  1. Ootohere's post in Alarm was marked as the answer
    Welcome to the forum.
I would think open the bonnet and fit a new car battery, but first check the terminals tightness, then have someone check the battery's condition.

Was a light left on someplace, glove compartment or boot,
or is the battery just old enough to need replacing?
  2. Ootohere's post in In layman's terms. What does "Bi-Halogen" and "Ø 70mm f 70mm" mean? was marked as the answer
The more people explain the more people get confused very often.

  3. Ootohere's post in coolant was marked as the answer
It certainly should not be below MIN when the Coolant is up to temperature.
As long as not below MIN when cold it is fine.
  4. Ootohere's post in Paint Colour Codes for Colout Concept Model was marked as the answer
There is a very similar sticker with the same details in the boot / spare tyre well.
usually the paint code is beside where it says Paint no.  or 'paint code'.
    That is for the white'.

The Black Magic (metallic) should be easy enough to get the code for.

  5. Ootohere's post in vRS Mileage Milestone was marked as the answer
    Many happy returns.
That is it at 6 years old now and it is one of the first Mk2 Fabia Twinchargers into the UK.
Almost all original apart from the wheels being powdercoated is it not?
  6. Ootohere's post in 2 Worries was marked as the answer
It might have been an idea to Run it in, or Drive it in as Skoda recommend. in Owners Manuals.

Not just the engine, but the new tyres, brakes, bearings suspension etc, ie take it easy while getting the newness off them,
getting coatings off the tyres and brakes and this gives the engine an easier start to things.

Not too late to give it less of a hard time for the next few hundred miles.

    PS
Have you checked under the bonnet, looked at the coolant and oil levels as the Dealership
put the car out from the PDI.
Checked the tyre pressures and set them and reset the TPMS?
  7. Ootohere's post in a question about transportation of equipment was marked as the answer
An Estate Car, and on the Roof Bars (Cross Bars) a 3 Meter Pipe Carrier, Cut down or left as bought, use inserts at both ends to be sure the bar or bars being carried do not slide.  Secure Locks on the Rack.   & Also Blacked Out Tinted rear Windows.
    http://demarvan.co.uk/pipe-carriers
Then the Business / Commercial Insurance required for transportation of Equipment and covering his needs.

Maybe a Double Cab Pickup and a rolltop bed cover.
Then the vehicle is very useful for carry more equipment if ever needed, Rowing Machines, Bikes etc etc.

    EDIT.
    Keep it simple,
    quick to load and un-load,
ie a professional looking set up.

  8. Ootohere's post in Euro-spec / smaller alloys for Monte Carlo was marked as the answer
16" Alloys on Fabia Reaction are 'COMET' Alloys.
    http://vindisgroup.com/blog/limited-edition-skodas.html
(Looks like these are the same style 16" alloys they also fitted to the Monte Carlo sold in Australia.)

    MK2 Fabia wheels available were.
15" Fabia Alloy Wheels, Antares in Silver
16" Fabia Alloy Wheels, Atria or Elba in silver.

'Simpson Skoda parts' have Black Comet alloys for sale at £696 a set, *Fitted*   LOL,,,,Crazy Price,

  9. Ootohere's post in Temporary fix? was marked as the answer
Members and others have run with that before without issues.

The weather is not too warm so no real under bonnet  heat issues at present.
Maybe still run an air intake pipe towards it still from the grill.
  10. Ootohere's post in Maintenance Spanner (how to reset) was marked as the answer
    See post #20.
Maybe no use for your spanner indication, but useful to others.

  15. Ootohere's post in Strange oil related question was marked as the answer
Who at the dealership? And why would skoda UK not know what they paid for?
  16. Ootohere's post in Cracked LED Daytime Running Light - Replacement was marked as the answer
Post #1 shows the DRL and how to remove it.
If you look at your lights you will see the seal around them and the Plastic Cover.

As long as you buy a Right or Left you should be getting the correct unit.

  17. Ootohere's post in 215/40/17 Tyre Pressure was marked as the answer
Look in the fuel filler flap at the recommended pressures for your car. No need to change the tyre pressure because you have 215/40 17 on instead of 205/40 17
  18. Ootohere's post in Main dealer service? was marked as the answer
The Manufacturer might give 'Good Will Gestures' on the Manufacturers Warranty out, maybe on a Standard Engine,
It is not the Dealership paying the costs.

If they will try to not Give Warranty Cover on the Turbo or Gearbox on a Modified Engine in Warranty, i doubt there is any Good Will on offer out of it.

  19. Ootohere's post in wierd engine whirring 11 plate fabia vrs was marked as the answer
The 1.4 TSI 132- 136 kW Engines Recommended fuel is 98 ron,
and in the UK that needs to be Tesco Momentum 99 or Shell V-Power Nitro, both of which are minimum 99 ron.

The other UK Super Unleaded are 97 ron Minimum .
and not using 98 ron or better does make all the difference. with the 1.4 TSI Twinchargers, what you save in a few pence per litre can cost you in
    MPG and in Spark Plugs.
  20. Ootohere's post in Fabia VRS N316 Valve was marked as the answer
    Yes,
the engine in the Training manual is up to 125 kw, were with a manual gearbox, and with a map that had max power at 6,000 rpm, not 6,200 rpm

Different engine, differences in parts when they became the CAVE 2009.  then CTHE late 2012

  21. Ootohere's post in nightmare dealer....... was marked as the answer
Was the Specialist in Milton Keynes to be their Skoda Specialist Technical Team at the HQ, the main man seems to be Derran Brown.
or was it the CZ Factory where Uri Geller must now be on the Payroll.?

No idea why they record it, they should just use their powers to pick up what the noise is.
  22. Ootohere's post in Bluetooth connection tone was marked as the answer
Do you mean as you get in the car with your Paired Phone.

It was about giving me a heart attack, then i asked here and i was told i just needed to turn it down with the Volume Control on the steering wheel.
Someone was turning it up full as a joke

Is that what you mean, still too loud even when turned right down?
  23. Ootohere's post in service help for vrs was marked as the answer
If you car is 3 years old, it needs the Brake Fluid Changed,
It needs everything fully Inspected and Checked,
Steering, Suspension & Brake parts, Pad Wear etc.
Tyre Walls checked were you can see & on the Other Side you can not..

Its not done lots of Miles,
but still Wiper Blades, Brake Pads etc can be as worn or needing replacing as a car thats done
    40,000 miles.

So just a good Maintenance Inspection before the Warranty Expires & before the MOT.

If not at a Skoda Dealership, maybe at a VW One.
Under £200 possibly. £250 ish,  Service, Pollen Filter, Brake Fluid Change.
But i would check who ever is doing it Understands what you want,
'The Car Properly Serviced & Checked all over'.

Not Just Fluids/Filters/Grease & a quick look over, a Proper Check.

    If keeping the car.
Skoda have a 'Service Plan for car from 3-8 year old.'
It includes 2 Services, Minor & Major when you want them done and 2 MOT's.
It might work out good for you price wise.

  24. Ootohere's post in Logbook horror stories was marked as the answer
You still have to have 'Valid Insurance' to buy VED (Tax a Car)
You just do not need to show a Valid Certificate at a Post Office.
*A dealer/trader can have insurance covering the vehicle)

The Taxing of the Vehicle does not go through unless there is 'Valid Insurance' running,
or the MID/MIB have it on the Database.

The car on the public highway without insurance is illegal anyway,
& any driver in it driving without Valid Insurance covering them to drive is illegal.
