Saw my first Superb II as a taxi this morning, a Silver SE.

Stands out on the rank so much, makes the other mundanos and 607s look very dull.

The chap who owns it is a local guy who has got 6 Superb MKI and is slowly going to convert his fleet to new Superbs. For comedy value he even ordered it with Park Assist!

One of our local guys has one, got it a week after the offical launch. does look very nice in white with privacy glass.

I saw one on the A21 a couple of days ago going northwards towards Sevenoaks. Thought it was a Passat at first then looked closer, very nice!

Was a rosso brunello one, would guess it was bought from the Tunbridge Wells dealership.

White with privacy glass sounds quite cool, especially if it was an Elegance (unlikely).

I reckon come March next year every rank in the country is going to have a couple of them there at any time!

i wonder if any non-taxi customers will order it in candy white ?

Saw a '58 plate in black with privicy glass and xenons driving through teddington high street the other morning on my way to work, have to say it does look good in the flesh

You would if you were ordering one which could be a taxi in years to come, eg a diesel, but then again trade-ins are worthless these days it probably won't make much odds

The Superb taxi you saw was my dads 60th birthday present and what a car it is !

I ordered it on 29th July and got just over 2 weeks ago.

Its an SE and I got him the Park Assist and Sat Nav even though he won't use it.

We will be upgrading our fleet, hopefully to more of these wonderful cars and was wondering if there was still a delay in the S as I heard there was an issue with the trim or some factory problem !

Our fleet consists of all sorts of cars including the latest Volvo V70s and S Class Mercedes and I can tell you I the Superb matches them and all our clients are very very impressed.

I feel really sorry for BMW, Merc etc as I think they will be losing a few customers !

I cant agree that BMW or Merc or any of the other "Top Brands" will be losing much sales to Skoda as most of the drivers of these cars are still buying the badge, not the car.

If (as there are) people in the Focus / Golf class who still wont buy a Skoda because of the badge, I doubt there will be very many in the Exec sector who will even know about the Superb - never mind actually go out and buy one :thumbdwn:

Think there is a delay on models spec'ed with a solar sunroof, but I doubt that is standard on the S

My Octy's going to the dealer for a service next week so going to have a good nose round their Superb while I'm there

The old man is still loving the car.

bit of a shock the other day though as he was driving down the road and heard a clonking sound !

A bit worried, he took it to one of the garages we use and they were shocked to see that some bolt on the suspension was loose and if he had carried on for a little while longer it could have been nasty.

I don't know the full story but will be going down there in a while.

Planning on ordering a new superb 170cr elegance soon. This will replace my superb elegance I have used as a taxi for the last couple of years. Nothing else comes close for passenger space. None being used for taxi's in Hereford yet so should be the 1st!

We've got one floating about in boring blue, god knows how the guy is affording it at 17k a go, I think it's an S model, sadly it doesn't look that great and ppl say to me how much better mine looks.

There's been a MkII taxi around Brecon for 2 or 3 months after the owner changed from his MkI. For a small town without a dealer nearby, we are well represented with Skoda taxis as there's also a MkII Octavia estate.

I've only seen one Superb 2 that isnt a taxi so far. A local taxi firm known for its silver E classes have got a silver superb and another has a black one

There were quite a few black Superb II taxi's in Brussels at the weekend, but not sure which models.

Haha wait no longer there is one here now and also a Black one in Christchurch.The Yellow one looks gastly.If i get a chance i will put a picture of it on here soon.Its only just come on so no white stripes and numbers yet haha.

Forgot to say they are all sprayed in Ford Jamaica Yellow.
