VRS Estate in the snow (ish)

Featured Replies

Not much snow granted but I thought I'd take some pics of the car I picked up last week. My L&K has been PX'd after its three years warranty was up and I got this for a very good price with the current offers for the built stuff before the facelift (or whatever they do with the VRS in the meantime).

It hasnt got xenons which i do miss but ive ordered some philips xtremes and bluevision sidelights which should be here tomorrow from powerbulbs. Also it doesnt have the auto dipping mirror but Ive found the sunset glass takes care of a lot of the glare by itself.

I also cant believe how quiet the CR engine is compared to my old PD 140. Its that quiet that it feels (nearly) like a petrol when it starts up and is great when cruising. I also wasnt sure what to expect and if I'd notice much of a difference between the 140 and 170 as it didnt feel like much of a change when I test drove a hatchback. I tried it out today on some stop start dual carriageway near me and the difference is huge with loads more torque right through the rev range, tis a stunning engine

Anyway, here are some pic from the dusting of snow today and a little bit of "top gear" grad in the sky!

Note Ive darkened the sunset glass in this cos I was bored so this isn't a real indication of how it looks
