The battery as the new frontier
- First tuning thoughts..... ??
The car is a 1.4 TSI with a DQ200 DSG, really if you want or need mo go then remap the car. There is a world of difference when talking a 2l TSI 230 ps & wet clutch DSG.- Skoda Superb Mk3 206 4x4 exhaust downpipe
206 is kW so that is the 280 bhp / PS near enough. so a TSI.- Cat converter location? 1.4tdi mk3
@CReese123 So what was the Custom work as in where did it start and did the person doing it not know anything about 1.4 TDI's to know what was what? ? Is that all that is different, just the noise no gain in performance which there was little chance of being anyway.- First tuning thoughts..... ??
You are making sense. In S all that happens is that the DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG holds the gear to a higher RPM before changing up.? How do you get on with Manual changes? The engine has the Max PS / Nm that it has where it has it and you want to be in the gear that you can get that at. ? Why not get a remap and also have the best tyres you can fitted. ? Was your DQ200 DSG part of the Service Campaign started in 2017 on some from 2013-2015. This was a software update. '34H5', Check and see if it was needed and done or outstanding. (There might be a sticker in the spare tyre well with '34h5' a date and a dealers stamp.- the truth about electric cars
Yes. There are those without a Blue Badge occasionally but more commonly there is a Blue Badge but just not one for the person in the car nipping into the shop. The Green Flash on the Registration Plate seems to have some thinking that means a nice wide quick to park in bay will mean they can park quickly and get in an out the shop as other EV drivers are cruising past seeing the chargers / bays are occupied.- DSG service confusion
As in thread after thread it has been said that the Skoda Chart for Skoda Service & Maintenance pricing reads as the DSG Service is a 4 year schedule but it is not and @kodiaqsportlineknows this as he has been part of the threads where it has been discussed. It helps if 'armchair experts' remember their posts or what they posted when they had another user name on the forum. 'Guest'. posted here. They used to refer to 'armchair experts'. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/469823-dsg-oil-change-missed-at-40k-should-walk-away The thread where @Gomezzasked and got an answer from Skoda. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/501489-dsg-oil-change Do you remember this @kodiaqsportline? There was another thread i think where the correct answer was posted. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/501667-cambelt-gone/page/3 The '4x4 oil change is the Haldex and is @ 3 years / 30,000 miles or sooner. It used to be @4 years / 40,000 miles and then there were failures and VW changed that that to 3 years / 30,000 miles and sometime later Skoda did the same. Not that all Service Desk staff seem to know, are able with a Reg no./ VIN seem to be able to call up a 'Schedule' when getting up work sheets for a service. As to the DSG Services there are members here that were never made aware that their car which had FMDSH required an oio change and this cost them dearly. The member here with a Karoq that had a Yeti that had not had the DSG oil changed by 60,000 might want to post their experience.- DSG service confusion
First thing is 4 years is not a Service Interval for a wet clutch DSG, it is by miles not years. Haldex is due the Oil Change at 3 years / 30,000 miles or sooner so overdue on a 2018 car even if only at 21,000 miles. Most DSG are certainly not sealed for Life, only the DQ200 has no Oil Change interval but they are not sealed (people do change the oil and there is 2 oils, box and MCU) and DQ200's are not used in any 2 litre TSI or TDI. Or any AWD (with Haldex) or any with over 250Nm. So is the DSG in this thread a DQ381 which some say is a 80,000 mile Oil Change Schedule. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/482244-dq381-service-intervals http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/470669-dq380-service-schedule- Issue with my Octavia e-tec - won’t surf/eco
Just so anyone knows, that is 'brake' & 'braking'. Not trying to police spelling, just trying to help, & i just assumed 'surf' was 'coasting' from the OP.- Error Brake Workshop
Get the replacement battery tested by someone that knows how to so not at Halfords. Then the car checked to see why the battery is going flat. What engine gearbox, age of car and miles done?- the truth about electric cars
The truth about electric car drivers is that there really are some Muppets. So Tesco Chargers might be Free to use and some might park their EV or Hybrid for hours or whole days even though there are only 4 bays and a busy holiday weekend and there are pay to use chargers nearby. But there are EV drivers that do not want to use the Disabled bay or the Children in car parking because no children or Blue Badge. So they pull into the EV charging bay. Not actually charge, just go in shopping, come out and drive off.- Skoda octavia 1.4 tsi oil pressure low engine off owners manual fault
If your car was find pre that service then there might lay the issue. Sorry but I think you need a competent mechanic on the job.- Skoda octavia 1.4 tsi oil pressure low engine off owners manual fault
Double post.- Skoda octavia 1.4 tsi oil pressure low engine off owners manual fault
Running it since the issue first occured has not been good for the engine if it was as simple as someone fitting the oil filter wrongly.- Support Frame (front subframe) fixing bolt sheared off probably due to corrosion.
Not globally. I still get a Recall notice annually for a 2009 Suzuki Jimmy manual brake bolt issue. Oddly it was an Automatic I had. You only know how things might fail after 5 years when 5 years have passed.- Support Frame (front subframe) fixing bolt sheared off probably due to corrosion.
This is something that VW need alerted to if they are not already. Their people will have to speak to other people and do inspections and tests and maybe decide it is one of those things and happens on 7 year old cars. Or they might need to issue a TPI, inform Authorities in countries such as Germany, even the UK and start a Service Campaign, Recall Actions or whatever.- Skoda octavia 1.4 tsi oil pressure low engine off owners manual fault
@Raj143Welcome. ?? Did they really look everywhere, and actually check the most basic of things since an Oil & Filter change was done? **Has the OIl filter been changed or checked since last year when it was changed?** Did someone fitting the new filter then forget to remove a seal and then cause the Low Oil Pressure warning ? Needs checked to see if 'Operator error', and the person that did the service was the operator. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/450278-oil-warning-light-intermitent- Superb iV Estate economy
Welcome. Can you even get a new Superb iV delivered this year or are you looking at maybe getting a used one? Be aware that the engine requires fixed interval Oil & Filter servicing. A mod might move your post to the Superb section. There are threads there that might cover your question. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/478938-real-time-mpg-for-superb-iv This i a recent one about longer trips. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/503403-new-superb-iv-kk-road-trip-mpg- Anyone fitted 19" all weather tyres on their Karoq?
One day someone might post that they were in an accident and a Police Officer, Loss Adjuster , Crash Investigator checked the cars speedo was only over reading. Maybe it will be a Taxi Driver that has had their car checked at a Police Inspection / Meter Speedo check. Or maybe not.- Transport blocks left in
@Sossages Were you assuming that an After sales Manager, Area Warranty Manager or even a Workshop manager would be a trained or qualified technician? That would be an error.- Delivery Delays
@Berisford Unless VW Group decide they will not be produced and so Skoda stop building them for the UK, or just Skoda UK decide not to import them if the need is to get Average Co2 figures even lower in the UK for the VW group. There will be an issue if the Mild Hybrids, PHEV's and BEV's are not getting First Registered in the UK in enough or any numbers in 2022.- Delivery times?
A member has their Superb build put back to 2023. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/492588-delivery-delays/page/9- Is a Superb 272 calling me?
Talk with the boss about the car and what we are talking about here. The website has customers that appear to big the place / staff up. https://www.dalesautomotive.co.uk/testimonials.php There are Facebook entries as well for Dales Automotives. (remember, partners, friends, families and even employees can post in reviews.) We assume that at least one spring was replaced for a MOT, maybe 2 were, maybe more. The tyres with a bulge were replaced. Maybe more often than just for a MOT. Maybe loads of Servicing / DIY servicing was done, but then maybe not. That is the rub. It is an incomplete Service History / Record of Servicing and that is probably why the car is for sale at the price it is. The RAC Warranties are really rather crap as in the Maximum Claim and even the Inspections. So that is T&C's that need reading. Any extended warranty you would buy could be money wasted without a Service Record to the Manufacturers Recommendations / Guidelines. Skoda / VW do not like to use 'Schedule' to describe a Service Schedule.- What is this gauge marked in kW?
Or just an ICE and how much kW/ BHP / PS. A Nm gauge would be Simply Clever. - First tuning thoughts..... ??
