  1. Thanks for this. It looks like it was a GPF regen as I currently do a lot of short journeys where the engine won't get fully up to temp. 👍👍👍
  2. Car is a 2019 VRS245 at 11000 miles and averages around 32/33 MPG around town. OBDEleven scan shows no faults. We are just about to set off for a week away so I filled up with a tankful of V-Power (cost a bit of a shock!!) . I've done about 18 miles since the fill up. This morning I did my normal Saturday morning journey of around 10 miles and am on the way home when I notice 1/8th of a tank has been used - far more than expected. Normally the needle wouldn't have move at this mileage. after driving home the gauge is showing another 1/8th of a tank gone. That's a total of 38 miles for a 1/4 of a tank. As I get out of the car, I can smell petrol near the rear of the car. Definitely something wrong here. On the phone to Skoda Assist and a VW engineer comes out a couple of hours later, He can't find anything wrong and no petrol smell. He had taken the car for a test drive and gave it some stick. Nothing, nada, The gauge had gone further down than would be expected for a test drive. Could this be a petrol particulate filter regen? Has anybody else seen anything like this? I'm going for another test drive tonight as we are supposed to be driving to Bristol tomorrow and I don't want to take any chances. Thanks for any ideas.
  3. Yeah, it's expensive. I'm on a bit of a road trip next week and as i don't normally do a lot of miles during the week, i thought I'll treat the motor with some Shell unleaded - wrong - no normal unleaded at any of my local Shell stations. so, V-Power it is then. The bonus is that V-Power is still E5.
  4. Is there an App button on your display? This will take you back to Android Auto.
  5. Have you changed or updated your phone recently? Android will lock applications when the screen lock kicks in.
  6. Maybe the original purchaser had a bad back and needed the heated seats??
  7. I would go for a reskin. A few years back I did similar damage to a front door. The body shop quoted £250 to repair the damage and they had several goes, but each time I could see a ripple in the repaired panel. Eventually they said they couldn't do any better and came out with the phrase " we should have reskinned ". The final attempt was much better than the first attempt. To be fair to the body shop, the door looked great at first sight but where they left the car for me to inspect it showed up the ripple in reflections of a nearby wall. It became simple to move around to see the fault after that. They always agreed with me about the ripple but explained to me that once a panel is stretched it is almost impossible to get flat again. We parted on good terms and I would recommend them to anybody. You should also consider the colour of your car and how easy it is to match the shade.
  8. Yeah, I thought about this but prefer to keep the number of connections down. Turned out expensive. 😄😄😄
  9. Some info for other Android Auto users..... I had issues after upgrading from an S7 to S20+. One of the main differences between the S7 and S20+ is the change from USB B to USB C connections, meaning I had to buy new cables. Initially, with the new cables, the Android Auto connection was fine but then it would drop out intermittently, e.g. going down a bumpy road. Sometimes the connection would come back, sometimes not. I tried another cable but no difference. The cables I had bought were mid price range, so I decided to try a more expensive cable for 3A charging and Data Sync. Hey presto no more dropping out. May the the tolerances on the new cable are tighter and fit better in the phone socket. Is this a case of you get what you pay for?
  10. I also have had issues, after upgrading from an S7 to S20+. Due to issues running another app I already had switched of the adaptive battery. 11. Just something to think about.... How much power does the dongle use when it's not connected to your phone? I have an OBDEleven dongle and it flattened the battery when the car was left alone for a couple of weeks. With the dongle disconnected and the battery fully charged the battery was still good after 3 weeks.
  12. +1 for that
  13. When you say it's not flawless, what are the issues? I use Waze a lot but the cable is very sensitive to being moved in my phone and will drop out without warning .
  14. Isn't this for iPhone only??
  15. Whatever the comparison with other mapping apps, the built in unit should still work. I have checked out my mib2 with the latest update and my previous destinations do not now work. So SKODA seem to have changed the way stored destinations, both previous and favourites, are referenced. A new destination works fine. Any ideas how to clear my previous destinations?
  16. Sadly not. The SKODA card has a security partition. Did you delete the files or format the card?
  17. Try a damaged screw extractor set - if they go big enough. Check them out on Amazon. Good luck
  18. What do you mean by exciting? What next depends on your budget. Did you buy your 245 new? How much will you lose by changing your car? Would it be cheaper to wait for the warranty to expire and change suspension, chip it, etc. Good luck.
  19. There are some editions where the 19s were standard. When I ordered my 245 early 2019 there was a special which was good value for money but couldn't be ordered with 18s so I had to go custom config to get the 18s.
  20. Searching on Google shows this could be "Right Temperature flap fault code". Further searches could find you more details.
  21. MP3 files are compressed to reduce the file size, this can result in a slightly reduced sound fidelity: not normally noticed in a car. Flac files are uncompressed and lossless. This gives a sound that is exactly as it is on the CD.
  22. I have a SanDisk Ultra 200 GB microSDXC Memory Card and have had no issues with it I also use flac files no difference in the car but better for my hifi system. Saves storing flat and mp3.
  23. I have a SanDisk Ultra 200 GB microSDXC Memory Card and have had no issues with it
