  1. Totally the Merc at fault. Reversing out without checking what's there.
  2. Do you have personalisation eneabled?
  3. A good USB cable is a must, but will wear out the phone connection eventually. There are several wireless adapters that will give you wireless carplay.
  4. Purely from personal experience, I would recommend the AA Wireless dongle. Had one for several years and had no issues whatsoever. Itregularly updates and reboots without problems.
  5. Have you tried using a 2032 battery? They are slightly thicker, 2.5 mm v 3.2 mm, and put more pressure on the contacts.
  6. Apologies, my mistake. It's the VRS that was diesel only.
  7. if 4x4 it will have a differential at the back. Has it been written off?
  8. Are you checking reg plate or chassis number?
  9. A quick look under the rear should clarify 4x4. The 4x4s only had the diesel engine.
  10. Do you have electric memory seats? I believe the dipping mirrors won't work unless you have the correct seats.
  11. I'm not sure why you think that the 2.5Ghz and 5Ghz bands should have different names but they should be part of the same network allowing the phone, and other devices, to connect to the best signal.
  12. Sadly, my brain can't remember the details, but I probably used the website. However, your phone only connects to one wifi network at a time. Your home network may be stopping your phone connecting to the AA Wireless network.
  13. I have used the AA Wireless device for some years and have not had any issues. Once setup it simply connects to my phone when I get in my car. There are some cheaper options which have been used by others without problems. Good luck with your search.
  14. Agreed, although some owners have issues with their dealer. Personally, I have had no issues with my dealer and am happy to continue for the next couple of years.
  15. It's like insurance, great to have and costly. Until something breaks and then it's worth it. My car will be 8 years old when the warranty expires. Despite my low mileage, 24000, keeping contact with Skoda must be a good idea?
  16. Formatting the card won't touch the security partition
  17. Hi, you need to use the Skoda card, as it has a security partition on it. Make sure you copy the existing files to you computer before you format the card. Good Luck
  18. It. Could be worthwhile going for a longer drive to see whether the stop/start kicks in when the battery gets to a decent level. If it does kick in, then the battery is falling. Good luck.
  19. Yes, it is, and it's a drain on the battery. If you leave your car with the reader plugged in, it can drain your battery faster than normal.
  20. Have you checked in the car staus in your MIB unit? This will tell you why the stop start is disabled.
  21. Get used to looking at the dash, if it's all lit up, the car is switched on. 😀😀👍👍
  22. What sort of camera are you using? Some cameras automatically add the GPS coordinates to the photos.
  23. I used Fairstars CD Ripper to do all of my cds(>300 albums). It allows you to configure how the tracks and albums are stored. It also has a link to a database that will recognise your album. After testing a couple of cds, I had the naming down ok.
  24. How did the files get on your laptop?
