I spend a fair amount of time sitting charging an EV. So like 1 hour for every 150 miles. Not to waste all my money buying food and drink on the road I take a cool box with stuff in it bought for much cheapness and for toilet needs have a catheter since they have removed bushes around charging hubs.
  2. @Dupont Out of interest because i do not think it is said anyplace, what is your Octavia Estate as in engine / gearbox and what size tyres does it have fitted?
  3. ? How much money do they want for their diagnosis so far? Is the car ready to be driven away?

It does seem to be. I have never kept chocolate or drinks cool in a 'Glove compartment', or gloves or sunglasses or anything else for that mater.
  5. 1 mile from me is a KIA Dealership with salespeople and staff that know the cars, know their business and give a damn about customers and selling and getting return customers. It makes a big difference when staff actually stay in the motor trade for years and do a good job. @cheezemonkhai Maybe they would be getting on better if they were speaking to Kia Europe and they spoke to Korea.
  6. OK. Your op said you took it to a dealer so i assumed a Skoda / VW Approved repairer. So it is at a garage. Your fuel certainly should be good, you are in the EU and the fuel is imported just as for everyplace else. You do need the car to someone that knows your actual type of engine.
  7. http://reportsanddata.com/blog/top-10-electric-vehicle-manufacturers Starts at £38,480 now. The 80 from £42,435. Not that much love going on from him. Just a Family car or even those without a family or friends or passengers that need to be driving about in big cars. Corners that need getting around in the UK come within a NSL so every car in the UK does that safe enough if the road surface is in the right condition.
  8. There certainly is a demand, but then even when Skoda are at maximum production they build less than 1.1 million vehicles world wide so no matter how many EV's they produce the demand will outstrip supply. There are only Enyaqs in 2 flavours on offer and no Citigo iV's for the UK. They need to be getting on with a smaller vehicle offering because seemingly when Euro 7 emissions come in a Fabia sized ICE vehicle would cost £5,000 more than now and the Mk4 Fabia is not cheap currently. Demand is outstripping supply on them as well. http://skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-releases/skoda-auto-exceeds-european-co2-fleet-target http://carscoops.com/2021/10/skoda-fabia-combi-reportedly-canceled-due-to-strict-emission-regulations
  9. How many km has your car done? When was it last serviced & by who? What is actually wrong with the car? Well what are they actually saying other than possible nonsense. Really poor quality diesel! Do you buy it from some farm or filling stations? ? Is it maybe Diesel in the Oil because of issues with Regens? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505743-oil-level-is-this-possible
  10. Always sensible to check that if you have to change wheel you have the tools and get undo the bolts.
  11. Do you not have plastic covers over the bolts and the security bolt that you will remove using the tweezers?
  12. ****s in Silver Audi Estates coming towards you on your side of the road as well i would expect..
  13. It is. They are cars that get ICE or EV power trains. More efficient as an ICE. Happiest when the ambient temp is 18*oC.
  14. Guest_ replied to Stubod's topic in Skoda Yeti
Can anyone that has parted with their Yeti recently maybe say where it is now for sale if it was a good one?
  15. That is the gamble with used cars. Not even a Full Service Record is a guarantee of all work done as it should be. Buying from an enthusiast with all the invoices and receipts is nice but rare now. A wanted ad in a forum like BRISKODA might find you such a car, or sometimes people tell on the forum where their traded in car is now for sale. EDIT, @shillingI made a post in the Yeti section asking if anyone that has moved on their Yeti could say who is selling it if a good one.
  16. Buy and get the Warranty but do not pay for their offer of an extended warranty and then budget in the £350 to have the DSG service done and the Haldex for peace of mind. Not MotorPoint sellimg it is it?
  17. It will be a DQ250. Up to the Dealership to confirm the DSG & the Haldex has actually has been serviced as per manufacturers recommendation / schedule or guidelines. If they have no proof then easy enough for them to do it. They need to show it as done and not just 'its had a full service'. They should know who and where done and if it was them then fine.
  18. Interested to see how he gets on when the next vid comes out.
  19. Have a nice time.
  20. Those with minimum incomes are in big trouble and those comfortably off will just have to suffer a bit and cut back on stuff if needs must. No point crying over spilt milk or not affording milk if still able to save and invest for your older age. Some that saved for their old age might just have to dip into that money and not expect to pass it on to their family
  21. ^^^ If the Price Cap rises above £3,000 as i heard it. So that is when people would be paying more than £8.21 a day for their home electric and gas.. **People can gather their family or friends or just anyone that needs heat into their EV over peak times or where there is free charging and help keep them warm.** Obviously since this in May 2022 things have got worse.
  22. Probability of having to fit is neither here nor there. When the must be carried and if they do need to go on then you need to be able to fit them and it helps if they go on easier rather than are a faf, then the car must be able to drive without any issues as the chains are possibly getting snow / ice on them and so are the inner arches.
  23. For starters. Time will tell. A Concept that seemingly is almost no longer a Concept.
  24. Do not take out a poorly serviced caravan or one not checked including brakes and the tyres, tyres condition including the tyre wall you do not easily see but will when the wheels are off when checking the brakes. Be sure to have the tyre pressure on the trailer / caravan correct. Take care of all advice from anyone. Under inflated is an issue, over inflated can be an issue. You want to know the steering feels right, that the outfit feels stable, it is not about 'comfort'. check tyres are not over heating. Get the pressures right. that means having a good tyre pressure gauge and a means of inflating tyres. Know your cars weight loaded and what you are towing weight loaded. Know the nose weight. Know how to load the van. Take the outfit to the local weigh bridge, that is what they are there for. http://protyre.co.uk/car-help-advice/driving-tips/tyre-pressures-for-towing-a-caravan
