Juddering when parked and when accelerating
I think that anyone expects the Man or Woman in a Van or whatever vehicle that comes to do a Remap knows the most basic stuff and gives advice on Spark Plugs before doing what they are there to do. Even tuners in buildings might do Remaps on cars and not look in the Air box or check Spark Plugs. Or spark Plugs are checked replaced and the Coils are damaged while doing them. This is why a car should be well serviced and running OK and checked for fault codes having been run before then going on a dyno before and then after a remap. But then that is just my opinion.

Front Assist is unreliable
The reason 'TCS Enabled' might be mentioned is because some might 'disable TCS' as when suggested in the owners manual. That is getting unstuck in Snow or when Snow Chains are fitted. That is if they are using TCS as it always was, Traction Control, ASR Anti Slip Regulation, and using the XDS / XDS+ as has been for a good few years now and nipping a front brake on a spinning wheel.

Juddering when parked and when accelerating
An Engine Management light / Exhaust Management light can be a Brain Fart of the car / ECU. There can be a misfire, there can be a fuel issue, there can be an many issues including the car sitting ticking over too long and then a bit of sooting up, over fueling or under fueling, it can be a ca sitting in the sun and the under bonnet / airbox getting hot and the ar starting. Arnold Clark Techs are the ones that can have a car infront of them and be clueless unless the machine tells them exactly what is wrong. So any websites or help generalising is not much cope IMO & IME. Skoda have always shown the Spark Plug replacement as @ the 2nd Major Service, so @ 4 years / 40,000 miles even though people had 4 year / 40,000 mile services and paid £269 or later £279, then £289 an might not of got them changed. Paid the same price though. (VW did 2nd major Services @ £305 and did change Air Filter & Spark Plugs and did not just charge for them and not change or even check if the Fitter / Tech decided not to bother.) Some Staff would say they were not due until 65,000 miles because 'they are special long life plugs' Extra Expensive. They just say any old crap. (They can be fine long after 4 years / 40,000 miles, but then if not and one or more is in the way out you car end up needing a coil or coils, so you check.) So now Skoda show SPARK PLUGS again in the new regime as still @ 4 years / 40,000 miles. That is a recommendation. THEY SHOW THE AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT AT 6 YEARS / 60,000 MILES. That is just mental if the Air Filter is not just getting inspected at each service. Common sense before remaps is you check the spark plugs ans since removing ignition coils ans plugs you change them. You usually change the plugs ans air filter pre 'Remap' and run the car and feel all is well first.....

Anyone fitted 19" all weather tyres on their Karoq?

Anyone fitted 19" all weather tyres on their Karoq?
@vegit8 Skoda did show as a choice & OEM fitment at one point All Season tyres on Octavias & Superbs in the UK according to the configurator / brochure. The posts on here were about getting 'All Weather tyres', with a Superb Mk3 SEL Greenline estate' as a member thought the car would arrive with. 'All-weather tyres 205/50 R17 89H (NAR) 17" Drakon alloy wheels.' They turned out not to be All Weather Tyres and were not '3 peak' / 3pMSF so they would not have been legal if you had been going to any region of Europe that required 'Winter tyres'.

Juddering when parked and when accelerating
You shelled out on a remap and on a 'Performance filter'. It is then sometimes the case you have to shell out on finding out why there can be an issue because you changed from the Manufacturers Engine Management. I have no issue with Remaps, but i had with REVO that did a crap mappjng for 1.4 TSI / TFSI Twinchargers, and also the one SuperChips did, yet some swore by it and them.

Kamiq torque steer?
The simple fix can be to be sure the tyres are not over inflated , then that the tyres really suit the car, conditions and way the car is driven because the OEM that the cars comes with might not.

Buying a Superb
@Akabozonie Welcome. What is the deal, as in how much is the car, from a private seller, or a trader pretending to be one or selling on behalf of a customer? If a trader or dealer what Warranty or any are you getting, just a 'car fit for purpose / consumer rights'. / 3 months warranty. ??? Who has been servicing the car in the past couple or 3 years and where has it been getting MOT'd. ? What does the MOT history look like as well as a documented service history for the past 3 years? A good & trusted Skoda garage is Victoria Garage in Maud.

Undecided.
Best get a 2.0 TDI if you need or want a diesel and a big car IMO. Why go for the small capacity diesel? Do you need the big estate or will a smaller one do?

Juddering when parked and when accelerating
Check that Air Filter you fitted again closely and see the lid is sealed and the intake and outlet fitted OK. The spark plugs removed and checked after cooled down after a good hot run where they get nicely warmed up and any oil / carbon burned off is worth doing and free. Then the gap checked. If doing that you are as well to have new spark plugs ready to fit. Remaps are great but you want them done to a well serviced engine.

Remap
Welcome. Have you had the car long? There are so many posts and threads on remaps and tuning boxes fitted to CAVE engines on a vRS from 2010-2012. APR stage 1 was fine and REVO was pretty crap. TMC & Blue Spark Tuning boxes were used by plenty. ? So has your car got the original engine? Or maybe a rebuilt or replaced one? Has it had the breather mod and software upodate or more than one software update? Are you sure it is running the standard software now. Not already remapped? ? Is all well with it and not an oil user, good spark plugs and coils fitted now? ? Is your DSG fine and without issue? Is it original and as left the factory, has it had Service Campaign '34F7', is there a sticker in the boot?

Juddering when parked and when accelerating
EDIT. After seeing the above post. So now you tell us. This is a possible issue with Remaps. It can be an issue and sometimes you need that removed if the issues after one can not be resolved. Maybe go put in Tesco Momentum 99 or Shell v-Power Nitro+ The Superchips remap was suited to the use of a higher octane petrol was it not. So 97/99 ron as there is no 98 ron in the UK as 'Tuning Companies' like APR, REVO, Superchips show on the 'Might get improved ps/ Nm' charts. The E5 Esso Super unleaded should not be an issue, but no harm going out and putting in a tankful from someplace else. Hopefully it is not a Fuel Filter issue. ********The spark plugs are not due a replacement but all 4 inspected is sensible.************* First you need checked if any Fault Codes are showing.

Juddering when parked and when accelerating
? How many miles has the car done? Has it had Servicing recently, needed spark plugs changed, the air filter done or anything else? ? Have you bought fuel recently, any chance of a mis-fuel? If you can get the AA out to read any fault codes and it costs nothing then good. The responder can check the spark plugs if there are Mis-fires logged, or they can check anything else. If you have a Mobile Diagnostic done will the person then be able to replace the spark plugs if required or the coils or any sensor?

Skoda Kamiq 1.0 DSG experiment - fuel comsumption with Eco setting set for driver profile compare with Normal setting
Once you know how you get on doing your comparisons using E10 95 ron you can maybe compare using E5 Super Unleaded like Sainsbury Super Unleaded 97 ron or Tesco Momentum 99.

EV your choice £40k to £90k
That type of thing has all been trialed and tested. (There is a video on youtube about future caravans by the guy that is in a thread i started about EV's towing.) A caravan with solar panels over the roof is not even something that is common, and neither is trailers being towed that acts as a dynamo / generator. Not many motorhomers / caravaners even bother with portable wind turbines for when parked up. They are with e-Bikers that are touring though. Time will tell just how many EV's towing start tying up chargers for a long time in tourist areas where the big batteries are being charged so that there is electricity for use in the caravan for a few days while the owners park up and have fun.

Non vrs mods
Welcome. So vRS are petrols, and a petrol Monte Carlo is of no interest to you, but a 1.6 TDI CR Monte Carlo is just a trim model of a 1.6 TDI CR so just look and see what Air Intakes are for that engine. Some of those with modded 1.6 TDI's will be along hopefully.

2.0TSI 220 DSG oil change schedule
Yes, it reads that way but it is not so. The VW, Seat and Skoda is at 40,000 miles, and Audi call them a s-tronic even though just a DSG and say @38,000 miles.

EV your choice £40k to £90k
@KenONeill We need to get to know if actually interested more what EV drivers say they get or do get because knowing you will half your range for what ever the temperature is and road type gives people something to make their decisions on about getting an EV if they are going to be towing. I have towed for over 40 years and always with automatics, and petrols, diesels and LPG's, that is all sorts being towed and for gain or reward. So boats, caravans, car trailers etc and i do not get or expect double the fuel consumption from what the vehicle gets solo, but then it does very much depend on what the tow barge you have is. If any did use double the fuel then it would be punted unless the double the fuel was still acceptable as solo it got pretty good economy. The Tesla driver was charging for free and gets free Tesla Charging so the need to unhitch maybe every 120 miles will not be such a PITA . Lovely to get on the road and not have to splash the cash other than on the vehicle you use normally. With some EV's if you want to tow, have the car warm in cold weather with passengers, put bikes or boats on the roof and head away then maybe lots of charging stops will be necessary if going far. .............................. The crazy Enyaq test on a track.
- Is there an easy fix for my inoperative seat belt warning light?

EV your choice £40k to £90k
I just met the first Tesla driver I have that was towing a caravan. I was at a single 50kW charger that took 3 goes to get started and then was dead slow. So in pulls the Tesla S with a big caravan towed. He reversed and unhooked the van. Got his left rear reversed to the charger. He was trying to start the charger so I got out and asked if he was going on the AC. No he was going on the CCS. I told him I was going to be 40 minutes as the next 2 chargers were occupied. He was ok and was going to get his type 2 cable out. As it was I stopped charging and let him on as the speed was so bad. So he was 140 miles from home and said he gets half the range towing. No idea if he had already done a top up. I am on a charger 6 miles up the road and he just passed. So he had 30 minutes charge max if he did get any charging. I know the next charger is out of order but he might have enough to go the 20 or so further to the next chargers and his destination.. the whole thing is a lottery on a very very busy weekend of sunshine and showers on the South West Scotland coast. Not the usual ferry traffic though lots of campers and a few EV Nissan ones about. Hailstones now, this morning my cars battery was so cold I could not have the radio on while sitting not charging, sun came out, got much warmer and for a while the car was efficient.

2.0TSI 220 DSG oil change schedule
So Off Topic. The Haldex is @30,000 miles / 3 years or sooner for those with it. And Skoda had it at 40,000 mile back a few years back while VW/ Seat and Audi dealers were already at the 30,000 miles. IMPORTANT,. Is those with a VAQ front diff. Many many cars have not had the VAQ serviced at 3 years / 30,000 as Serviced Desk staff are not aware they should be. The Techs should be.. the printed sheet should have it showing as due. Skoda simplified this too much. Main dealers were charging the same £269 then £289 for a Major Service @ 4 years / 40,000 miles even when they never replaced Spark Plugs or Air Filter because the Tech decided, usually without looking. That was actually fraud as far as i was concerned. Charging for parts and VAT for Labour or Parts and none provided.

2.0TSI 220 DSG oil change schedule
The Skoda fixed price service and maintenance price at participating dealers in still £215 on the DSG oil changes. Some might well offer to do cheaper and any asking more are at it.

2.0TSI 220 DSG oil change schedule
It is not a Dry Clutch DSQ that shows at 80,000 miles. It is a wet clutch DSG. DQ200, are still no service schedule, guidelines or recommendations.
