Columbus touchscreen replacement

Featured Replies

Hi,

I think I need to replace the touchscreen (3V0919606 BYY) on my Superb Columbus head unit.

How do I remove the one that's fitted now? Do I need any special tools?

Has anyone got a spare unwanted working screen?

Are there any guides to replacing the screen available for me to follow?

You need 4 special radio removal keys, these can be had on eBay for cheap.

slots into 4 holes on the face of the display till it clicks, then screen pulls out.

disconnect both plugs

replace in reverse order

As you know the ways, take it out and leave it 30 minutes or so and plug back in, could just be a horrible gremlin and free to try at the first instance
