours early.
  14. @colzohHow is it going? Is the car on it's way up to Scotland and which AC will it get delivered to?
  15. What a shame you used K-Seal. Not a good thing. Possibly your Water Pump needs replacing. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/436155-2012-vrs-water-pump-leaking http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/483166-leaking-coolant-and-no-boost
  16. So far the Tesla Y owners i have spoken with have been delighted and that includes the young lady i have bumped into a few times when she is charging while she heads of jogging. (Not dogging.) Her family have 2 new Tesla Y's.
  17. Hard driving them on a road to know if the system is working. You want to see Service Invoices & Receipts. You will need to be looking for the Haldex having been serviced every 3 years / 30,000 miles or sooner and not just as a Skoda Main Dealer might do which is an oil change and not a clean up, filter change or clean up. That is just an extra £100 or a bit more when getting the car serviced anyway. You will want good tyres fitted and changed front to rear every year or sooner. An idea of Servicing recommendations.
  18. http://wolfeden.org/cars/golf-r/haldex.html https://tps.trade/insider/all-systems-go-as-haldex-put-under-the-spotlight Gen 1 is a 90% / 10% split.
  19. Ok. Sometimes it shows as units and a unit being 0.5 lites. Your cars oil is VW 508 00 / 509 00, so 0w 20 fs. Unless they go 0w 30 FS or 5w 30 FS.
  20. @SurreyJohn. Do you mean Super Unleaded so E5 rather than E10 95 Ron.? Sainsbury 97 min or Tesco Momentum 99: can be just 5 pence more expensive than their 95 E10. Always worth trying different places offerings.
  21. ^^^ This. What is the engine and how much oil was charged for at the service and are you checking the oil level when the car is at operating temp, as in the engine oil has been up to 90*oC or so then parked on the flat for a few minutes. Warning messages like low oil, low oil pressure, high oil after the bonnet has been opened for 30 seconds. They can stay off for 60 miles.
  22. @domhnallWhat EV does he drive then, as in battery size and where does he head off from a charge of 45 minutes if he has a low battery on arrival if not on the 100kW charger? 'JOURNEY Chargers' neighbouring the council area with 30 minute max charging time 'Journey chargers'. What are the other type of Rapid chargers if not Journey Chargers? Maybe he needs to see things other peoples way and maybe he is not going to dis what they have decided for there as i imagine he is an employee 'running the hub' on behalf of the council. 45 minutes is certainly better (The same as Highland Region who also charge £1 a minute after 45 minutes) than 30 minutes, but on a 50 kW charger if you only get 33 kWh in then that is that, 100 miles maybe more in the car. That is just enough to get me home without having to charge on the way, but i will charge again before getting home in Perthshire so that i am not without any range, particularly important if there is a road closure or diversions. There is one 50 kW charger after Perth and before Angus on my route and that is at Coupar Angus. Angus has no time limit but you pay to charge, Dundee has a very sensible 70 minutes & a £10 overstay charge. @domhnall90% charged at Straiton and enough to get home without another charge as long as no diversions and not winter. The guy that runs Wallyford might not have to think about only getting 110 miles range and get to Fife and beyond with a smaller battery inefficient EV and other regions charger hubs being unreliable.
  23. Many do have a match spare, plenty here buy 5 All Weather / Winter tyres and have said they do over the years. Some like me might just carry a pair of matching tyres on wheels when on a trip because they are directional tyres. I might even just put the Winters in the car as spares and they can go on if the roads turn bad as they can over just short distances or a few days. Self Seal tyres can be a PITA as far as fixing for some. If they do not self seal. Also far from home and having to buy an odd tyre can be an expense people might not want to do. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497839-spare-wheel
  24. Each to their own. That is how it works in life, you do what suits your circumstances and situations. Some can leave the spare in the garage and if they need it get a taxi to collect it or have someone deliver it to them. It can be 4 days or more without a replacement tyre north of Inverness or various places around Scotland during the festive period. PS The punctured tyre if not wrecked is still a spare because you can put in gunk in if you need to if you have another puncture and then clean it out yourself when the Tyre Fitter says they can not repair it. That is how things actually do work in the real world for some people. But for 99.99% of people they might never give things a 2nd thought about what might never happen to them.
