Do you have a rotary sander? I hear the "brushed metal" look is the in thing at the moment. One day to remove all the rest of the paint and job's a good'un.

Just Vacuumed the inside of the car, the outside can stay as it is. It doesnt look that bad, so it will be mildly dirty.

well i can guarantee mine wont be winning any prizes, pulled the tendons in all my fingers on my left hand at work last night and its painful enough that the most ive done to day was just spray the garden hose over it and left it to the rain to sort out. So anyone who wants to wash it for me tomorrow can split the prize with me if on the very slight chance it wins

Took the car to the local Kosowash, mainly because it needed a clean rather than a special occasion. Don't care if it wins any prizes so :P

how about an everyday and i dont give a toss how it looks comp i know i could get the worlds best detailer to come and do my car today, within an hour i will end up with it looking the same as yesterday as minitexts boots the back of the seats and making usual childrens mess in the back, the dog in the boot and swmbo putting make up everywhere in the front. Thinking about it i might as well get a taxi sign to go on my car too

In that case I'll stop refurbing my wheels in the drizzle and bring my work car, the L&K with cooker elements & invoices all over the back seat & a boot full of tools an appliance spares. I recon the prize is as good as mine! !

Ah, there's always one skoda which kicks up a fuss at having to go for a long drive the next day, like a petulant child! Mine's relishing the journey. Took her for a spin earlier and all's good.

Well good day so far with the JKM RR this morning and some good results with the car stock - 186.9bhp and 250lb/ft. Drove up to Banbury after and now in the hotel and off to Frankie & Bennies later! So not too far to drive up from here which is good.

Whats the conensus for arrival time? Dont wana be mega early but enough to be involved and ensure I get parked in the right area, is the plan still to park by model type?

Just finished cleaning the car... don't know why though because it ain't going to look that clean after the 200 mile drive tomorrow

Cleaned, polished, hoovered....and now it's just started to rain but whatever happens it will be cleaner than if I hadn't bothered

A bucket on it's own is no good...mine's been polished up this afternoon as I'd had enough of work this week.

Ran mine under some water today and gave it a good polish too :P looking shiiiiney! with a bit of tyre dressing and black trim dressing on the grills and strips

well we have arrived at Nuneaton and the weather was kind to us, just the flys to take off and run the detailer over it and another coat of polish and it's ready!

As long as Mr Focus parked next to me does not dent the door and the astra next to me we should be ok.

It's amazing you park bang on in the middle of a space and someone comes up right close to you.

Just washed and polished the car again, glad I finished when I did because a) it looks like it's about to rain (alot) and I've just run out of SRP . There'll just be the trim to do when I get there. She's looking shineee
