OK - as long as it's in front of the museum itself, I don't see there being any navving issues. :D

Must remember to buy a paper map for a prize

This might do instead Mapa Mundi especially for those coming a long way round:rofl:

paper map?

forecast says 60% chance of rain, eeek! wheres the heat wave gone?!

my car will be washed on friday night ready for the rolling road day on saturday at jkm and then we head towards the banbury holiday inn where were staying saturday night - that means a few beers and frankie and bennies sat night as thats next to the hotel!

anyone else staying there? j11 m40.

I am just down the road from you mate and Jules lives in Banbury and were supposed to be at a BBQ that night so could possibly meet up for a beer?

Having looked at the vastness of the Gaydon site on google earth, wherabouts do we actually go when we drive in, or it will it be blindingly obvious on arrival?

Marshalls will be helping out on the day........:D

Also, just been to Gaydon this morning for a meeting with Aston Martin and it's very well sign posted off the M40 so you won't get lost........

Best thing ever invented - no batteries, wire, simple, almost idiot proof if you hold it right way round.

Only technology required is located between ones ears = Brain

I have my map reader aka SWMBO to help me get there, I have a satnav but it's not the greatest!

Indeed  Was a bit tongue in cheek that, but I have done the whole Dartmoor navigating by OS map and compass, etc. Can't beat a bit of old skool.

There will be some 'Marshalls'

I'll definitely be there

See you Sunday

Bryan Marshall

Oh well I'm deffo a maybe now for coming to this now, SWMBO has been called out to work on Monday and would require the car for Monday so I'm a bit scuppered, the only way I can see it is that I come down on Saturday and pop along for a few hours on Sunday and leave about 3 or 4pm to drive back up the road to edinburgh (6Hours) for SWMBO to work Monday Morning at 8.30

I will keep you updated, but got to admit I'm still mad enough to come down for a few hours!

Ok, Been speaking to SWMBO, she is not sure on the work situ but reckons we could go for a few hours on Sunday and leave about the times I suggested and do it in six hours with us both taking turns at driving.

Important Information.

To make everything absolutely clear

Only current Forum Partners have been invited to this meet at Gaydon.

Anyone else who arrives claiming they have permission to be there for trade purposes or anyone who is found to be trading or seeking to introduce themselves will be asked to leave the Gaydon meeting immediately.

We are obliged to remind everyone of this simple rule It applys to ALL

There have been a few cases where seemingly perfect posts from people who are coming to the meet have made posts within the various sections of the forum which have perhaps implied that they will have items to sell at Gaydon. Unfortunately this can be construed as trading.

Consequently we ask that if you have 'surplus' items to dispose of that you make the sale arrangements BEFORE you arrive at Gaydon. That does not give carte blanche to bring along multiple items that are the same. So if you have something to sell put it in the for sale section with a request for a pm to conclude the deal and collection arrangements

Regretably any ref to Gaydon in these posts will be removed.

We trust that everyone will co-operate to make this a successful event for Briskoda and our Partners.

Oh, and a link to Saturday's weather forecast for Gaydon. I find Accuweather tend to be on the money most of the time:

AccuWeather.com - Gaydon, England - Weather Forecast Details - Local Forecasts

Sundays weather on that doesnt look too bad , its saturdays Im worried about , especially sat night! I dont have any Megs quick detailer -all I have is some Gold Class and glass/trim/tyre cleaner - and Im not bringing a bucket down!!! Will there be anyone selling cleaning gear down there that I could get some from , I will try to get a coat of wax on mine tomorrow night but its guaranteed to be minging by the time i get there on Sunday!

Does anyone is coming from Leicester or area ?? We can go together :)))

What time is everyone arriving at the event?

I am arriving no earlier than 9, as I believe many others?

9.30ish, for the NW convoy - all things being well....

Steve

Won't be there till after 10 I reckon with the 'Yorkshire' convoy starting in Doncaster.

Still plenty of time to socialise and have a mooch round the museum!

Phil

Il be there around 10ish , the place Im staying has a free breakfast so im not missing that!! lol ;)

whatabout leicestershire ??

We should arrive about 12 ish, staying a couple of hours then heading off again on holiday....yeah.

paper map?

its what pirates use for treasure

I've had to drop my car of at the dealers this morning for them to investigate a strange knocking noise that has developed over the last day or two. They are pretty busy today but fingers crossed they can find it and fix it.

We'll still be coming - being a two Fabia vRS household has its advantages - just hope its in mine!

If i get the car upto scratch on Saturday then i may well attend as I'm not too far away, just means ill have to drive slowly up the M40 to avoid any bugs!
