  • I've got just the thing you need for your engine, looks like your inlet manifold is a 50mm jobbie. In which case, how about this to bling up the engine? Smoothed and chrome plated, very nice, wa

Hopefully get it in primer tomorrow then start to get it ready for paint. Try to get the shell in colour next weekend if i get chance to finish the fiesta and MX5 first.

Wayhey!

Just remember to port all this to a blog, it'll be gone in Feb!

Pain in the arse to put it all across and blogs suck ass. Think the project posts will die in feb then as one of the other sites i used to post on did the same and it failed.

I have to say, hats off fella. Always had a soft spot for the mk2.

It is mate - took me a few hours to get everything sorted.

And blogs don't show up in normal "new content" posts, so will only get read by those who are actively looking for them. I don't like them either!

Liking this build thread with great mods too!! would be lost without my mk2 for a bit of old school coolness

Well the shell it all painted now.

Got it out of the booth this morning and polished it all up. Came out better than i thought it would.

This looks nice mate...........

Coming along nicely.

New blog entries do show under the "view new content", you just need to click on the blog tab to see the new entries.

I am not sure of the exact date for the closing of this forum, new threads are already disallowed so I guess it will be soon.

Exactly, you need to be pro-active in looking for it

Whereas now this thread will show up in the "new posts".

Got 12 months MOT on the daily now just needs 2 rear brake flex's which i already have and a pair of front CV boots but got a spare set of shafts.

Got a spare pair of 16v rear lights put on today along with the RA's off the white 16v then gave it a good clean and polish. Rivets on most of the arch's were rusted and not holding the arch trims on. Rivets replaced and all arch's ok.

Spent ages getting paint off the lower side of the passenger door trim from last bodge repair. Takes longer to mask it up than to remove it but some people are dumb.

Top job - keep it up

Good to see another Golf too, well saved :D

Hope this all makes it across to a 'blog' OK - it damn well deserves to...
