Are you using Duracell batteries? I avoid these as the bitrex coating applied to stop kids eating them acts as an insulator and can prevent a good contact in some devices....

On mine one click on the downshift paddle puts it back into gear.

OP didn't mention DSG oil change.....

I believe VAQ diff oil change is every 2 years/20k miles so if you want to keep your warranty I'd get it done.

Do you really think they’re going lay on they’re back in the footwell and look for a small black box that looks like a relay buried under the dash?

There is no light, just turn the knob to the heating symbol and they should get slightly warm to the touch

What do you mean by you can't get them to turn on? Can you physically turn knob? If so do they not get warm?

My vRS won't rev any higher than ~5k rpm when stationary so I wouldn't worry.

There's an LED in there in VW Golfs but not in the Octavia.

They were removed due to a recall for a fire risk. It should then have been replaced with a new one under warranty when available.

Yes traffic sign recognition is a one off payment and I’m glad I payed for it. Skoda Connect is with the subscription, I wouldn’t pay for any of the other though.

This has all been cleared up as Skoda have removed the warning about the service ending.

When you park up just switch the car off while keep your foot on the brake pedal, it’ll automatically go into Park and apply the parking brake.
