Hey there all the wonderful Skoda owners!

I'm Jake02 and I'm from Sydney, Australia. I own an Octavia RS 2.0TFSI Manual (note the lack of the v - Australia's vRs is just RS). Had it for just under three months and its VERY good. Had a Subaru Liberty - Legacy everywhere else in the world - for 8 years which was a very good car but my current one is pretty darn good! Here are some pics...:)

Skoda's sell quite slowly here in Oz (though we only have two models - and the Scout has just been launched) with top sales per month so far topping 81. Anyway, not to worry!

Thanks,

Jake02

Welcome to Briskoda! We have a regular Antipodean contributor (RobClubley) from NZ, but can't think of any Aussies off the top of my head!

welcome to briskoda

Welcome, to Briskoda.

There is at least one other Briskoian in Aus. I believe they are in the Sydney area somewhere. Sorry don't know their user name but will search around for you.

Are you anywhere near the district of Gordon?

Regards

now THAT is a good point! i never thought of it like that...

Welcome fella - Lovely car you've got there. Bet it draws a few looks down in Oz? ;)

Welcome.Interesting re no v.

I was wondering if the badge would be different but obviously not!

Hiya.

The v in vRS is UK only, because Ford got stroppy with SUK about "using our brand identity", which is a d@nmed cheek, because the first use of "RS" that I know of was actually by Porsche, in the 1950s. To see more, run a site search for "RennSport".

Welcome :)

My sister in-law lives in Australia, do you know her? ;) :P

Welcome to the forum, there is loads of info on here for the OctyII vRS to have a nose at

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome.

I get quite a lot of email from Aus via my website so there definately seems to be quite a following.

G-day.............:)

G'day cobber, bonza set of wheels, you live in one of the best ciries on the planet

Welcome to the forum.

You'll find a wealth of info on here about your new car, well done for choosing white, very cool car indeed.

Bonza - lol...

yeah it draws a few looks here in oz - alot of people are always asking what brand it is and what its like.

when people ask what it is and i tell them - some dont know at all so we tell them of the advertising here. basically, an RS is built out of sand on a beach - that ads been running for about 6 months now.

its quite clever and draws alot of attention

Goes nicely with our Fabia 2 adverts, where the car is "built" out of cakes and the like.

Nice Ad, Our ad's make cars out of cake so I suppose your's is a " Sand "-wich...:)
