  1. Has anyone managed to pin Skoda down to a reliable release date for this software upgrade yet? Will it be over the air or have to be installed at the dealers? Will it include any additional 'features' as a form of compensation?
  2. Hi, I'm pretty sure my superb is suffering the same, or similar, software problems with slightly different symptoms. I never have to actually switch off Lane Keeping, Speed assist etc. I just get in, start up and drive off. So that saves me a job. However, I never see any yellow fault icons for these on the dashboard. I do see the icons for these in white. The lane keeping icon does very rarely flicker to green and lane keeping starts to work very half heartedly. Is it worth removing the number 22 fuse as has been mentioned previously by bazy. I take it that you would do this with the ignition off? Does it have to remain out for any length of time, or is it just an unplug and refit? I've not attempted this myself as it seems like on RH drive cars you have to partially remove the glovebox.
  3. Hi, I picked up my new Superb SE L on Tuesday. Very nice, although I think I preferred my old one without myriad settings and the big screen. I will probably (hope to) change my mind when I get used to it? I dont get any error messages on the dash about systems not working. I just get in set off and lane assist, speed and drowsiness appear to be turned off! Strange. I don't detect any adverse driving conditions from them not being on, it just feels normal. One thing I have noticed which feels very wierd is that when you engage cruise control it reads the road speed signs and just does it! If you are in a 30mph zone it clics along at 30mph. If you then enter past a derestricted speed sign it accelerates up to 60mph. It feels very wierd... and dangerous!

  5. Hi QuinFin, I bet you are excited! I am too, I pick up mine here in the UK on Tuesday afternoon. In the general Superb Mk4 forum there are a lot of posts regarding a major software problem that won't be fixed untill Wk47. I think it involves much of the ADAS system (Lane keeping assistant, Traffic signal recognition assistant etc etc) not working with dashboard error icons showing the full extent. The car is still driveable but without these assistants. Not trying to alarm you but you need to be aware. I am hopefull we'll both be fine? Post back when you have the car with how it is. I will do the same. Good luck!
  6. I'm picking my new Superb up on Saturday. Has this software error been sorted by Skoda or should I expect problems? Does it affect all Superbs or just the 'unlucky' ones?
  7. I should be collecting my new Superb 1.5 SE L later this week. I currently have a Mk3 2.0 Superb L&K. I thought hard about another L&K but decided I did not want a diesel and did not need 4 wheel drive and the extra cost. I have specced the SE L with 'Suite Cognac memory seats' & Canton sound system because I liked these in the L&K I have also had the full tow bar to use a bike carrier to avoid having to lift heavy ebikes into the boot. I might miss the 2.0 power a bit but can live with that. Wifey says I drive too fast anyway for an old (71) git!
  8. My first thought was someone being sick in a toilet! So perhaps it's telling you to slow down. Ha.
  9. Ended up having to buy one with the dealers repair quote. It turned out I did not really need it. The bit we thought was broken wasnt! and the stealer wouldnt take it back. So now I have a brand new one if any one is interested pm me.
  10. Hi, I am just about to get my new Superb SE L and would very much like to have 'Scandinavian' (I think?) style DRL's activated. It makes no sense to me to have DRL's at the front and not at the rear. I know it can be coded on the Mk3 superbs but have not heard whether it can be turned on with the Mk4. If it can what is the best way to do this?
  11. It needs a cover, otherwise being under the rear bumber it's going to get very wet and dirty inside, which can't be good! I'm waiting for my new Superb to land (it should have been a fortnight ago). I have specced the folding towbar which is what the hole is for. I still intend to cover the hole with a 3Dprinted part or some decent ducktape to keep the crap out.
  12. Rather than wait for any action from Skoda to provide a cover, I would close the hole with some decent Duck tape. It looks to inviting for a cat to climb into. Meeow!
  13. They are indeed next to useless! PDF is the way to go. Skoda must have these tucked away somewhere?
  14. Go to a dealer and ask these questions... it's what they are for. I short the answer to each of your questions is 'yes'.
  15. I have a brand new boxed Skoda Superb L&K all singing and dancing drivers side mirror glass going spare if you need one?
  16. I would be interested in this too.
  17. The car was ordered on June 20th
  18. Hi, In my current Superb L&K I update the maps and play music from SD cards. I also play music and play video files from the USB A sockets via memory sticks. I have a new 2024 Superb SE L due to arrive in early September and am interested in how I will do this in the new car. Also will all the formats for audio and video be the same on the new head unit? I've not had any useful information from the dealer on this and am not able to get an early manual to check this out. I hope someone can help?
  19. I've not forgotten you Numskull, just hedging bets! At the dealers next Tuesday will contact you after then.
  20. Hi, Did you ever get sorted. I will have a brand new boxed genuine skoda 2014-2023 drivers side mirror glass for L&K if you still need one?
  21. Hi, I hope someone out there can help? I need to touch up a couple of largish stone chips on my Superb rear wheels. They are the optional 19" Phoenix anthracite alloy wheels (PJ8). I am unable to find the right colour or a reputable place to buy this from. Can anyone help?
  22. Hi, I think I need to replace the touchscreen (3V0919606 BYY) on my Superb Columbus head unit. How do I remove the one that's fitted now? Do I need any special tools? Has anyone got a spare unwanted working screen? Are there any guides to replacing the screen available for me to follow?
  23. Ok. Thanks. Are there any guides available for swapping the screens?
  24. Thanks for the information pab567. I am going to try re-flashing the firmware first with the latest version from varooom. If I do need to replace the touchscreen is that something you can supply? How easy is it to replace? Do I need any special tools?
  25. Thanks very much for that. Just a last question... Do I just copy that file to a blank SD card or do I have to unzip it with something and just put the resultant files on a blank SD card? Does the SD card need a name?
