  1. I can only assume it’s Android specific, works fine on my iPhone. Is the web portal ok for your car/account? If so, perhaps reset the app or reinstall it.
  2. I certainly agree the 20mph limit needed reverting on some (many?) of the roads. But what annoyed me was the reported rationale for changing back was [paraphrased] ‘it shows we are listening’. Never a mention of ‘we got it wrong’.
  3. That’s why I never played football 😉
  4. I had the rear roof lights turning themselves on and off, any time of day or night but only noticeable after dark; very distracting like you say. The solution was the dealer replaced the unit under warranty.
  5. IMO that one belongs in ‘what annoyed you today?’
  6. I feel your pain - literally! I'm 6'4" and the shed door is less than 6'. Guess what I just did... 🙄
  7. MS 13ANG Fiat 500 with young lady driver. The 1 & 3 very close together, the mind boggles…
  8. Yes, mine is on the 17” wheels; it was a dealer car I bought at 6 months after first registration. No extras over and above the first edition bits though☹️
  9. Blimey, Y rated tyres are up to 186mph! My SE L FE came with a more realistic V rated tyres (149mph).
  10. Disagree. The biggest problem with our bread maker is the bread is too damned nice - I'm eating way too much! 🤣 Next biggest is the paddle...
  11. Or connect the iPhone to the car before turning on the ignition.
  12. Have you tried connecting with a cable in the Octavia? What the car displays within CarPlay is determined by the software in the car infotainment system. It could be that some of the apps are no longer permitted (perhaps something like YouTube video) hence the Octavia doesn't show them whereas the older Fabia does. If all else fails, try posting on the Apple support community pages - https://discussions.apple.com/welcome You'll probably need to sign in with your Apple ID.
  13. Thanks, that’s a good option. Keep forgetting about Screwfix as they’re tucked away round a corner or three. I found a local-ish plumbing supplies place which had really good stock and incredibly helpful people too. A rare find these days.
  14. B & Q website. A few little DIY jobs to be done; I know, I’ll nip down to B & Q; before I go, I’ll have a look at what I need and see if it’s in stock. Hmmm… Most of the stuff I want is “Available online only and not stocked in B&Q stores” Grrr….
  15. The loan SE First Edition I ran for five months (and 8k miles) in 2021 had a Swing unit. Zero issues. No idea on version numbers though, sorry.
  16. Totally agree. I was one of the early purchasers and experienced many a frustration as @Greezy56 may recall. And yes, very pleased with my car now - a great blend of space, comfort and economy.
  17. Ah! OK, I got that wrong then 🙄. Thanks for posting the correction.
  18. Take a look at the Nextbase ones, my 522GW works fine with the USB-C power from the port by the mirror. They have options for rear cameras too, but they’d obviously need to be powered independently.
  19. Is the eTec you’re getting the 1.0 or 1.5? I had a loan 1.0 eTec for five months. Was absolutely fine for two of us even with a reasonable load in the boot. Having said that I think four up and the boot rammed with holiday paraphernalia it might feel a bit underwhelming on long motorway hauls or big hills. The DSG ‘box worked well too. Noise levels similar to my 1.5 manual so no worries there. I use CarPlay but I know that my 2020 car supports wireless Android Auto (sons phone) - think wireless was an added feature on one of the many s/ware updates.
  20. I wonder if this a software issue. I note from other threads (matrix lights) that your car is going in to the dealer next Wednesday. Probably worth pressing them to look at updates for all components in the car. The SEL FEs had a shed load of issues early on, all fixed in mine now, so hopefully they can sort yours.
  21. It will need some new side panels in the boot space as well as the floor itself. Also worth noting that whilst the floor would raise the floor to the level of the tailgate opening the seat backs don’t fold flat like in my old Mk2 This thread has some more discussion…
  22. This reminds me of a couple of colleagues who spent a good half hour arguing about the correct use of a semicolon. ‘Twas quite entertaining…
  23. Oooo… not had a decent Buttery for ages. Will be heading north in a few weeks time, reminder to pop in to the local Asda has been set 👍
  24. That's right. I ended up sending two lots back to Amazon 'cos they were either too short or the fitting too wide. In the end, I got Bosch AP26U and AP19U for the front. A bit more money than buying a set but they fit well and are the same length as the original blades fitted to my car. The thread I quoted earlier has more background.
