  1. @Italianoxx Welcome to the forum. Maybe worth posting in the Fabia Mk2 section with the question.
  2. Is it the correct NEW Looking engine oil? Not somebody maybe wrongly used 0w 20 FS IV VW508 00 / 509 00 I would get 5w 40 FS oil in the car. Not Long Life Oil and to VW502 00 which is fine for fixed service regimes. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484899-roomster-2014-12-tsi-cbzb-engine---cam-chain-wear-measurement
  3. Best go to a VW Specialist and let them diagnose your vehicle rather than those reading your post making guesses. Find out what they think it sounds like. ? How many miles on the car, when did the noise first appear to concern you? Is it on start up when cold or still there on tick over when the oil is up to temperature? ? When was the last oil change and do you have in VW504 00 / 507 00 so 5w 30 FS III (Long life oil) EDIT. I see your previous post now. 40,000 miles. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505342-roomster-12-tsi-tappet-noise PS Have your spark plugs been replaced yet? Separate issue.
  4. @GTTUNERZ Welcome to the forum. This project by @thomasaspinmight interest you. He started out with a 1.4 TSI Twincharger with DQ200 DSG, http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/478545-fabia-vrs-the-red-baron/page/3
  5. How it used to be when it was Servicing & Maintenance and fixed prices. Sadly not made clear by every Dealership or Service Department to paying customer. It still did not guarantee that by paying the higher priced services that the parts were actually changed, they could take the money and decide no Spark Plugs this time or Air Filter that will be in another 2 years but we take the fixed price anyway.
  6. Get the MOT carried out in the 4 weeks before the Warranty & MOT expires. Any issues that might happen to be a possible warranty job could then go to a Skoda Main Dealers / Approved Repairer to be checked. The actual specification for a 2019 1.5 TSI was VW508 00 / 509 00 so 0w 20 FS IV. But you are fine with the VW 504 00 / 507 00 5w 30 FS III which was the spec previously pre WLTP approvals. A Independent with Licensed equipment can have access to the System, TPIs, Recall Actions, Software Updates etc. So you ask the Independent if they have. a VW Group Specialist usually with ex VW Group trained technicians, master techs etc. ? What is a full service? They were called Minor, Interim & Major if on a Fixed Service Regime and the 2nd year service was the same as a minor other than the pollen filter. Variable, Major Major) An Interim Service at 1 year or 2 yeaes was fine and year 2 might be called a Major or Full Service by staff at a dealers it is a Oil & Inspection service now, year 1 and year 2 and Extended Scope @ 3 years then each 2 sometimes. It was the 4th Service that was supposed to be a Major. Things like Brake Fluid, Pollen, Air Filter, Spark Plugs are all charged as extras.
  7. Stellantis have supposedly improved range from the 50 kW but 45 kW usable batteries like in my Corsa which is just like the e-208, Citroen / DS and what ever they do with the platform. Plenty get far better efficiency than me, or write / post / say they do in reviews and blogs. 100 kWh charging. Never seen that yet on any 100kW-350 kW charger i have tried to get on. Autoexpress review on the one i would like, but only if it had a 75 kWh battery. (The Stalantis Vans get a 50 or 75 kWh battery.) http://autoexpress.co.uk/citroen/berlingo/357952/citroen-e-berlingo-long-term-test-review van http://autoexpress.co.uk/citroen/dispatch/358381/citroen-e-dispatch-long-term-test-review
  8. Sometimes with the passage of time it becomes apparent that there were some really good cars that were under-appreciated and they are worth getting, this is happening with EV's as it has with ICE vehicles. Sometimes it is too late as others have sussed how good so there are not cheap to get. The 28kW battery Ioniq is like that, also BMW i3's & especially range extender ones, Mii electrics (also some Citigo iV without charging issues or e-Up's) & Renault Zoe's are pretty much a sure thing as a car worth having as a keeper IMO.
  9. The changes with generation / evolution of tyres and tread depths for different applications and even world regions is something that is not discussed that often. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/473898-tyre-tread-depth-changed http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/493035-at-what-tread-depth-do-you-change-tyres
  10. I hope it was a sizable contribution and not then paying part of a hiked up bill when the total cost of parts and labour should have been paid. They like gesture contributions and like offering those because people tend to accept rather than get the issue resolved free of charge. No doubt they have never seen the issue before.
  11. @Elson If the car has a FMDSH then what is important is that the actual history is of the Servicing to the manufacturers recommendations. Not just showing that a Dealership had the car in for services but might not have carried out stuff due because an owner did not want to pay for it and the Dealer did not want to do it to a Skoda Approved Used car even though due or outstanding. The fact many just change oil and not do proper servicing / cleaning of filters or replacement is something Skoda / VW are well aware off, as are Dealerships who will be able to say that is not required. 36172_SKODA_Approved_Used_Warranty_Dec20_SINGLES.pdf
  12. Not relevant to those that do not cram the boot / rear of stuff when on trips, but if you have to remove everything and fit the spare then the wheel tyre that comes off has to go someplace. If not into the spare tyre well until it is fixed then stuff might need put in there and the wheel left on top of the boot floor.
  13. It could be for diesel. Maybe had it's tanks filled more recently and got the fuel cheaper.
  14. How would you know unless looking in shop windows at the cars reflection & able to see both the front and rear simultaneously.
  15. @rapidnick Welcome. ? Who is the 'we', do you work for some tuner / garage? I am a little confused by what you say about the Dealer having not updated the DSG or that there was an ECU revision. Dealership do not usually check a car or return the ECU to a Factory Setting, they might even sell one that has a Remap on it and the new owner is unaware, the steering, brake assist, XDS / XDS+ can be as it was reset to and the new owners is unaware. ? Was there some DQ200 DSG update other than '34H7' which was introduced on some DQ200's 2013-2015 as a preventative measure, & what was the Revision for the ECU with a 2014 1.4 TSI? ? Are there TPI's covering these that Skoda / VW Group Main Dealerships might just be ignoring?
  16. So much the better. Their business is selling cars and if they have not got mechanics capable of making the car merchantable quality then they need someone else to fix it. The issue is if you went and had the re-gassing done yourself and you really should have been vack to them if a very recent purchase.
  17. @ElsonThe Haldex Service is due at 3 years / 30,000 miles or sooner, was it done before you collected the car?
  18. @UrbanPanzer@Mickmartinor @thomasaspinmight be able to advise if they see this.
  19. I see that from your other post. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/479385-fault-code-p10ad00-help Where did it come from, what make, who fitted it?
  20. Welcome. Sorry for been daft but has the car had the new water pump or is it just booked in for getting fitted? Do not accelerate with it until you get the car fixed if not done. I did 1,100 miles including the North Coast 500 with the Turbo disabled while waiting to get a new WP. Great MPG at 60 MPH. PS Do you also have a Octavia vRS 2.0 tfsi?
  21. I would not want to own any of the current newest models of EV's in 5 years time or be counting on good residuals on them. There is better coming to the UK in the next couple of years just as long as shortages of materials globally improves.
  22. Use Registration Number of a similar car advertised for sale at a Main Dealers on Autotrader or their website. A DSG Service with ones that are required are not up to £260 yet, and as it is the DQ200 7 speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG does not need oil changes. As for Skoda Customer Services, well what they do not know is lots, but then what they offer is a great customer service but only as far as they are concerned.
  23. @luciano2378 Where are you in the UK because somebody here can maybe tell you where to find a competent mechanic that will actually fix your car and not just take your money
  24. Welcome. Not much done in the first 2 years. Oil & Filter Inspection Service & a Pollen Filter year 2. There is not that much servicing involved in the 5 years so is everything actually covered in a plan. Brake Fluid changes, pollen, air filters spark plugs? No DSG Servicing to do. The Salesperson needs to work for their commission so have them get all the info. The Extended Warranty is going to be well worth getting for a keeper. That will need done before the car is First Registered. http://skoda.co.uk/owners/bespoke-plans http://skoda.co.uk/owners/service-plan
