  1. Looks like. That is all it is about, getting WLTP and RDE2 results that the VW group can get away with for a while and not get pemalties over emission averages until they can produce and sell enough EV,s rather than just talking about them. Some Mild Hybrids punted and larger capacity diesels with SCR and kick the can down the road a few years.
  2. As for the losing the back end and spinning off into ditches. Yes this can happen with crap tyres on the rear, but if the Dunlop's are not gubbed I would put them on the front for now to help steer and brake and have control of it pees down again today. After all a Mcconechys fitter sent the car out with the 4 mix and match tyres it has on now.
  3. Because the default position if not saying ' they all do that' is 'never heard of that before'. But then that must be because there is no TPI issued, or as in this case ' they never read them,'.
  4. Or just good tyres on the wheels he has rather than splashing cash as you always suggest on smaller wheels and narrower tyres. That is s recurring theme....
  5. Do not trust you and others lives to pressures some tyre fitter chooses. & reset the TPMS. Is there one new and one old tyre on the same axle?
  6. Riken a brand owned by Michelin. A new green unworn in tyre ane mixed.... So what else is on is important and pressures especially important.
  7. Welcome. They sound as though 'plenty of grip' in the dry, which is not safe if not in the wet when driving to the conditions. So what tyres are on, make and size and what pressures are they at? PS Currently in Sunny South Ayrshire where the torrential conditions are catching many out.
  8. Mandatory MOT's for vehicles in England, Wales and Scotland will be reintroduced from 1st August the Government has said....
  9. DQ381 in title of this thread. The other thread as mentioned has DQ380 in it. Maybe someone coming across the thread from a search is interested in the DQ380 and another the DQ381.
  10. I would ask the dealership if they used the correct 0w 20 FS IV to vw 508 which SKoda UK and dealership staff say is required to keep the warranty valid. That is rubbish obviously as like you were told and as some dealers do. They say vw504 is correct. You might think because they work in the car business they might read up on it and get consistent on what they tell owners and customers.
  11. Sun roofs or panoramic roofs on a Yeti and just how SKoda and Official dealerships have dealt with issues even in a all percentage really has nothing to do with other models, other VW group sister brands or generations of vehicles. The recoring issues are well documented and are in number greater than just those that visit a forum to give vent or ask advice. Obviously there is not all having issues or SKoda would not have got off as lightly as they have in what repairs cost as owners get landed paying out just too often.
  12. When was your car built? The issue with asking SKoda customer services is they give the answer they gave you. But if your car has vw508/509 as used in the factory for 2 years now that is what you should top up with. You can go to vw 504 when an oil change is done.
  13. Oil to vw508/509 so 0w 20 full synthetic IV ,. Unless already serviced and the oil from the factory changed and vw504/507 so 5w 30 FS III might have been used.
  14. ^^^ I know the order they come in! I just wondered if some brilliant person had looked ahead like with the 12 Plate and the Summer Olympics in 2012 in the UK, and then the 70th Anniversary of the European Convention of human rights being in 2020, maybe the Schuman Declaration. Or even the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix. Even the end of the Korean War. All just coincidental then.

email Skoda Customer Services or Customer Services in whatever country anyone is in. Ask what the Recall Action or Service Campaign action is. It is not against Data Protection to tell you. It is not a Skoda Secret Service Campaign with a need to know basis and owners / drivers do not need to know. No Dealership should carry out and 'Enhancements or updates or recall actions' and not explain why to a driver / owner when the car is collected. It is the owners vehicle or one they lease and not something for 'Dealership employees' to know about and not the person that will be behind the wheel, or that pays the bills. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall https://car-recalls.eu/vin-check-recalls/skoda

@SurreyJohn The OP for this thread is from the 7th May with cars in Ireland, best they just get on with building and delivering cars.
  17. Looks like it would be an alternative to a Skoda Enyaq but they have a range that will be too low for many. LOL @ Thomas. A pillarless car with suicide rear doors and he just goes on about seating materials, space in the back and as for the doors, lets carry on as if this is no big deal, move right along..
  18. The thing is with any 'Ex Management car' which is really going to be an Ex Demonstrator, Courtesy car or employee perk for 3,000 miles / 3 months is they can get damaged while someone drives them and they just get cheaply fixed and handed back which can mean a part bought off ebay being wrong.
  19. It is not a surprise really that a car should fail it's first MOT because of Headlight alignment. Cars leave the production line and arrive in the UK and get a PDI and even if serviced 3 times before the MOT the headlights are never checked until a MOT. Many of the nearly new cars you see with badly adjusted headlights are the ones that will fail at a UK MOT. 'Vosprung Durch Technik'. Why do Dealership staff and the DVSA not tell the manufacturers, and their bosses?
  20. Something was 'Lost in translation' from the engineers in Germany & the media spin in German to those doing a website / media release in the CZ and Czech to English. 'Skoda is replacing the previous entry-level 115-PS (85kW) 1.6TDI with an equally low powered 2.0 TDI from the new EVO generation.' or just 'of equal power!' from the 1.6TDI and this 2.0TDI with engine management to get the WLTP and RDE2 that they needed to get.
  21. Welcome to the forum. All 2 litre TSI / TDI's are Wet clutch DSG / S-tronic from VW Group. Only diesels with a 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DQ200 DSG are 1.2, 1.4 & 1.6 TDI's.
