Thanks again. I changed the CrossClimate + to Michelin Alpin 6 on my e-Corsa and rate them pretty high.- Fully Charged Live 2019 show

- EV real world range and cost to charge
Free public charging is wonderful when available. I am happy as Larry sitting for an hour while the car is charging with the car heating fully up and heated seat on when outside it is well below freezing. It is very nice travelling without paying for fuel even tho how far you can go is limited because of Coronavirus restrictions.- Skoda Enyaq
@MasternetThanks for all that. ? What tyres does it have, Brands, name and size. I think an EV is the best of all worlds for winter even if not plugging in and pre-heating. Just start and turn heating to full and put on heated seat/s and steering wheel and the ice falls off the windows in minutes. Tyres were an issue for me and Michelin Primacy 4 tyres were terrible for traction in the wet, cold or snow so needed changing for all seasons, and now i have winter tyres on.- Any Citigo-e IV user
The Big Battery Pack has that 8 year / 100,000 mile warranty. I doubt the standard car battery has the same cover. The Zoe is something like £100 for the 3 year service plan but £400 to have the 4th year. No idea about cost of the e-Corsa Service but it was supposed to be 20,000 miles / 12 months and that changed to 8,000 miles / 12 months for 1st year.- Any Citigo-e IV user
Ask them. £240 does seem a rip off. Is it the Pollen / Cabin filter being replaced, and will they do the Brake Fluid change at 24 months. Or will that be at the next service and a more expensive one? There is the inspection service to be done, checking the electrics. ? Will they rotate the tyres at the time of a service and include that in the price? I put money on the Service Interval being reduced down to the same as some other EV's and that is a first service at 8,000 miles or 12,000 miles. The Up!, Mii Citigo Electric cars are not the same as the e-Up from 2014 or e-Golfs, and things like the Service Intervals can be reviewed if Owners have issues. VW say 18,000 miles / 24 months for the first Service then each 18,000 miles or 12 months. (Maybe Brake fluid change at 3 years / 36,000 miles with them.) The Car Plan Pre-Icer i bought last year instead of Halford Pre-Icer was rubbish and left very greasy windows. Brilliant though for spraying on door and hatch seals. As is other Pre Deicers, or Silicone Spray & even WD 40. Just clean off after frosts are over. Be sure to clean the fuel filler flap area and prepare for winter freezing with lubrication of the rubber or just paint to paint.- Visually etc. My car of the day -today
- Engine oil for Sel first Edition 1.5 tsi
As above. And when an official VW group video on North America on checking oil says Quart, it needs remembered a US quart is not the same as and Imperial one. As US gallons are less than Imperial gallons. @SurreyJohn where did you come up with that bit about any multi grade oil. That is so back a few decades and nonsense. There are Oil Consumption threads in the various sections in Briskoda where the model has 1.5TSI engines. Scala, Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq, Octavia and Superb. Check the oil level when getting a new car and know where it is when Cold (then you can check before journeys) & when at Normal Operating Temperature, and check during the 'Driving in period'. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/468008-oil-burning-karoq- Windscreen condensation problem

You might think that Skoda UK could at least put up images of Right Hand Drive cars. (Flip the image!) For decades getting prices, options, specs correct have been beyond them. Then Skoda CZ / VW are so bad with cars Software and Skoda UK Dealership unable to deal with 'Snagging issues' and they are taught to say, 'We will contact Skoda CZ to find out what to do'.- Honda e
The Honda-E can be bought more powerful, it is heavier, wider, higher and just a little shorter than a Peugeot e-208 & both have 4 doors, so why would that be said to be a class up. It just happens to have a bigger battery so more range can be achieved. Price and size they look the same class to me but the Honda is just a bit heavy without a big battery. Like the Mini Electric is which is a 2 door.- Skoda Electric Models

Very odd then of them to show the up to mpg to the left of 1,0 T -GDI 48V ISG which is the hybrid. EDIT. The Combined figure for one of the Hybrids is 51.4 MPG The other is 49.6 MPG Here we are on the WLTP figures for the hybrids on their website / brochure.- Paint and paint code
The Build Stickers were always in the spare tyre well until people started reporting there was not. Then the difficulty started in getting paint codes. It is how things are, Skoda is 'Simply Clever' until they are just really simply simple. Why not just stick up the name of the Dealership you have dealt with? You never know but someone at Skoda or from that motor group might read this and decide to train their employees. I will make sure that they see the thread.- Paint and paint code
@DiljitYou posted before that at the dealership the parts guy said they did not do that paint. How did they know if they never knew the code / colour. If you were told that they were lying anyway. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/486145-paint-code If they can not be bothered ask Skoda UK Customer Services to check with your VIN code and tell them the Dealership that could not help. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/488137-paint-code http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/487595-paint-and-paint-code http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/488682-paint-shop-paint- how to...bike adjustment
Look straight down the forks and see that there is not a bit of a twist or poor matching of the drop outs that means the front wheel axle is not parallel with the handlebars. I do not mean the handlebars are squint, bars straight across and stem straight forward but a little bit of a cant with the wheel. Or a camber with the wheel not totally vertical.- All Weather Tyres
A puncture on the motorway might allow you to carry on off the motorway if lucky with run flats, but i would not unless in the hard shoulder with hazards on and the cops do not like that. A blowout is rather different from a puncture, you are not continuing when there is a blowout. My young lad recently returned to his BMW in a long stay car park and had a slow leak from the valve (according to the call i got). He called around and nobody had a BMW valve but one place said by the time he got to them they could get one delivered. He took a while to crawl along on the run flat for 4-5 miles to try to save wrecking the run flat and got away with it. He also hit it lucky in that the fitter was prepared to do a repair on the runflat as there was a nail in it as well. If the boot does not have to have the space to be jam packed with stuff i would rather have a spare wheel with a matching tyre to the ones on the car and a jack and wheel brace strapped in. (even just one or a pair of the Summer or Winter set you have.) I usually have 2 matching wheels / tyres in the boot for travels in winter in parts of Scotland. RAC / AA are not much cope in some locations where tyre centres might be closed and then if open they have not a suitable tyre, and the AA / RAC temp wheel is no use to continue a trip / holiday. UK & USA divided by one language. Then All Season / All Weather is something else that means different things to different people in different places. Cars with Summer tyres arrive in the UK to be driven in all seasons and can be crap in more than one. http://talkcarswell.com/best-tires/run-flat/- My (fourth) Yeti
I would hope that Kia are not showing very optimistic economy with their Mild Hybrid Stonic. If that is all the best they got under the WLTP / RDE2 then it is not impressive. Maybe real world driving reviews will tell the actual MPG that can be achieved without hypermiling.- Timing belt help
2021 so new Fixed Service and Maintenance pricing on 3-10 year old cars at participating dealers. Others might charge less, or on the other hand more.- how to...bike adjustment
I choose a line someplace, edge of a pavement, line in the road and sit the bike on the line and see if the wheels are in line, push the childs bike along a line and see. Turn the bike upside down and use a straight edge put that along the centre line of the tyres.- Winter driving, a few observations.
Leaving the wiper parked in the 'Service' position can be a good idea. When you stop the car you flick the wiper stalk and the wiper stop up the screen in the position that you use when replacing the blades. - Skoda Enyaq
