  1. Nor when stationary and in D or S and autohold is activated and functioning and the engine is still running.
  2. You will have to be sure that the Servicing has been done as required and that will include the DSG servicing if at 40,000 miles. Maybe doing 10,000 miles a year you would best stick with a TSI. Have fun trying to see what you like.
  3. Welcome. How many miles have the ones you are looking at done, and how many miles a year will you be doing? Reliability should be much the same for a couple of hundred thousand miles with the correct servicing. Servicing costs will be pretty similar and it is fuel costs that will be different. What are you looking at Manuals or DSG,s?
  4. Not going to affect those that do not charge PHEV's at Charging hubs but at home. The home tariffs might go up and the free charging on 7kW chargers at supermarkets might start costing money, but then 7kW charging is as much as PHEV's need.
  5. The thing is that they could not really have been making much of a profit on them and the prices were becoming stupid but then the UK Government were very much involved in allowing that to happen by handing out tax payers money to have them costing what they did while throwing money the way of the car industry.
  6. If you ask for the temperature to be hot in the car is it still putting out cold air with the fan on?
  7. Is AC actually coming on with a light showing or is there just cooling because you have Climate Control and a temperature set in the car. What is the Temp set at in the car and what is the temperature outside? If not a Skoda garage then i would thing a VW Independent that knows the cars. You will need a diagnosis and a repair / regas or whatever if there is some fault.
  8. Good info. IMO. Scottish summer warm not rainy / windy. Full car so real world. Stirling Castle View Park & ride is still a Free to use charging hub. Only 4 50kW chargers though. Plenty 7 & 22 chargers though.
  9. Being a Taxi that is just part of the running costs. Use money saved on unnecessary oil services. I would not be changing the oil every 10 weeks or so at 6,000-7,000 miles and just using 5w 30 FS III and maybe changing it every 20 weeks.
  10. You get mobile chargers, that is the 7 or 11 kW AC built into the car. A 3 pin charger is actually not a charger just a way to provide power to the charger.
  11. What a total p!ss take if you get all the standard features with the not inexpensive car but you have to pay extra to get a AC Type 2 charging cable incase you need to use a public charger without a tethered cable. That is if Kia are not going to include those with new cars. Looks like he can not control the car in corners and if he was not on a one way road / track he could not stay on his own side of the road which is true of many quick cars and wide ones and heavy ones that really need lane assist out on UK roads because they are crap on 60 mph NSL roads taking corners if driven at 60 mph.
  12. The Car Manufacturers are not building cars without a charging port. If the Importer & franchised Dealers are not including a AC charging cable then that is not the Manufacturer that is a Retailer.
  13. @AnnoyingPentiummight be that very person.
  14. It can be an error made by many thinking that a Skoda / VW Group Approved Used Car with a Full Main Dealer Service History has been serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Guidelines or even schedule or specifications because only too often they are not. Not the Haldex, (The VAQ on cars with that) the DSG the Cambelt or the Brake Fluid. So with a FMDSH what you want is to know that stuff was actually done when it should of been and the OP might already have come across where that is not the case.
  15. Best deal with Skoda Ireland rather than Skoda UK.
  16. @cheezemonkhaiI purchased a 3 pin lead as invaluable for pre-heating in winter and having a full battery for the coldest weather for me to get enough range before the next charge. A Type 2 cable is something i use every day that i am getting free charges and where there are those that go on a tethered AC charger rather than bother getting out their own cable can inconvenience those that need on a tethered AC. ? I had a look with a google about EV6 charging cables, i see other world regions, Are they really not going to supply a AC Type 2 cable in the UK with a new car?
  17. The door ding is a £150 repair max. When somebody gets shot of a rough or troublesome car to WBAC, AC, Evans Halshaw etc etc it then goes on sale at £1,500-£2,500 more looking lovely. Still the same possibly poorly serviced vehicle with issues that need addressed and money spending to have a good car. Sometimes buying the car as is and budgeting in the Major Servicing and replacement parts and some bodywork / valeting is where the best deal is. As traders do, add a premium.
  18. People in the UK might well have winter wheels / tyres and virtually never drive in snow, go to the mountains or ski resorts and never fit snow chains or snow socks. The threads are running all year now not just the old way of starting about September. Odd that people that do go skiing or to mountains and are required to carry snow chains seem to be bothered about having to have suitable wheels / tyres.
  19. Moving the shifter back from D to S just has it holding the gears longer before shifting up. When off the accelerator moving the shifter back from D to S is good for dropping a gear or 2 and decelerating without using the brakes or shifting down with paddles or moving the shifter across to manual. Especially so with the less powerful engines with a DQ200 DSG. Great on icy / winter roads maybe in town.
  20. You at least see how the car is and how used unlike once a car has had the Kerb Side Auto steam clean and tyre wall shine added and looks great but all that glitters is not gold. Full servicing record with the invoices and receipts is what matters as anyone can joey up a car like ones that go through an auction and get prepped for a dealer.
  21. I can understand an EV not coming with a 3 pin charger cable as standard, but without a Type 2 cable with the car would be ridiculous. ? Who has said this would be the situation?
  22. @ColinD So you want one that can charge at 120kW
  23. @shillingsorry i just posted it on here at the time rather than start a new thread. You can post a wanted ad in the classified on the forum. Or maybe just post on this thread here saying you are looking for one. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505431-bye-bye-yeti
  24. Not sure what the salesperson is telling you, but then i doubt they know. Skoda Enyaq 60 132 kW / 177 bhp A MINI Electric is 135 kW (181 bhp) but the battery usable is under 30Kwh. MG5 Estate Long Range. 61.1 kWh battery & 115kW (154 bhp)
