the truth about electric cars
@EnterName Keep up at the back. Are you being daft on purpose hoping another thread is closed? There was a ZEV Mandate and cars pre reg and stored / bunkered. Discussed now for 2 years or more on here. With Jaguar in the UK and cars they could not shift because there were many with them having issues it is a bit off calling it a FIRE SALE.

Do Skoda have a small (Fabia) Hybrid ready to go yet?
Many including journalist missed this one. I wanted a Ignis AWD Auto and mild hybrid would have been fine, but it only came AWD and m-hev as a manual.

the truth about electric cars
@EnterName Come on give us a clue, someone must pay to buy one to Give to others. Plenty supposed Media cars and Demonstrators and out there being driven by supposed employees or journalists and maybe just friends and family to run up 3,000 miles. As has been the case for decades with cars to get the Tax Break and sell as Ex Management or Demonstrator.

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..

Just buy or rent used then from all these actually new / Pre used cars. Businesses / lease companies and Motability will buy New if that is what they do. @EnterName? Who gets a FREE CAR other than if someone gifts them one or lends them one? Is that about Motability where people might get Benefits and then spend over £12,000 over 3 years to lease a car?- the truth about electric cars
Any chance the debate or discussions or even arguments about terms, words and understandings can be taken elsewhere rather than here where the subject is BEVS?- Emissions Control Warning Light
There needs to be enough misfires in a cycle to Log a Fault code for misfires. Maybe Condensation in the Fuel tank which is why many of us Ooop North keep fuel tanks full when parked up, And it is Winter Spec Petrol from October in Filling stations till March so less Hygroscopic. PS I pretty much knew it was a 1.0 being a 2021, just not if a TSI or MPI.- Rowers - can a set of rowing (sculling) blades fit in the Octavia estate?
I do need to ask out of interest. What are the cars that others are carrying them inside?- Engine flush ?
No. Not IMO. There is nice oil in but getting replaced, so warm oil removed is sufficient.- Surprise(?) Enyaq Facelift

Great minds think alike, fools seldom differ. Drill baby drill, as long as you can and you have a vested interest in it financially.- Noise from camshaft drive system
bump- Help - Told Engine gone, any advice appreciated!
I am pretty sure they do not check when ignition goes on. @rum4mo is likely on the right track with the 'Cam pulley'.- Help - Told Engine gone, any advice appreciated!
The Red oil can or the Yellow oil can do not come up with the Lights check when turning on in a mk3 do they, they did not with mk2,s. That is something best answered by Mk3 drivers.- Emissions Control Warning Light
Welcome. What were the codes for, 'Misfires' if so what cylinder? They should maybe have looked at the spark plugs. Maybe looked at the air filter, to see if wet. ? Have you put in petrol recently. Just E10, from where? Have you driven on a very wet road?- the truth about electric cars
We really do get very very far from 'The truth about electric cars', or Electric road vehicles'. At times we get 'The truth about ICE vehicles and hybrid vehicles'. 'MGUY' videos seem to be about what is in the Media, press releases etc and takes his fancy. As far as The Truth about EV,s, well only as far as he brings up selectively from the media available to him. There are for's and against's and those that have ev,s or not & these videos but persuade some with EV,s to move on from them and might have many more without an EV not to get one. As to Climate change, global warming or Governments and emissions legislation then surely that is a Roadside Hotel type subject as very much a Global subject and as much about Fossil Fuels & Ice vehicles as it is Batteries, generating electricity and then using it. ............... Just a week to go and we will see what Executive Orders Donald Trump signs and what Mandates he can cancel and then what Elon Musk thinks about them. My selected look at published pages about EV,s and from the USA.- iV maximum DC charging speed
I would expect to get 50 kW Peak at maybe 5 to 10 mins after starting charging and maybe 15-25 % battery charge. I have been charging at never more than 2*oC for near 2 weeks and charger dependent it might peak at 52 kW on a 50 kW charger and sometimes only 35-40 kW. This is an EV, but a small battery. Lets hope others with a new car like yours come along and tell what peak they get and if they do get 50kW. PS. My partner is Hungarian and can not be bothered with the messing about at chargers that i can have. Scotland has Charge Place Scotland administering Council Chargers and some others and there are some pathetic chargers, e-Volt ones, manufactured by a company SWARCO own, and mostly maintained by SWARCO, and then SWARCO run Charge Place Scotland for the Government. So in this set up i think you can imagine that incompetence is just accepted...- iV maximum DC charging speed
Peak Charging Speed 50 kW. So using a charger giving more than 50 kW makes no difference. Maybe avoid the higher powered ones. In winter the charging speed might well be slower until the battery warms a bit an then peak Charging speed might be 50 kW on a low battery. 12*oC Ambient is not Cold. It is 'Average charging speed that matters as it will not stay at the Peak charging speed when it ramps down to protect the battery (cells.) ........... My Mini has a 32 kWh battery and charges at 50 kW max, but the Average charge speed 5%-100 % might be just 30 kW That is 1 hour. For the last 10% , 90-100% if it drops below 11 kW charging speed imight go on the 11 kW AC charger and pay less per kWh and take no longer. .................... 10-80% is 26 minutes, not a 10-100% charge on a 50 kW DC charger.- Replace Cambelt?
Plenty just traded in cars because no way at 5 years were they paying the cost given, and a oil & inspection Service, Extended Scope, Brake fluid and probably up-sold Brakes required and AC service. £2,500 sort of money.- Replace Cambelt?
6.5 hours and VAT. For others looking, Be sure that the quote and work being done is just the Cambelt @ tensioners. Those getting the £1,100-£1,250 prices need to check they are not going by Cambelt and Water Pump, £200-£250 parts.- the truth about electric cars
Yes, there was an ice age. Hurrying it up makes no difference then. Fire up the coal fired power stations again, burn peat & just get on with fracking. In the south of the UK. PS. To the French there is no English Channel, just the Channel. / La Manche.- the truth about electric cars
Or where the UK spys get enrolled. How cares about the research or the results, you are getting what you are getting. Even if Donald Trump is the President for 4 years. Climate change will happen. .................. Staying at Trump Turnberry. Likely looking at more spending in Scotland.- Replace Cambelt?
@Phoenixboy Did you take them up on that offer and did they honour the quote on the job that someone obviously did not know what was involved?- My NC500
