  1. The Engine Cover Safety Recall and missing covers on new cars is about 2.0 TSI's, nothing to do with TDI's.
  2. Car Inspection / Bodywork. That is the Paint & Corrosion checks that Skoda UK say you had not done & there is no record of when they knock back a Warranty Claim even though you have a FMDSH. That is because they did away with Service Books with the Body Inspection pages. http://theguardian.com/money/2022/jul/13/why-didnt-skoda-make-its-fabia-warranty-terms-clear Visually check belts. Tick. Adjust? Final Drive, Not Haldex, but do they do Diffs? Gearbox oil. ? Wheels off, good they can change front to rear if you want. (Hinges, well that was always the job to show you had done something, make sure you leave white grease visible. ) Door mechanism., WD 40 is that?
  3. The Manufacturers Recommendation / Guidelines is the Brake Fluid changed at 3 years and then each 2 years so the 2nd Brake Fluid change is due. Maybe the first was not done. An Independent might well use a Brake Fluid Tester and see if there is H20 and the Fluid needs changing. Good idea to have it done, but then a good idea to have the brakes serviced pre or post winter as well. Independents might do that, Main Dealers do not unless paid, they say with Extended Scope the wheels come off. Maybe some do take them off, but then what do they do, LOOK.
  4. This year have it set to variable / flexible servicing so 18,000-20,000 miles / 24 months then you get it serviced annually or when ever you want. They are putting it on fixed so 365-372 days / 9,4000 miles. No need to have it set at that, it gets Long Life oil at the service. PS All about the visual checks, ticking boxes. Did you pay a crazy £35 for a Pollen Filter & £70 for a fuel filter?
  5. The Haldex Service is @ 3 years / 30,000 miles or sooner as far as Skoda / VW are concerned and not at 40,000 miles which is what it used to be until VW changed to 30,000 and sometime later Skoda did. Even that can be too many miles. If a car has a FMDSH / Full Main Dealer Service History and the Haldex was not serviced at 3 years / 30,000 miles then it is a history of not being serviced to manufacturers recommendations, guidelines or even specification. If it is a Skoda Approved Used car and not serviced as it should have been then they know it but gave it a Warranty.
  6. If you want an Oil & Filter service annually or between Variable / Flexible services then get that. If you want to change a Pollen filter yourself for under £20 then do that. If you want the Brake Fluid tested for H20 then get that and do not change it @ 3 year then each 2. If you want Servicing & Maintenance and brakes serviced then maybe find a good Independent.
  7. Just spend the money and get the DSG service first and see that all is well before doing anything more. Then when the box works as it should fill your boots.
  8. PS If it does need a new Turbo and the warranty is covering it then if they approve just an acctuator if there is just an accuator maybe do not accept that. If you are paying they would likely tell you it is a New Turbo required and they can not just change an accuator. Anyways, it needs diagnosed.
  9. A Car into a Skoda Main Dealer for servicing should be getting and Service Campaign work , TPI's or Update Enhancements carried out as part of that service. That is why you might use a Main Dealer and pay them the money they charge including the £215 or so to service a DSG.
  10. Welcome. It is going to be a copy where ever you get it unless you are paying lots. Best be aware of delivery if from the EU. Best talk with whoever is the seller, get good pictures and be very sure of the sellers. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484365-body-mods http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/457150-mk3-fabia-r5-rally-rear-spoiler http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/444935-r5-wrap-on-fabia-mk3
  11. If the Master Tech supports a Warranty Claim you stand pretty well in having the Warranty Claim approved. Your Manufacturers Warranty T& C's covers the Servicing and what is needed, so be genned up on that and have your proof of servicing to the Manufacturers Guidelines and now they say Specification. Spark Plugs are not Specified at 40,000 miles, they are recommended but many Skoda Approved used cars will not have had the Spark Plugs changed at 40,000 miles. **If your car has not been at a Main Dealers for servicing are you sure there were no Recall Actions / Service Campaigns which your car missed out on as they are required to be carried out to keep a Warranty Valid. or so they say.** SKODA_Warranty_Terms_November_2021.pdf
  12. Never heard of a front wheel drive Karoq 1.5 TSI DSG having other than a DQ200. Where you told it would have a DQ381? No difference to you is there other than not having to pay for an oil change if you still have it at 80,000 miles.
  13. Are you filling to MAX then it is dropping to MIN or going below MIN? Do not fill to MAX as not necessary if it finds it's own level and stays there. It sounds like you will have to do something sooner rather than later if you do have a drop in Coolant again.
  14. It must be a Pre-Production model. 68kWh battery, USABLE. x 2.5 miles = 170 miles. WLTP says up to 196 miles from 100% battery. We will see hopefully when someone loads it and drives it on a colder / windy day. They might have to do lots of apologies for being a bit late.
  15. 78 used or new Enyaq for sale just on Autotrader and the Demonstrators are not available until they have done 3,000 miles / 3 months or the Dealers will not be benefiting from the lovely tax break that UK tax payers fund and get a nice profit for Dealers / VW Group. (But then obviously tax is paid on profits, but that is easily manipulated.) Selling like hot cakes, huge demand, huge spin and watching residuals. @SurreyJohnVW UK can not fail to meet the C02 average or they will be fined on every vehicle. Anything coming in the has low emissions is getting first registered. Nothing is sitting waiting just incase production grinds to a halt and models do not come in with 5 months of this year to go. BEV, PHEV & Mild Hybrid battery shortages for the VW Group and the partners (Pooling) they have to get UK fleet figures low is an issue for them on how many higher emission vehicles can be First Registered, or is that Delivered or even sold. http://riskandcompliance.freshfields.com/post/102h5t3/changing-lanes-uk-co2-emissions-pooling-post-brexit
  16. UK sales. As usual that is VW UK that bought them in lots of cases, there are Demonstrators and Management cars and out to special customers on lease that took models that the general public never ordered or bought. These are now Used cars up for sale. Look at demand outstripping supply yet very expensive Enyaq and other Skoda models are sitting waiting for buyers. Skoda / VW UK are first registering cars as they need to to ensure the Average CO2 figures to save being fined. 'delivered to customers'. That is Dealerships and not necessarily the general buying public. First Registrations is what matters in a quarter, in a 6 month period, in a year.
  17. @4 minutes 50 seconds, that is a lot of open ended spaces for mud / h20 / salt getting into. Are they designed to just be rust buckets from new?
  18. Guest_ replied to chopper85's topic in Skoda Enyaq
Skoda UK Main Dealership management should know about stuff, Skoda car stuff, and make sure their staff that deal with customers / owners know and can communicate verbally the information. Not over air, out of their mouths. 'Simply clever' stuff. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505928-no-software-update
  19. @Carlstoncan probably tell who has what and where and for how much.
  20. Get that estimate properly costed because a 'VW replacement engine' from Skoda / VW which is a refurbished 'Base engine' is not £6,000 including VAT and even if they spend 15 hours labour @ £115 plus VAT you are not at £10,000. They do not even charge that to themselves when doing Warranty Work for VW Warranties or any Warranty provider.
  21. I have twice charged at PodPoints at Lidl and they were in car parks that said there was a 2 hour parking limit. No issue as i was under an hour on the charger. People need to be aware of where they go though if charging.
  22. PS Have the brakes been serviced? Not binding a bit! http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/479681-squeaking-sound-after-a-while-driving
  23. ? What oil has the engine been given at the Oil & filter change? Lots of parts of which some are consumables to get a bit more MPG. But then spark plugs do need changing periodically. As do Air & Fuel filters. Not likely to be of any matter to the consumption but i take it the tiptronic gearbox has never had an oil change. The 1.6 petrol has never been that fuel efficient. Were the tyre changed at any point maybe giving a different indication of fuel use? What petrol is used is it 95 ron E5 or E10? In which country? http://parkers.co.uk/skoda/roomster/hatchback-2006/16-16v-se-5d-tiptronic/specs
  24. ? How many miles has your car done? What servicing is up to date, Minor and Major services? Do you have any record of the Spark Plugs being changed or the brake fluid changed? This is a record taken off the system.
  25. The Indy will need to have licensed equipment to update service records. I am a bit confused as there nothing to keep up on unless your car is getting work done and somebody inputs onto the system. What are you gong to keep updated on? ? Has your car had the brake fluid changed or tested for H20? Have you been changing the pollen filter or checked it, or the air filter?
