  1. For years i have got my Waterproof Seat covers from Rhino UK. Not that tight fits but good quality & Air Bag compatible. Ones bought for 1 model of car have lasted me to use on others cars. I think i might have had just bought 5 sets as ones have been kept and used again and some left on when the car moved on. Boot liners as well bought a couple of times.
  2. Ta ra, but @lol-lol is on here and has a Scenic.
  3. Sadly only too common if you do a keyword search for this forum or any on the internet.
  4. The OP is in Israel. Just saying for anyone else looking and wondering what the 'Selection' spec is.
  5. 2 1/2 years since the thread started. £20,000 back then. Really VW stretch out these things and really another year to delivery. Truth is probably the are still not able to get Type Approval and just show the damn cars properly. Can they really build and make a profit and dealers make money, or are the dealers just something else that are getting the chop?
  6. Amazing price for a Hyundai Inster with them giving a £3,750 grant, or reducing the price by that. (not a UK Band 1 grant.) Then another £500 off. Well, Just tell the price to pay and stop playing numbers IMO. & maybe make the APR very very clear for those buying on tick. Clear enough here. With Renault and Alpine i was have to check re-check and re-check. At one point i almost Reserved a NEW Alpine A290 GTS then i spotted the 50 / 50 on the first payment.
  7. ^^^ That is Hyundai,s Grant or reduced price of £3,750. Not the UK Government grant as it is not a Band 1 EV. Money off, or not to pay is all the same, and maybe better not from the Tax Payers and from Manufacturers that were pricing EV,s too high.
  8. @911hillclimber If checking cold & think that is all in the sump then great. Your theory is OK. So now maybe check as the Manufacturer recommends, shows, and compare. Then you will know where it should be cold before trips. BY HAVING THE CORRECT OIL LEVEL WHEN AT OPERATING TEMPERATURE SINCE THAT IS HOW AN ENGINE DRIVES. NOT SITTING UNSTARTED & COLD. Only 1.2 44 kW petrols with only 2.8 litre capacity are to be checked cold.
  9. Skoda UK cars had Castrol as the recommended oil, free bottles in car. Dealers used Castrol or Quantum. Now no mater, Mobile, Shell, Tesco, Asda, Comma etc etc, but need to be to the Spec, some will say, on the APPROVED LIST. Now Quantum is from Fuchs Oils and TPS supplies and Dealerships use it. The imported bit is VW Approved to VW504 00 / 507 00, & 0w 30 FS III, Long life and can be used Fixed or Variable servicing. VW502 00, so 0w 40 FS (not long life) can be used for fixed. But they do not tell you that.
  10. Needing oil after 4,000 miles in a TSI be it highly tuned or not is not unusual. Fill to Area A, which is above the cross hatch as shown in a Owners Manual.. That level when at operating temperature. Is that the level dipped with cold oil before the engine started, or as the oil needs checked after that. @ normal operating temperature after a few minutes. (4 or 5 minutes is a few.) Skoda Dealers might well have used Quantum by Fuchs oil. Likely VW 508 00 / 509 00, so 0w 20 FS IV, is there no sticker under the bonnet. Ask them if they did, or do they use 0w 30 FS III, VW504 00 / 507 00
  11. When needed if needed. I have a shed full of various take off all season tyres and new ones but they are all in lower profile 17 or 18". This year not blowing money if i do not need to. Last winter i did less than 1,000 miles on any roads with snow and there was not very wintry weather. Usually i have a 4x4 but not this winter.
  12. @wyx087 I have not driven it as it was waiting on brake and suspension parts but i had one for a few days when new and got 180 miles without trying & it was cold at the time. I tried a local Taxi firms Long Range and it was not as efficient and they had poor efficiency with it and so did i. No remote pre heat or App, but i will be using the MINI in winter anyway locally. No rush to fit the All season tyres as there are pretty new Maxxis fitted and big rain coming so i have a distance to do this weekend and i will see what it is like for traction and efficiency on them. I always go straight to All Seasons with cars but this time i will be sure of what i want to fit. Self Seal i think, and maybe a spare wheel & tools since i will be going further North more with this car.
  13. @ZJZ That is exactly the size i need. I collect the car tonight so will have a few days running it in pretty rainy weather and seeing how the car is foe efficiency and range on the Maxxis tyres it is wearing which are pretty new. No rush to put the All Seasons on as my MINI is perfect in the snow, but i can have them just now at a pretty good price, but i get trade price fitted at ATS Euromaster (Michelin own them as they do Black Circles) and CrossClimate 2,s at a very good price if i pay for them now.
  14. I think i will put a set of these on the MG5 EV (Estate) i have got after giving the tyres that are on a bit of a try to see how the efficiency / range is before the weather gets cold / wintry. (No spare wheel / tyres) but i might get one. these are Self Seal.)
  15. @ZJZ The Michelin Primacy 4 were rubbish were they not in anything other than warm or dry roads? Maybe drop the new tyres by a couple of PSI and give them a chance. You will be driving on far safer tyres as the winter comes in and temperatures drop and roads are wet or wet and cold IMO. I am considering exactly the tyres you have for the MG5 EV i just got, or maybe Good Year Vector 4 Gen 3. On my Corsa Electric the Primacy 4 were replaced with Michelin Alpin 6. On my MINI Electric i have on Maxxis AP3,s in 16" and on 17" rims i have Vredstein Quatrac Pro,s. All the All Seasons i fit are higher Load / Speed rating than OEM & XL (reinforced) and make no negative difference in comfort over OEM, if anything improve comfort. ................ I will be using the MG5 EV (Estate) without a spare wheel or wheels as i need all the space in the rear. (The self seal Continentals i had on my Seat Alhambra were ok, but then i fitted All Seasons and added a Spare wheel.)
  16. Taxed & tested and just waiting to put the personal plates on. Insured from tomorrow on my Reg number. It is not a Long Range i have.
  17. You will only know if perfect match when you get them. ? What Colour, what Paint Code. Are the doors really bad, or is the £1,000 quote from someone that really did not want the job? Maybe put up pictures.
  18. Just check if Outstanding or not. If done probably not showing outstanding. The Airflow device is simple enough to check to see if fitted. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-campaigns
  19. @vicosh I was not being serious. At least your car has not sat for months or a year outside on the tyres fitted on the production line like ones bunkered when they had not got the WLTP certification so could not be imported to the UK, or as during covid when many sat going no place for a long time even once into the UK.
  20. Have you had any Blocked DPF light or are you aware of frequents regens? Do you actually know if the DPF is still intact and has not been stripped and mapped out. Since 2017 was the car given the FIX for the VW cheating, so the new Engine Management and a flow device put in the air intake.
  21. When was the engine block cast, or the brake calipers?
  22. If watching any of the many Youtube Videos on how to prepare and paint do not help you with what is needed & have you wanting to try then go to a professional.
  23. They are made in a tyre factory and then distributed to VW Group / Skoda . They are not baked just in time for fitting.
  24. @thomasaspin is the person with experience of putting 2 litre engines into Mk 2 Fabias.
