Well truth be told I wanted the Marlin day to see what the car was as standard, and the kent day to see what it is like "fettled". But the work is being done sooner than the Marlin day now so I don't really see the point in doing both. The day would cost best part of £100 in fuel and the run, and when you only get one day off a week I need to use it wisely!

Will make my mind up nearer the time if thats ok! :)

Ya but speak no evil and hear no evil will not be able to take the p1ss if you are not there. See no evil will be driving around his country estate so won't be there.

As much as I'd like a remap my insurance company were being a**holes when I asked them about mods a few months back so its now going to have to wait until renewal time next spring :(:thumbdwn:

At least I can have a chat to IP on the RR day and see what to expect from a custom remap when I finally get it done I spose. :D

I'm interested in a remap at £330 for a generic (mk1 '05 octy vRS). Any idea of price for a custom map and likely benefits over generic? Sorry if that's crystalball gazing! I'm stock apart from a K&N and happy to stick with 97+ octane. Do these prices include VAT?!

If your stock then stick with the generic map.

I'm sure Mike will advise whats best for your cars current state of tune

Right, I've had a word with Mike and he is willing to remap any (Briskoda) Skoda with any mods running a standard turbo for £400. That's diesel or petrol, Mk1 or 2 Octavia's. He will still do the generic maps for £330. That's a bloody good deal given the quality of the map.

Any luck mate? Insurance quoted me £200 extra on premium with my accidental damage excess going up to £750 for fault claims.

How does that sound?

Yup, he can map your car and at the £400 price. :D
