If I may say, I've actually joined nurburgringphotos :D following on from posting a few up in the ringers forum.

For those who have decent shots, it's worth signing up  Registration is free :D and for every photo which is sold at €10, they keep €5 and you get €5

I've just spent an hour going through some of my better shots in photoshop, tidying them up a bit and then sticking them up on nurburgringphotos.

I haven't bothered putting any of our lot up there as you're all entitled to them FoC ;)

And no, Jason, don't worry, you haven't just paid for a photo I took :P

Although speaking to the guys, apparently, there's no restriction to getting within the spectator fence and camping behind the armcos / crash barriers. It definately gives better photos 'cos you're at the same height. Worth knowing for next time we go there ;):)

edit: Phil, great photos

Matthew, one of my party is in serious bother with his Honda NSX and needs to source a pair of front discs urgently.

We will be driving tomorrow from Holyhead to Dover and would appreciate it if anyone knew of a Honda dealer / Honda parts source close to our route and could get the information to us.

If we can get the parts we can fit the discs ourselves - and at this stage cost of the discs need not be a consideration.

...

Thanks in anticipation.

Mods, I just want to close the loop on the above crie de coeur from the original booking thread, which is now closed. If this is OT, then please feel free to find an appropriate home for the post.

We got a couple of texts from kind people pointing us to the the same Honda spares place in Guildford, Essex but we were unable to source the discs there in the time available; thanks to the texters for taking the time and trouble to read the original post and forward the information.

Sincere thanks to the young chap (whose name we never got) working the desk at Graham Walker's in Chester on Friday 9th May who with one telephone call found discs for us. Over and above the call of duty on a very busy Friday afternoon. We'd spent 4 hours trying every motor factors and Honda dealership / specialist (even Kwik Fit in a mad moment of desperation) we could find in that general locality. We divided our forces so some of them got two calls (phone and in person) from these crazy, sweaty Irish guys on a very strange mission.

Sincere thanks to the folks at Brake Technology in the Wrexham Industrial Estate (I think) for setting aside a set for us, and waiting for us to find our way there eventually @ 4:00pm. (Note to Garmin / NavTeq: Reddlitch Road is not in the Wrexham Industrial Estate, its not even close).

Sincere thanks to HM Gov or whoever it was invested in all the sadly empty industrial units in that area - they make great workshops at a pinch.

I was behind that lambo one morning coming down that hill, queued up.... I turned off my engine and rolled down on the handbrake just so I could listen to it tickover. :o:cool: Had to be done.

I do a similar thing on my commute to work but it involves a Carerra 4s moving thru 1st and 2nd gears (with aftermarket exhaust I think?) there's no hope for us... :D:)

And a Stones fan as well - is there no end to this man's talents and exquisite good taste?

Thanks for before pictures, but the car looked better on the track!
