  1. @ColinD Which car? 50kWh Battery. 100 kW is 136ps (134bhp) (45 kWh usable) Zoe R135 is 100kW 136ps / 134 bhp. http://ev-database.uk/car/1205/Renault-Zoe-ZE50-R135 54.7 kWh battery, 52 kWh usable. Stelantis ones are 100 kW. Pug, Vaux, Citr / DS,
  2. Be sure that it does actually show the DSG had oil changes at 40,000 & 80,000 miles.
  3. They have all been on a Variable / Flexible Service setting from the factory for the EU for over a decade now other than the Citigo while in production that left the factory on Fixed Servicing. http://volkswagen.co.uk/en/owners-and-drivers/servicing/service-plans/service-schedules.html Now the Plug in Hybrids have a Fixed oil Service regime and this can be as low as at 8,000 miles. That link is showing @ 9,000 miles.
  4. When the UK Government and Energy Companies are trying to kid people about renewables they include wood pellets brought into the UK from the US and burned at Drax power stations. Kidology. http://news.sky.com/story/climate-change-draxs-renewable-energy-plant-is-uks-biggest-co2-emitter-analysis-claims-12428130 I do not kid myself i am saving trees, only that i am saving money but somebody else is paying for the electricity i get even if it comes from renewables in Scotland and the National Grid.
  5. If you could have kept going & actually done 102 miles and used just 4.546 litres of petrol that is good. If you have solar or wind to produce the electricity you charged the battery with then you will know it was emission free charging but if from the national grid you have no idea.
  6. Likely Written Off by your Insurance as an Un-economic repair, but it will be bought and repaired and stay on the road by someone that can economically repair it.
  7. @mattfilmguyHow soon did you get told you will be able to grab your new car?
  8. VW Group did a WORLD WIDE Recall, even called a GLOBAL RECALL on DQ200 DSG's by the Media. (New Zealand had only hundreds of cars affected so they all got new Mechatronic Control Units.) In Australia there has been 3 RECALLS all for the same issue as vehicles were missed . It excluded Europe that somehow is not in the World because VW Group said so. 2 years later they decided they had best do something and in the EU & the UK they got away with a Voluntary Service Campaign, Letters did go out, not to every Registered Keeper even though the DVLA gave them, there were cars 'In Trade' as in sitting at Skoda Dealers that never got the Service Campaign action and people that never took cars in, then others that were told it did not affect their car. New Keepers never did get a Letter.
  9. @tonypr Maybe worth a call to the Dealer Principal and ask them if they can maybe make an effort to find out about Software updates. They must have time on their hands as they are not exactly run off their feet selling new Skodas. Maybe they want to buck up their ideas & staff training. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505905-skoda-dealers-last-in-driver-power-2022
  10. @tonyprWhat was the actual job of the person you spoke with. Service Desk / receptionist, Service Manager, Workshop manager, Master Tech? Email them asking a confirmation in writing that there is none for your actual Registration / VIN. Do the same with Skoda UK Customer Services. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/498977-ota-updates
  11. Guest_ replied to Stubod's topic in Skoda Yeti
There will always be a limited amount of the last 2 years of Yeti registered in the UK as they were not sold in great numbers no matter how Skoda UK tried to spin things. They are a car still in demand and if the prices drop then good. Well for buyers, not sellers.
  12. They might call it a RECALL. But it is a Recall Action or a Service Campaign or a Workshop Action if REGISTERED KEEPERS of a Vehicle is not getting notified that the VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED. Regardless of if they use a Dealership for servicing. Only contacting those the Dealership network have contact details for is not enough. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions Safety Critical Recalls are obviously Safety Matters but VW Group can get Authorities to believe they will do a Voluntary Recall.

    @Kobayashiwhat a shame.
  16. Maybe at some point Skoda & VW Group will apologise to customers who spent their money buying vehicles that came with Software not fit for purpose and had to spend their time and money back and fore getting fixes if they ever did without giving up on living. He is off with a smile on his face and loads of money in his financial package.. http://insideevs.com/news/600575/volkswagen-group-fired-diess-because-software-unit-fiasco
  17. There is something wrong with a manual an auto or a semi auto if in Neutral with no brake applied and it does not roll. That is what Neutral is, out of gear.
  18. Changing from Drive to Reverse through N should be done with a foot on the brake obviously. Stop / start can be switched OFF if wanted at some points while on a journey.
  19. ^^^ Good work. The one thing i know is that 'another engine' as mentioned in the OP would be a no no. That would be like buying a lottery ticket and a fully dressed 'Used engine' might be worse than what is in the car which might not have much wrong, and an engine that needed parts swapped over or replaced and the likes of a cam belt changed is costing money anyway.
  20. Maybe what is needed in the UK is to keep Westminster Politicians well away for stuff and agreements can be reached without crossing their palms with silver as they play city off against city. http://insider.co.uk/news/amte-power-selects-dundee-site-27596552
  21. Ps. Some owners leave cars so that when charged the plug can be removed. Tethered chargers. An id3 luckily for me last month as there were 1 hour there after charging stopped and I had no range. Kia Niro has a button at drivers knee to allow unplugging when charged.
  22. I am as well even though I do get called D1ck. George.
  23. Supermarkets and the Rule is no rules in the main and people seem to go by something a friend told a friend. Elsewhere there might be signs, there often is not. It is like the wild west out there. PS. Volvo, Mercedes and old e-golf here now. All have home chargers because I have spoken to them but they like free charging. Fair enough. Stuffs up those actually shopping here and maybe wanting 30 mins on a charger.
  24. No. It is designed to be an automated manual and operate in D when you are braking. Then in manual It will ignore you if you choose a stupid low gear that will break the box. Or some like diesels that will drop too low might try to put you through the windscreen to teach you to be more careful.
  25. While sitting charging I hear on the radio that Dundee has been chosen to build a factory for producing batteries. At the old Michelin tyre factory which is now a centre for technology and where SWARCO are based and CPS head quartered. Ps sitting charging on the local 4 Tesco chargers have 3 hybrids charging that will be here for hours. If an EV pulls up I will vacate this charger. If another hybrid does then tough they are out of luck.
