  1. If you can try recording a video of the symptoms and share it with the dealer, that way that have evidence to justify warranty work which might help.
  2. Sounds like the Home Screen(s) have been reset, possibly due to an update of maybe a bit of a glitch in the user profile. Sometimes if the iPhone doesn't connect the CarPlay icon/app appears as SmartLink. Use that instead and reconnect the phone. If that's not the issue, the you should be able to edit the home screens, a long press should bring up the edit screens where you can add and remove elements, and create additional screens. CarPlay and/or SmartLink should be available in there. All that typed from memory, hopefully I got it close enough...
  3. I've occasionally had one or other key lose its association with the seat memory; could well have been related to a major s/ware update but hasn't been for all big updates. As yet I haven't updated to 1969, its working happily on 1941.
  4. I can only assume it’s Android specific, works fine on my iPhone. Is the web portal ok for your car/account? If so, perhaps reset the app or reinstall it.
  5. I certainly agree the 20mph limit needed reverting on some (many?) of the roads. But what annoyed me was the reported rationale for changing back was [paraphrased] ‘it shows we are listening’. Never a mention of ‘we got it wrong’.
  6. I had the rear roof lights turning themselves on and off, any time of day or night but only noticeable after dark; very distracting like you say. The solution was the dealer replaced the unit under warranty.
  7. Yes, mine is on the 17” wheels; it was a dealer car I bought at 6 months after first registration. No extras over and above the first edition bits though☹️
  8. Blimey, Y rated tyres are up to 186mph! My SE L FE came with a more realistic V rated tyres (149mph).
  9. Or connect the iPhone to the car before turning on the ignition.
  10. Have you tried connecting with a cable in the Octavia? What the car displays within CarPlay is determined by the software in the car infotainment system. It could be that some of the apps are no longer permitted (perhaps something like YouTube video) hence the Octavia doesn't show them whereas the older Fabia does. If all else fails, try posting on the Apple support community pages - https://discussions.apple.com/welcome You'll probably need to sign in with your Apple ID.
  11. The loan SE First Edition I ran for five months (and 8k miles) in 2021 had a Swing unit. Zero issues. No idea on version numbers though, sorry.
  12. Totally agree. I was one of the early purchasers and experienced many a frustration as @Greezy56 may recall. And yes, very pleased with my car now - a great blend of space, comfort and economy.
  13. Ah! OK, I got that wrong then 🙄. Thanks for posting the correction.
  14. Take a look at the Nextbase ones, my 522GW works fine with the USB-C power from the port by the mirror. They have options for rear cameras too, but they’d obviously need to be powered independently.
  15. Is the eTec you’re getting the 1.0 or 1.5? I had a loan 1.0 eTec for five months. Was absolutely fine for two of us even with a reasonable load in the boot. Having said that I think four up and the boot rammed with holiday paraphernalia it might feel a bit underwhelming on long motorway hauls or big hills. The DSG ‘box worked well too. Noise levels similar to my 1.5 manual so no worries there. I use CarPlay but I know that my 2020 car supports wireless Android Auto (sons phone) - think wireless was an added feature on one of the many s/ware updates.
  16. I wonder if this a software issue. I note from other threads (matrix lights) that your car is going in to the dealer next Wednesday. Probably worth pressing them to look at updates for all components in the car. The SEL FEs had a shed load of issues early on, all fixed in mine now, so hopefully they can sort yours.
  17. It will need some new side panels in the boot space as well as the floor itself. Also worth noting that whilst the floor would raise the floor to the level of the tailgate opening the seat backs don’t fold flat like in my old Mk2 This thread has some more discussion…
  18. That's right. I ended up sending two lots back to Amazon 'cos they were either too short or the fitting too wide. In the end, I got Bosch AP26U and AP19U for the front. A bit more money than buying a set but they fit well and are the same length as the original blades fitted to my car. The thread I quoted earlier has more background.
  19. Sadly I couldn’t get consistent results doing that, hence a bit of trial and error - see thread I linked above.
  20. Apart from stability, the only other thing I noticed about v.1941 is that it seems a little more responsive with apps loading a little quicker. Hardly earth shattering…
  21. Tinkering with the native monochrome modes on my new(-ish) Nikon Zf - taken in Cam Idwal, Snowdonia
  22. Yeah, a different cable is worth trying; both my iPhone & Mrs Steve's work fine wireless or wired.
  23. I’ve never seen an option to display the altitude; would be nice though, especially when transiting an alpine pass.
  24. Welcome aboard! Hoping you enjoy your new (to you) motor. if you haven’t already, it’d be worth asking the dealer to ensure all s/ware updates available for it are applied.
