My guess is it will be the same as other skoda... So there will be two small rectangular covers on the interior hatch trim that can be popped off to reveal three nuts. Undo those and the light unit should come off.

Yes it does both and works fine on our Kodiaq which we regularly use on ferries to and from Belfast. One thing to be wary of though is that it automatically resets both to 'on' when you next unlock. So if you lock the car on the ferry and then realise you've forgotten something and unlock and open the car to get it you'll need to turn the ignition on and untick the box again...

Might be worth checking the propshaft couplings but at that low mileage they're probably ok. You'll soon hear if not as there'll be a drone at 2300rpm in top gear.

From memory the glass comes with that part attached or at least can do something you can manage without the part number... Edit... Or is that the part on the mirror motor that the glass fits onto??

They sometimes ask re odometer mileage but also often look at MOT records

In what way other than the early nylon cam gear and oil pump drive issues? Both were resolved via modified parts resulting in a pretty reliable engine that was used by a multitude of other low volume manufacturers.

The Capri may not have been much cop but it did at least have some style and the Essex and Cologne V6s sounded lovely. Looking closely the new one does have some styling elements from the old one... Such as rear side window line and bonnet profile but I agree they should have used a new name.

That sounds more like a duff battery or loose battery connection to me!

At a guess you've got a knackered glow plug that isn't heating at all... Based on the assumption that the ECU monitors current draw and hence can tell if it's open circuit and not heating (hence static)?? If you can get at them you can measure the resistance across them between the contact and the engine block to check.
