7k on a fabia thats just stupidity LOL

Still wont be especially quick.... I'd rather just buy an Evo :)

Every little helps :)

We're not talking about Tesco remaps here.. :P

it's all just opinion, but I reckon Gary went about things in the right way with his SE

:)

but it does still go with what amanda says, you can't get it to handle properly even spending bucket loads of cash, have i enjoyed doing it? hell yes was it worth it? well probably not as i till can't seem to get it setup right, and probably never will i think i went the right way with the car,and at the moment am unsure about wether i will go any further with it as even with my much modified driving skills, spending next to an unlimitted budget on chassis mods,it still refuses to go round corners the way i want it to,yes on track i have embarrased far more expensive machinery, and have been shamed by cars that really shouldn't have been capable of coming by me,but if i am honest(and not meaning to sound big headed)if i had been driving the many evo's/skylines/scoobys/porshes/m3's ect that i have shamed on track i think the little blue furby wouldn't have had a look in,and there lies the lesson the best mod you can do is buy some tuition, and you don't lose it when you sell the car.The fabia can be made way better than standard, but don't think for a second that it comes cheap or easy,if you can't afford high end parts, then you can't afford to mod, budget parts make next to no difference in performance, and break easy with hard use.

The fabia vrs remains one of my all time favorite cars that i have owned, and it is great fun in standard form and gets better when modded,it can be made to go very fast in a straight line with a lot of money, but no matter what you do to it it will NEVER go round corners properly with the heavy tdi lump up front,at the end of the day you can't change the laws of physics no matter how much money or know how you throw at it,build a 1.8t fabia and i believe you would be onto a winner.

Just my opinion here and based on nothing more than my own expierience, and if anyone does find a way to make it handle properly tell me:thumbup:

can't and wont try to argue with that, but I was looking at it from the point of view that if you're going to be spending a decent amount of money modding what is quite an "ordinary" car then your's was the more sensible approach :o

i agree andy and most of that post is aimed at those who in some way believe they are going to get a fabia to go round corners quicker than owt else,i just got carried away:O allways good to see knowledgable people stating they believe what you have done is the right way:thumbup:
